Intrafractional motion during radiotherapy delivery can deteriorate the delivered dose. Dynamic rotational motion of up to 38 degrees has been reported during prostate cancer radiotherapy, but methods to determine the dosimetric consequences of such rotations are lacking. Here, we create and experimentally validate a dose reconstruction method that accounts for dynamic rotations and translations in a commercial treatment planning system (TPS). Interplay effects are quantified by comparing dose reconstructions with dynamic and constant rotations.

The dose reconstruction accumulates the dose in points of interest while the points are moved in six degrees of freedom (6DoF) in a precalculated time-resolved four-dimensional (4D) dose matrix to emulate dynamic motion in a patient. The required 4D dose matrix was generated by splitting the original treatment plan into multiple sub-beams, each representing 0.4s dose delivery, and recalculating the dose of the split plan in the TPS (Eclipse). The dose accumulation

A method to perform dose reconstructions for dynamic 6DoF motion in a TPS was developed and experimentally validated. It revealed large differences in dose distribution between dynamic and constant rotations not identifiable through dose reconstructions with constant rotation.

Understanding barriers and facilitators for limiting occupational sitting and what impact it has on health on those with type 2 diabetes is essential for future trials and intervention development in primary healthcare settings. This study aimed to explore the feasibility and acceptability of an intervention using mobile health (mHealth) technology, together with counselling by a diabetes specialist nurse, to reduce occupational sitting in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Individual semi-structured interviews were conducted in 15 participants with type 2 diabetes who completed a 3-month intervention including mHealth; activity tracker (Garmin Vivofit3) and SMS reminders, one initial face-to-face patient-centred counselling session and three telephone follow-up calls by a diabetes specialist nurse within the primary healthcare system in Sweden. The interviews were recorded, transcribed verbatim and analysed using qualitative content analysis.

Two themes were identified (1) 'From baby steps to milestones' refized in individual type 2 diabetes programmes aiming to reduce workplace sitting.Protein palmitoylation (S-acylation) has emerged as an important player in a range of cellular processes, and as a result, the palmitoyl-acyltransferase (PAT) enzymes which mediate this modification have entered into the spotlight. Palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC5 (ZDHHC5) is among the more unique members of the PAT family as it is mainly localised to the plasma membrane and contains an extended cytoplasmic domain with several regulatory features. 2Hydroxybenzylamine ZDHHC5 plays a vital role in a wide range of processes in different cell types. In this review, we offer a summary of the functions of ZDHHC5 in synaptic plasticity, cardiac function, cell adhesion and fatty acid uptake, among other processes. We also explore recent work has revealed several mechanisms to control the activity, localisation and function of ZDHHC5.MIV molecular oxo-clusters (M=Zr, Hf, Ce, Th, U, Np, Pu) are prolific in bottoms-up material design, catalysis, and elucidating reaction pathways in nature and in synthesis. Here we introduce Ce70 , a wheel-shaped oxo-cluster, [CeIV70 (OH)36 (O)64 (SO4 )60 (H2 O)10 ]4- . Ce70 crystallizes into intricate high pore volume frameworks with divalent transition metals and Ce-monomer linkers. Eight crystal-structures feature four framework types in which the Ce70 -rings are linked as propellers, in offset-stacks, in a tartan pattern, and as isolated rings. Small-angle X-ray scattering of Ce70 dissolved in butylamine, with and without added cations (CeIV , alkaline earths, MnII ), shows the metals' differentiating roles in ring linking, leading to supramolecular assemblies. The large acidic pores and abundant terminal sulfates provide ion-exchange behavior, demonstrated with UIV and NdIII . Frameworks featuring CeIII/IV -monomer linkers demonstrate both oxidation and reduction. This study opens the door to mixed-metal, highly porous framework catalysts, and new clusters for metal-organic framework design.

The logistic clinical SYNTAX score (log CSS) is a combined risk scoring system including clinical and anatomic parameters; it has been found to be effective for the prediction of mortality in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) in the primary treatment of acute myocardial infarction is still debated. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the utility of log CSS to stratify the risk of in-hospital mortality in acute STEMI patients undergoing emergent CABG for primary revascularization.

In total, 88 consecutive patients with acute STEMI, who did not qualify for primary percutaneous coronary intervention and required emergent CABG were included in our study. Nine of 88 patients died during hospitalization. The study population was divided into two groups as in-hospital survivors and non-survivors. Log CSS and SYNTAX score (SS) were calculated for both groups and two groups were compared in terms of demographics, preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative characteristics, SS and log CSS.

Log CSS was found to be an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality, log CSS > 10.5 had 89% sensitivity, 81% specificity (area under the curve 0.927; 95% confidence interval 0.855-0.993). Moreover, peak troponin level was an independent predictor of in-hospital mortality. Glucose level, cardiopulmonary resuscitation before operation, glomerular filtration rate, left ventricular ejection fraction, and Killip class were significantly associated with in-hospital mortality.

Log CSS may improve the accuracy of risk assessment in patients who are undergoing emergent CABG for primary revascularization of STEMI.
