Understanding the propagation characteristics of online emergency news communication is of great importance to guiding emergency management and supporting the dissemination of vital information. However, existing methods are limited to the analysis of the dissemination of online information pertaining to a specific disaster event. To study the quantification of the general spreading patterns and unique dynamic evolution of emergency-related information, we build a systematic, comprehensive evaluation framework and apply it to 81 million reposts from Sina Weibo, Chinese largest online microblogging platform, and perform a comparative analysis with four other types of online information (political, social, techs, and entertainment news). We find that the spreading of emergency news generally exhibits a shorter life cycle, a shorter active period, and fewer fluctuations in the aftermath of the peak than other types of news, while propagation is limited to a few steps from the source. Furthermore, compared with other types of news, fewer users tend to repost the same piece of news multiple times, while user influence (which depends on the number of fans) has the least impact on the number of reposts for news of emergencies. These comparative results provide insights that will be useful in the context of disaster relief, emergency management, and other communication path prediction applications.Poor quality and low repeatability of additively manufactured parts are key technological obstacles for the widespread adoption of additive manufacturing (AM). In-situ monitoring and control of the AM process is vital to overcome this problem. This paper describes the combined artificial intelligence and plasma emission spectroscopy to identify the porosity of AM parts during the process. The time- and position-synchronized spectra were collected during the directed energy deposition (DED) manufacturing process of a 7075-Al alloy part. Eighteen features extracted from spectra were coupled with the deposition qualities which were characterized by the 3D X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) scan and used to train a Random Forest (RF) classifier. The well-trained RF classifier achieved up to 83% precision for the porosity recognition of depositions. The feature importance recorded by the RF classifier indicates that the intensities of spectra at the wavelength of 414.234 (Fe I) nm and 396.054 (Al I) nm, and the kurtosis of spectra at wavelength ranges of 484-490 nm and 508-518 nm, are the most effective features for porosity recognition. The physical correlations between spectra, porosity formation, and thermal accumulation during the AM process were analyzed. This study demonstrates the great potentials, as well as challenges of plasma emission spectroscopy for in-situ quality monitoring of laser AM which allows the enhancement of AM technique.A Correction to this paper has been published https//doi.org/10.1038/s42003-020-01447-6 .Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) is known to cause lipid abnormalities such as dyslipidaemia in HIV-infected individuals. Yet, dyslipidaemia may not independently occur as it may be worsened by single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and lipoprotein lipase (LPL). Colforsin solubility dmso This case-control study was conducted in three-selected hospitals in the Northern part of Ghana. The study constituted a total of 118 HIV-infected participants aged 19-71 years, who had been on HAART for 6-24 months. Dyslipidaemia was defined based on the NCEP-ATP III criteria. HIV-infected individuals on HAART with dyslipidaemia were classified as cases while those without dyslipidaemia were grouped as controls. Lipid profile was measured using an automatic clinical chemistry analyzer and genomic DNA was extracted for PCR (GeneAmp PCR System 2700). Overall, the prevalence of dyslipidaemia was 39.0% (46/118). High levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol (TC), awing genetic and/or functional differential diagnosis of dyslipidaemia and creating an opportunity for potentially preventive options. We assess risks posed by oak wilt-a disease caused by the fungal pathogen Bretziella fagacearum. Though not currently found in Canada, our distribution models indicate that suitable climate conditions currently occur in southern Ontario for B. fagacearum and two of its main insect dispersal vectors, Colopterus truncatus and Carpophilus sayi. Climate habitat for these species is projected to expand northward under climate change, with much of the oak range in eastern Canada becoming climatically suitable within the next two decades. Potential costs for the removal and replacement of oak street trees ranged from CDN$266 to $420 million, with variation related to uncertainty in costs, rate of tree replacement, and city-level estimates of oak street tree density. The value of standing oak timber in eastern Canada was estimated at CDN$126 million using provincial stumpage fees and as a CDN$24 million annual contribution to national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) when calculated using a combination of economic and forestry product statistics. These values can help inform the scale of eradication and/or management efforts in the event of future oak wilt introductions. To demonstrate the potential of time-resolved flow cytometry (FCM) for bioanalysis, clinical diagnostics, and optically encoded bead-based assays, we performed a proof-of-principle study to detect biomolecular interactions utilizing fluorescence lifetime (LT)-encoded micron-sized polymer beads bearing target-specific bioligands and a recently developed prototype lifetime flow cytometer (LT-FCM setup). This instrument is equipped with a single excitation light source and different fluorescence detectors, one operated in the photon-counting mode for time-resolved measurements of fluorescence decays and three detectors for conventional intensity measurements in different spectral windows. First, discrimination of bead-bound biomolecules was demonstrated in the time domain exemplarily for two targets, Streptavidin (SAv) and the tumor marker human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). In a second step, the determination of biomolecule concentration levels was addressed representatively for the inflammation-related biomarker tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) utilizing fluorescence intensity measurements in a second channel of the LT-FCM instrument.
