Results show that age (β = 0.351), educational attainment (β = 0.843) and teaching experience (β = 0.169) influence e-learning compliance at p less then 0.05. It was also found that 67.3% compliance with e-learning took place in the Universities compared to 59.1% in the Polytechnics and 52.8% in the Colleges of Education. Regression shows that constraints affected the level of compliance (R2 = 0.73). The study concludes that constraints are major obstacles to the compliance and prospects of e-learning in the Private Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.The human body generates various malodor compounds in different body parts and even in the same parts. A more effective and versatile deodorant material that can suppress various key contributors to the body odor must be developed to improve the quality of life of affected individuals. In this study, activated carbon (AC) was found to have higher adsorption ability toward key body odor-generating compounds than zinc oxide (ZnO), which is a well-known deodorant material. To prevent pigmentation of human skin induced by the direct application of AC, white activated carbon (WAC) was developed by blending AC, titanium dioxide (TiO2), and ammonium acrylate copolymer. AC to TiO2 ratio of 16 was found to be the optimum blending ratio to form WAC. Compared with ZnO, this optimal WAC exhibited higher adsorption ability toward five key body odor compounds. The in vivo evaluation of the sample containing WAC revealed that it significantly suppressed the generation of axillary odor without a bactericidal effect. The developed WAC can effectively suppress the human body odor in different body parts. These findings are valuable for individuals experiencing psychological stress attributed to their unpleasant body odor.In compliance with the socioeconomic theory, the study has strived to investigate the impact of economic and non-economic public policies on tax evasion using panel data of 7 SAARC countries covering the period from 1998 to 2015. The study has applied the ordinary least square with fixed effect and random effect models to analyze the data assembled. The result of the study implies that the higher the degree of economic freedoms, the lower the tax evasion. More specifically, the government policies about property rights, monetary freedom, fiscal freedom and investment freedom have a negative influence on taxpayers' choices of tax evasion while financial freedom result shows a positive effect on tax evasion. Additionally, there is a negative impact of public sector governance and religiosity on tax evasion, which implies the higher the public sector governance and the higher the religious faith amid the people, the lower the degree of tax evasion. The findings of the study are supposed to offer the governments, tax authorities, and research scholars the valuable insights into public policies for reducing the tax evasion to a significant extent.
To investigate the relationship between spiritual well-being (SWB) and happiness in a sample of Iranian healthcare students, considering a culturally-adapted and a context-based measure of SWB.
In this descriptive-correlational study, 343 Muslim students of Qom University of Medical Science are studied from October 2017 to March 2018. Data collection tools were the culturally-adapted spiritual well-being scale (SWBS), the spiritual health questionnaire for the Iranian population (SHQ), and the Persian version of Oxford happiness inventory (OHI).
Total scores of SWBS, SHQ, and OHI were in moderate (68.42 ± 12.76), high (193.74 ± 24.26), and moderate (37.95 ± 14.56) levels, respectively. Happiness had a significant positive correlation with all domains of SWBS and SHQ. Moreover, a significant proportion of happiness was determined by SWBS and SHQ. Also, some domains of SWBS and SHQ showed a significant correlation with age, gender, marital status, and academic major.
There was a significant correlation between happiness and SWB, measured by SWBS and SHQ. Hence, it seems that both SWBS and SHQ are sufficiently sensitive to assess the relationship between happiness and SWB.

According to the cancer stem cell (CSC) hypothesis, the recurrence and chemoresistance are presumed to be linked to cancer stem/progenitor cells. Here, we investigated the CSC-like phenotypes and mechanism of chemoresistance in CDDP resistant ovarian cancer cells. Erlotinib A well-established CDDP sensitive ovarian cancer cell line A2780 and its resistant population A2780-Cp were used. We also developed a supra resistant population (SKOV3-Cp) from a naturally CDDP resistant cell line SKOV3. Both resistant/supra resistant cell lines showed significantly higher self-renewal capability than their parental counterparts. They also showed significant resistance to apoptosis and sub-G1 arrest by CDDP treatment. Stem cell marker ALDH1 positivity rates were higher both in A2780-Cp and SKOV3-Cp cell lines than in their counterparts, quantified by Aldefluor assay kit. Hoechst 33342 dye effluxing side populations were increased up to about five folds in A2780-Cp cells and two folds in SKOV3-Cp cells compared to A2780 and SKOV3 cells, respectively. Among major stemness related genes (POU5F1/OCT4, SOX2, NANOG, NES, BMI1, KLF4 and ALDH1A1), ALDH1A1 and KLF4 were significantly overexpressed in both resistant/supra resistant cells. Silencing ALDH1A1 in A2780 and A2780-Cp cells using siRNA greatly reduced the stem cell population and sensitized cells to CDDP. Moreover, silencing of ALDH1A1 reduced the transcript and protein level of its downstream target NEK-2. We also observed the downregulation of ABC transporters (ABCB1/MDR1, ABCG2 and ABCC1/MRP1) either by ALDH1A1 or NEK-2 silencing and upreguation of ABCB1/MDR1 due to the overexpression of NEK-2. Taken together, the present study suggests that stemness gene ALDH1A1 can be involved in CDDP resistance through the upregulation of NEK-2 in ovarian cancer.
