Slot missions can be a great way to get gear, weapons and more. But they're also difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that allows you to bring pistols in to an operation. Some players use this to help reach certain achievements particularly those who are going for Suit Only. Others simply prefer to have the additional pistol to make an extra weapon to close the gap. When using this slot, it's important to keep in mind that you'll need to click on the corresponding pistol category button, for instance the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select the appropriate category. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider in use makes it much simpler. This combo can also trigger damage from concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it placed in.

Smuggled Item Slot

The smuggled items slot is an excellent feature that allows players to bring tools and weapons, however it could use a better option. It's currently shaped as a pistol, which makes it difficult to distinguish the weapon slot smuggled by smugglers from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot can hold an array of items, from subtle concussion devices, to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in a variety of hidden locations around the map. They can also be retrieved at any time. Smuggled items are distinct from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small items within the scenery or objects directly.

Mission planning is an option available in episodic missions. It lets players unlock various starting locations, smuggled objects, and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. As players progress through challenges and unlock new Mission Mastery levels, these options for planning expand. This lets players plan the ideal task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will find their gear slots quickly fill up, leading to the dreaded "Your Gear Slots are Full" message which prevents Max from selecting new equipment until the old items are cleared or more space is found. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenging missions. However, as many of these challenges are scattered across the world and can be missed, it can take an extended time to obtain the maximum number of inventory slots available in-game.

The five Gear Slots of a player can be filled with up to 5 different types of gear. These must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades that are of the same type) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you store an item that does not fit into your weapon or gear slots and then retrieve it later.

These pickups are especially useful if you need to go through a frisk in the course of the course of your mission or if you're carrying a weapon that might otherwise trigger suspicion. You can only conceal one item at a pickup location.





This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Then, head to the designated marker and locate a mob upon arrival.
