Qishen granules (QSG) is a famous traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula used to treat chronic heart failure (CHF). The objective of this protocol is to clarify the efficacy and safety of QSG for treating CHF.

Six databases will be electronically searched up to November 1, 2020 for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in English and Chinese languages. Two independent reviewers will complete tasks of literature retrieval and data extraction. After that, the Cochrane Collaboration risk of bias tool will be utilized to assess methodological quality. The primary outcomes are left ventricular ejection fraction, left ventricular fractional shortening, and N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide. The secondary outcomes consist of composite cardiac events, adverse effects, and quality of life. Meta-analysis will be performed using the Revman version 5.3.

This study will provide a high-quality synthesis of current evidence of QSG for CHF from primary and secondary outcomes.

This study will provide evidence for the effectiveness and safety of QSG in the treatment of CHF.

Alcohol dependence is one of the biggest problems facing public health worldwide. Currently, it is an under-diagnosed and under-treated disease. Even when given treatments for addiction withdrawal, over 2/3 of patients who have undergone abstinence-oriented treatment will relapse in the first year. Therefore, it is necessary to find an efficacious way to prevent and treat alcohol dependence. ASF (a Compound of Traditional Chinese Medicine) has proven to inhibit the formation and expression of ethanol-induced behavioral sensitization and the development of conditioned place preference in mice. As an empirical prescription for abstinence from alcohol, ASF has long been used in clinical patients. However, the effect of ASF in humans has not yet been investigated. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of ASF for patients with alcohol dependence.

The effect of ASF will be studied in a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial. 82 outpatients and inpatients will be recruited and randomly assigned to treatment with either ASF or placebo for 6 weeks as a complement to cognitive behavioural therapy. The primary endpoints are the changes in the average daily alcohol consumption of the 2 groups before and after treatment and comparison of the scores of the psychological craving self-rating scale during the courses of treatment of 2 groups. The secondary endpoints include abstinence rates of the 2 groups during the follow-up period, days without consumption, and changes of Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) scores in 2 groups before and after therapy.

This study is the first randomized controlled trial to investigate ASF in the treatment of alcohol dependence. ASF is likely to be a new and effective drug for the treatment of alcohol dependence developed from natural products with a low incidence of side effects or toxicity.

Breast-cancer related lymphedema (BCRL) is a common condition among breast cancer survivors that could impact the quality of life (QoL) of patients. Exploring the QoL of the patients with BCRL using valid and reliable QoL is crucial to capture the status of this important aspect hence appropriate intervention could be implement to patient. However, so far no scientific review is available, which reports the psychometric properties of the QoL questionnaires used in BCRL. this website The purpose of this systematic review is to comprehensively assess the psychometric properties of QoL questionnaires in patients with BCRL.

We will perform comprehensive searches of published studies in electronic databases such as Medline (via Ovid), EBSCOhost, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science by using the following search terms "quality of life"; "breast cancer"; "upper limb"; "lymphedema"; "questionnaire"; and "measurement properties." Only full-text articles in English language are included. Two reviewers will independently conduct the article selection, data extraction, and quality assessment. Any possible conflict between the 2 reviewers is going to be solved with the help of a third reviewer. The Consensus-based Standards for the Selection of Health Measurement Instrument (COSMIN) checklist and manual will be used to assess the selected study quality.

This review will provide an updated overview of available lymphedema-specific questionnaires used in BCRL population and then recommend the most valid and reliable QoL questionnaire for clinical and research use in patients with BCRL.

This review may help the clinician and researcher to find an updated overview of various questionnaires used to assess BCRL patients' QoL.

This review will use data from published studies. Therefore, ethical approval is not required prior to this review. The results of this review will be published in a peer-reviewed journal or presented at conferences.

Glioblastoma is an aggressive form of brain cancer with significant morbidity and mortality. This study aims to determine the radiotherapy for treatment of elderly people with diagnosed glioblastoma.

This study adheres to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis for Protocols. Chinese electronic Database (CBM, Wanfang, and CNKI) and international electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science) will be searched for all relevant published articles, with no restrictions on the year of publication or language. Study selection, data collection, and assessment of study bias will be conducted independently by a pair of independent reviewers. The Cochrane Risk of bias (ROB) tool will be used for the risk of bias assessment. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment Development and Evaluation (GRADE) system will be used to assess the quality of evidence. The statistical analysis of this meta-analysis will be calculated by Review manager version 5.3.

The results of this study will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

The findings of this review will to provide high-level evidence in terms of the benefits and harms of radiotherapy in people with glioblastoma to provide meaningful conclusions for clinical practice and further research.
