psychosocial or occupational functional improvements following escitalopram treatment. We recommend the use of more comprehensive functional assessments to determine the impact of cognitive change on functional outcomes in future research.
Cervical cancer is one of the common causes of premature death and disability in women worldwide. It is preventable through vaccination, and screening for precancerous lesions and early treatment. However, screening service uptake and treatment for cervical cancer face significant challenges in low-income countries due to poor information systems. The aim of this study was to assess knowledge of cervical cancer and its determinants among women aged 30-49 years living in Jimma Town, Southwest Ethiopia.
A community-based cross-sectional study was undertaken from March 20 to April 15, 2017. VLS-1488 concentration The data were collected using a structured interviewer-administered questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS version 21. Multivariable logistic regression anaysis was done and variables with a p-value < 0.05 were considered statistically significant.
Of the interviewed women, only 321(43.6%) had adequate knowledge about cervical cancer and screening. Attending secondary school or above (AOR = 2.42, 95% CI 1.24-4.74), using modern contraceptives (AOR = 6.31, 95% CI 2.86-13.89), knowing somebody with cervical cancer (AOR = 2.24, 95% CI 1.35-3.71) and knowing someone screened for cervical cancer (AOR = 2.23, 95% CI 1.30-3.80) were associated with knowledge of cervical cancer.
Knowledge of cervical cancer is low in the current study area even if appropriate knowledge regarding the disease is important in decreasing the incidence and prevalence of cervical cancer through screening and human pappiloma virus vaccination. Increasing awereness regarding the disease and prevention strategies are the key issue.

A process model was created and evaluated for integrating services in 32 outpatient subspecialty clinics. Levels of satisfaction in caregivers (n = 98), physicians (n = 27), and non-physicians (n = 45) were assessed. Most caregivers rated psychology services at the highest level of satisfaction (85%) and would recommend these services to others (100%). Teammates indicated that services should continue in their clinic (85% non-physician; 96% physician) and have improved patient care (71% non-physician; 81% physician). These findings demonstrate positive outcomes associated with the process model and support its utility in integrating psychology services across a health system.
To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the diagnostic accuracy of CT and initial reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for detecting COVID-19 infection.
We searched three databases, PubMed, EMBASE, and EMCARE, to identify studies reporting diagnostic accuracy of both CT and RT-PCR in detecting COVID-19 infection between December 2019 and May 2020. For accurate comparison, only those studies that had patients undergoing both CT and RT-PCR were included. Pooled diagnostic accuracy of both the tests was calculated by using a bivariate random effects model.
Based on inclusion criteria, only 11 studies consisting of 1834 patients were included in the final analysis that reported diagnostic accuracy of both CT and RT-PCR, in the same set of patients. Sensitivity estimates for CT scan ranged from 0.69 to 1.00 and for RT-PCR varied ranging from 0.47 to 1.00. The pooled estimates of sensitivity for CT and RT-PCR were 0.91 [95% CI (0.84-0.97)] and 0.84 [95% CI (0.71-0.94)], respectively. On subgroup analysis, pooled sensitivity of CT and RT-PCR was 0.95 [95% CI (0.88-0.98)] and 0.91 [95% CI (0.80-0.96),
= o.ooo1]. The pooled specificity of CT and RT-PCR was 0.31 [95% CI (0.035-0.84)] and 1.00 [95% CI (0.96-1.00)].
CT is more sensitive than RT-PCR in detecting COVID-19 infection, but has a very low specificity.
Since the results of a CT scan are available quickly, it can be used as an adjunctive initial diagnostic test for patients with a history of positive contact or epidemiological history.

Given the increased contact from families living in virtual confinement coupled with massive economic disarray, the Covid-19 pandemic may have created the ideal conditions to witness a rise in children's experience of abuse and neglect. Yet such a rise will be difficult to calculate given the drop in official mechanisms to track its incidence. The current investigation utilized two studies conducted early in the pandemic to evaluate maltreatment risk. In the first cross-sectional study, parents (n = 405) reported increased physical and verbal conflict and neglect which were associated with their perceived stress and loneliness. In the second study, parents (n = 106) enrolled in a longitudinal study reported increased parent-child conflict, which was associated with concurrent child abuse risk, with several links to employment loss, food insecurity, and loneliness; findings also demonstrated increases in abuse risk and psychological aggression relative to pre-pandemic levels. Findings are discussed in the context of a reactive welfare system rather than a pro-active public-health oriented approach to child maltreatment, connecting with families through multiple avenues. Innovative approaches will be needed to reach children faced with maltreatment to gauge its scope and impact in the pandemic's aftermath.
