In our experiment Bonn University single-channel intracranial electroencephalogram (iEEG) and Children's Hospital Boston-Massachusetts Institute of Technology (CHB-MIT) multichannel scalp EEG (sEEG) recordings are considered to evaluate the efficacy of the proposed method. The VMD is applied on chaotic, non-stationary, nonlinear, and complex EEG signal to decompose it into three band-limited intrinsic mode functions (BLIMFs). The Hilbert transform (HT) is applied on BLIMFs to extract informative spectral and temporal features. The ApEn is computed from the raw EEG signals as the privileged information and given to the multi-hidden layer structure to obtain the most discriminative compressed flity, robustness, and practicability of the proposed method validate its ability to recognize the epileptic seizure epochs automatically.In healthcare, most accidents occur as a result of inadequate interactions between system components rather than component failures. In such cases traditional risk analysis methods are of limited use for analysing system safety, so methods such as Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) and the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) have been developed. This study uses STPA to assess risks in the sepsis treatment process, discusses the potential value STPA adds and compares the results of STPA with the results of another study that used FRAM. The findings indicate that STPA and FRAM have different strengths which reflect the different scientific approaches behind these two methods. FRAM facilitates an in-depth understanding of a system, while STPA allows for more comprehensive risk analysis by identifying more risks, scenarios and safety recommendations. Nevertheless, it is reasonable to say that not only does STPA provide more comprehensive risk analysis; its terminology and philosophy are also closer to the current safety management applications employed in complex systems.

This study investigated the mechanisms through which 919 syrup improved anorexia induced by postpartum stress, focussing on the combined peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) and leptin signalling pathway, and its effects on the structure of the gut flora.

Mice were randomly divided into five groups-control group, immobilisation stressed (IS) group (normal saline), pioglitazone (Piog; western medicine control) group, 919 syrup low-dose (TJD; 13.5g/kg) group, and 919 syrup high-dose (TJG; 27.0g/kg) group. The control group was housed normally. The other groups received IS for 3h daily for 21 days. The treatments were initiated following the first postnatal day and were administered by gastric gavage. All mice were sacrificed under anaesthesia on postnatal day 22.
