The effects of social media and living situation were tested through multi-group analysis (PLS-MGA). RESULTS Cyberchondria and information overload had a significant impact on individuals' threat and coping perceptions, and through them on self-isolation intention. Among the appraisal constructs, perceived severity (P=0.002) and self-efficacy (P=0.003) positively impacted self-isolation intention while response cost (P0.05). CONCLUSIONS During COVID-19, frequent use of social media contributed to information overload and over concern among individuals. In addition, to boost individuals' motivation to adopt preventive measures such as self-isolation, actions should focus on lowering individuals' perceived response costs in addition to informing them about the severity of the situation. CLINICALTRIALThe need for e-mental health (electronic mental health) services in Canada is significant. The current mental health care delivery models primarily require people to access services in person with a health professional. Given the large number of people requiring mental health care in Canada, this model of care delivery is not sufficient in its current form. E-mental health technologies may offer an important solution to the problem. This topic was discussed in greater depth at the 9th Annual Canadian E-Mental Health Conference held in Toronto, Canada. Despite that several biological studies have been carried out on this pathogen, the production of secondary metabolites has not yet been investigated. Thus, a strain of C. lupini, obtained from symptomatic stems of L. albus, has been grown in vitro to evaluate its ability to produce bioactive compounds. From its culture filtrates, a 3-substituted indolinone, named lupindolinone, and a 5,6-disubstituted tetrahydro-α-pyrone, named lupinlactone, were isolated together with the known (3R)-mevalonolactone and tyrosol. Lupindolinone and lupinlactone were characterized as 3-ethylindolin-2-one and 5-hydroxy-6-methyltetrahydropyran-2-one by spectroscopic methods (essentially nuclear magnetic resonance [NMR] and high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry [HR ESI-MS]). The R absolute configuration (AC) at C-5 of lupinlactone was determined by applying the modified Mosher's method. Thus, considering its relative stereochemistry assigned by NMR spectroscopy, the AC of lupinlactone could be formulated as 5R,6S. Lupindolinone was isolated as racemic mixture as shown by investigation using chiroptical methods. The metabolites were assayed in different biological tests and proved to have some activities at the used concentration.We evaluated sporangium and zoospore production by three isolates of Phytophthora ramorum on Rhododendron 'Cunningham's White' leaves under light and dark conditions at both variable and constant (14 C) temperature. P. ramorum-infected leaves were detached and placed in funnels inside of a 62-L plastic storage container located in a growth chamber. Cool mist was introduced to the container to create a high-humidity environment. Sporangia and zoospores were collected over a 4-day period by misting leaves with 5 mL of distilled water, which was collected in conical test tubes that also contained runoff from the misting. Spores were collected daily just before a 13-h light period and again just before an 11-h dark period. Sporangia and zoospores in the collection tubes were counted using a dissecting microscope following staining with lactoglycerin/aniline blue. Large differences in sporangium and zoospore numbers observed for the dark versus light periods were observed on days 2, 3, and 4. Using the PRISMA guidelines, electronic databases were searched to identify original research articles of all study design types for inclusion. Of the 424 articles screened, 10 met inclusion criteria. Most studies compared urine color to either urinary specific gravity or urine osmolality, and reported significant associations (r) ranging from 0.40 to 0.93. Altogether, 165 children aged 1-14 years who met the WHO criteria for probable dengue were assessed and treated. Clinical features, presence of warning signs and signs of severe dengue, date of onset, management and outcome were recorded. Blood specimens were collected for serological testing and full blood count.Results The median age was 6 years (interquartile range 3-8). Eighty-eight (53%) children had no warning signs and were managed as outpatients. Of the 165 patients, 42 (25%) had abdominal pain, 28 (17%) had bleeding and 3 (2%) had clinical evidence of fluid accumulation. The median (IQR) lowest platelet count in those tested was 34 × 109/L (22-54). Two children were transfused with packed red blood cells and one received a platelet transfusion. No child developed dengue shock and none died. METHODS A total of 12,123 5-year survivors diagnosed between 1970 and 1999 (median [range] age at diagnosis, 7 [0-21] years, time since diagnosis at baseline, 16 [6-30] years) and 720 siblings self-reported PA and neurocognitive problems. PA was collected at baseline, and PA and neurocognitive data were obtained 7 (1-12) years and 12 (9-14) years later. PA consistency was defined as any combination of ≥ 75 minutes of vigorous or 150 minutes of moderate activity per week on all surveys. Multiple linear regressions, conducted separately for CNS and non-CNS survivors, identified associations between PA consistency and neurocognitive outcomes (expected mean, 50; standard deviation [SD], 10). Mediating effects of body mass index (BMI) and chronic health conditions (CHCs) were evaluated. RESULTS Dietary surveys were available for analysis from 614 (77%), and 561 (71%) participants at diagnosis and at end of induction, respectively.
