Physical activity guidelines for adults with disability, chronic conditions, and pregnancy (i.e., specific populations) have been developed to provide guidance for engaging in physical activity. However, specific populations remain considerably less physically active compared to the general population, presenting a knowledge-practice gap.
The purpose of this systematic scoping review was to identify and evaluate strategies for disseminating and implementing physical activity guidelines among specific populations and/or stakeholders (e.g., healthcare professionals) in Canada.
Five search approaches (peer-reviewed literature databases, grey literature database, custom Google search engines, targeted web-based searches, and content expert consultation) identified records documenting and/or evaluating strategies that had been used to disseminate or implement guidelines from a predetermined list. Systematic and scoping review protocols were followed. Risk of bias assessments were conducted for all studies that evaluated strategies.
Eighty-one records reported dissemination strategies (n = 42), implementation strategies (n = 28), or both (n = 11). Twenty-two studies reporting on 29 evaluated strategies were deemed "serious" or "high" risk of bias. Common guideline dissemination and implementation strategies are deliberated and recommendations for future practice are made.

Alveolar echinococcosis is a zoonotic disease that mostly affects the liver, with vascular invasion and a protean clinical symptom. However, no reports of sympathetic nerve infiltration in hepatic alveolar echinococcosis have been reported. Here, we report a case of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis in a 33-year-old man. In this end-stage case, the lesion was heavily involved in the large vessels and biliary tract, and immunohistochemistry also incidentally revealed extensive nerve infiltration in the specimens after surgical treatment. Subsequently, neural classification was identified.
We herein report a case of advanced hepatic alveolar echinococcosis with macrovascular invasion and sympathetic nerve infiltration. In this case, inferior vena cava (IVC), the portal vein and bile duct were infiltrated. Ultimately, according to our experience, ex vivo liver resection and autotransplantation (ELRA) was the optimal treatment way to perform for this unresectable patient. Samples were collected from normal liver tissue, junction tissue and the lesion. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to confirm the diagnosis. Neural infiltration was observed by immunohistochemical staining with protein gene product 9.5 (PGP9.5). Fluorescence colocalization was determined with PGP9.5 and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH). These results suggest that a large amount of sympathetic nerve infiltration occurred at the junction.

The spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has increasingly agonized daily lives worldwide. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia has various physical and social environments, which implies that each region has a different response to the pandemic. This study aims to analyze the spatial differentiation of COVID-19 in Indonesia and its interactions with socioenvironmental factors.
The socioenvironmental factors include seven variables, namely, the internet development index, literacy index, average temperature, urban index, poverty rate, population density (PD) and commuter worker (CW) rate. The multiple linear regression (MLR) and geographically weighted regression (GWR) models are used to analyze the impact of the socioenvironmental factors on COVID-19 cases. COVID-19 data is obtained from the Indonesian Ministry of Health until November 30th 2020.
Results show that the COVID-19 cases in Indonesia are concentrated in Java, which is a densely populated area with high urbanization and industrialization. The other provinces with numerous confirmed COVID-19 cases include South Sulawesi, Bali, and North Sumatra. This study shows that the socioenvironmental factors, simultaneously, influence the increasing of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the 34 provinces of Indonesia. Spatial interactions between the variables in the GWR model are relatively better than those between the variables in the MLR model. The highest spatial tendency is observed outside Java, such as in East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and Bali.

Obstetric infections are the third most common cause of maternal mortality, withthe largest burden in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). We analyzed causes of infection-related maternal deaths and near-missidentified contributing factors and generated suggested actions for quality of care improvement.
An international, virtual confidential enquiry was conducted for maternal deaths and near-miss cases that occurred in 15 health facilities in 11 LMICs reporting at least one death within the GLOSS study. Facility medical records and local review committee documents containing information on maternal characteristics, timing and chain of events, case management, outcomes, and facility characteristics were summarized into a case report for each woman and reviewed by an international external review committee. Modifiable factors were identified and suggested actions were organized using the three delays framework.

Prompt recognition and treatment of the infection remain critical addressable gaps in the provision of high-quality care to prevent and manage infection-related severe maternal outcomes in LMICs. Grain yield is a complex trait that results from interaction between underlying phenotypic traits and climatic, edaphic, and biotic variables. In rice, main culm panicle node number (MCPNN; the node number on which the panicle is borne) and maximum node production rate (MNPR; the number of leaves that emerge per degree-day > 10°C) are primary phenotypic plant traits that have significant positive direct effects on yield-related traits. Degree-days to heading (DDTH), which has a significant positive effect on grain yield, is influenced by the interaction between MCPNN and MNPR. The objective of this research is to assess the phenotypic variation of MCPNN, MNPR, and DDTH in a panel of diverse rice accessions, determine regions in the rice genome associated with these traits using genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and identify putative candidate genes that control these traits.
Considerable variation was observed for the three traits in a 220-genotype diverse rice population. MCPNN ranged from 8.1 ttion of the putative candidate genes through expression and gene editing analyses are necessary to confirm their roles in regulating MCPNN, MNPR, and DDTH. Identifying the underlying genetic basis for primary phenotypic traits MCPNN and MNPR could lead to the development of fast and efficient approaches for their estimation, such as marker-assisted selection and gene editing, which is essential in increasing breeding efficiency and enhancing grain yield in rice. On the other hand, DDTH is a resultant variable that is highly affected by nitrogen and water management, plant density, and several other factors.
To compare the quantitative and qualitative optical outcomes of single-step transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy (TPRK) and off-flap epipolis-laser in situ keratomileusis (Epi-LASIK) in moderate to high myopia.
In this prospective self-control study, we included patients with moderate to high myopia who were randomized to undergo TPRK in one eye and Epi-LASIK in the other eye. Twelve-month follow-up results for visual acuity, refraction, ocular high-order aberrations, contrast sensitivity, postoperative pain, epithelial healing, and haze grade were assessed.
A total of 64 eyes (32 patients) were enrolled in the study. More eyes completed re-epithelialization in the TPRK group than in the Off-flap Epi-LASIK group 3-4 days postoperatively, while all eyes completed re-epithelialization by 7 days. More eyes achieved a visual acuity (both UDVA and CDVA) of better than 20/20 in the TPRK group than in the Off-flap Epi-LASIK group. P5091 The ±0.50 D predictability for correction of the spherical equivalent (SE) was higher in the eyes of the TPRK group (91%) than in those of the off-flap Epi-LASIK group (80%) 12 months after surgery. No significant differences in ocular aberrations, including coma, spherical, and trefoil, were found between the two groups at 12 months. There were also no significant differences in visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, pain, and haze grading between the two groups.
Both TPRK and off-flap Epi-LASIK are safe, effective, and predictable treatments for moderate to high myopia with comparable surgical outcomes.

ACE gene contains a number of functional polymorphisms which modulate activity of the encoded protein. In the current case-control study, we appraised the association between the rs4359 and rs1799752 polymorphisms and risk of bipolar disorder (type I and type II; BPDI and BPDII), schizophrenia (SCZ) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The rs4359 was associated with risk of OCD, BPDI and BPDII in co-dominant and dominant models. The rs1799752 was associated with all assessed psychiatric conditions in four inheritance models except for BPDII whose association was not significant in recessive model. The I allele of rs1799752 was associated with OCD (adjusted FDR q-Value = 4.04E-04), SCZ (adjusted FDR q-Value = 6.00E-06), BPDI (adjusted FDR q-Value = 8.40E-03) and BPDII (adjusted FDR q-Value = 6.00E-06). The effective T allele of rs4359 showed a significant association with disease risk for BPDII group.
