- A bar manageress accidentally killed herself after taking a lethal overdose of prescription painkillers for her bad back.
Donna Spiby, 42, had been already been given various medicines by her GP but acquired the powerful painkiller Subutex through friends to treat her severe aches and pains.
The morphine based drug, which is sometimes used as a substitute for heroin, left Miss Spiby so incapacitated her family said it was 'like a light switch went out' if she sat down on a sofa.

Last April 28, Miss Spiby, from Chorley, Lancashire, was found dead in bed by her partner as he brought her a cup of tea.
Tests showed traces of tramadol, diazepam and morphine in her system with the last drug at fatally toxic levels.
An inquest in Preston heard Miss Spiby formerly of Salford, Manchester had a long history of lower back pain which spread to her legs.

She was prescribed Tramadol then later Gabapenti as well as the anti-depressant Mirtazapine.
Her partner Kevin Haplin said in a statement: 'In the lead up to her death, she had been complaining about pain in her head - like a bad headache.
She was imagining things and struggling to differentiate between dreams and real life.
'On April 28, we all went to bed at about 11.15pm. She seemed very scatty and appeared drunk but she hadn't had any alcohol - I put that down to her medication. She was having difficulty distinguishing between reality and dream - she was detached from reality.

She knew that she was on medication but not how much or how often she took it.
'She went upstairs and it took a while for her to get into bed, but she fell asleep straight away when she got in. She was a heavy breather and Online Pharmacy Valium a loud snorer so I knew when she was asleep.
'I got out of bed the following day and she was still snoring.

I went downstairs and then came back up about 40 minutes later with a cup of tea and there was no response from her. She was pale and no longer snoring.
'I tried to wake her up and then I called 999 and they advised me to give her CPR until the ambulance arrived.
They came and declared that she had passed away. Donna was receiving tablets from friends. I knew she was taking tablets and she would need to take tramadol tablets to get her to bed.
'She made no comments about self-harm to me. She would not have taken her own life - we had a future together.'

Miss Spiby's mother Jean Roach, added: 'She was never right after she was given those Subutex. I was told that it is what you take when you are on heroin to get off it. As soon as she sat down, it was like a light switch went out.'
Miss Spiby's GP Dr Tomas Ko of the Adlington Medical Centre in Lancashire said: 'She registered with our practice in February of this year.
'When I first saw her, she complained particularly of anxiety, feeling upset and a long history of lower back pain that radiated to her legs.

I think that because she complained of pain very frequently, that would impact on her mental health and worsen her depression.
'The plan that had been agreed was that she would undergo a series of physiotherapy. She had an MRI scan that showed wear and tear in her lower back.

We wanted to refer her to a pain clinic but we didn't get to that stage.
'She was prescribed tramadol. It is a type of opioid, so it's in the morphine family and it's a moderately strong pain killer - one of the stronger ones.

The only step above that in pain relief is to give someone liquid morphine.
'Looking at the frequency that she was requesting tramadol, she was using the recommended limit at least. 
'If she would come in appearing stressed or in tears, there was normally an external trigger, something that happened in her personal life.
She was taking an anti-depressant called Mirtazapine. 
'I prescribed her with Gabapentin. The reason for this was because she was at the top level of tramadol and we couldn't go any higher without moving her onto a stronger morphine medication.'
When asked about Subutex, Dr Ko added: 'Subutex is another type of opioid.

It is used for pain control and also to help people with an addiction to opioids get off it. But she never mentioned Subutex to me.'

Pathologist Dr Mark Pitt who carried out a post mortem said: 'The findings showed traces of tramadol, diazepam and some morphine in her system with the levels of morphine in the fatal range. 
'There was blood concentrations of tramadol which was higher than usual for therapy.

The concentrations of diazepam was in the therapeutic range so unlikely to have caused her death.
'She died as a result of combined morphine and tramadol toxicity. The combination of the two can cause respiratory problems.'
Police found no evidence of third party involvement.
Recording a conclusion of death by misadventure coroner, James Newman, said: Buy Valium Pills Online 'Donna had a long and documented history of medical pain and had been prescribed strong painkillers.

'She would sometimes obtain tablets from friends to help her get through her pain. It was around Christmas time when she obtained the Subutex and this really affected her.
On April 29, she went to bed shortly after 11pm and she fell asleep very quickly. Unfortunately she passed away the next morning. She had a high level of morphine and tramadol in her system and sadly slipped into a coma and passed away.
'Her death was an unintentional overdose of prescribed and non-prescribed medication.'
