Is there an advantage to taking the Cruise Line Shuttle? It does seem cheaper to seek an alternate form of transport (uber, cab, etc.) from the airport - especially if you are in a group larger than one.youtube.com But, we've only cruised Disney and there was definite advantage to using the Disney shuttle as it sped up the embarkation process in the port.youtube.com Is that true for RC too? No joke. They are like the next group after the upper tier rewards get off. Usually like within the first hour. Do follow cruise lines recommendation of allowing X hrs after getting back in port to the plane’s departure just in case the ship hits some bad weather, or any other. It is there for a reason.

I live in Colorado and my wife and I believe that the cruise lines AND the airlines have gotten together and try to make sure you have to arrive 1 day before the ship leaves. ’t arrive with you. We have done a lot of cruise ships and so far have always arrived 1 day before..just to avoid running around hectic. Allows you to tour the city, be less hectic getting to the port, and maybe find a good restaurant for dinner. Also for those that don’t know, Labadee is RCCL own private island so I wouldn’t worry about the travel restrictions from the US. When u go to a RCCL private island, it just that..private.

Also do show the St Marten people some support. Hurricane Hugo ( if i remember correctly) did some damage to the island. We haven’t been back yet (doing Hawaii and mediteraen Trips next). That airport is quite some distance away from the port -ie walking to it is out of the question! Shows - yes they do fill up fast. Get them out of the way early since you guys do cruise for 2 days. You can usually book them a few months out on the RCCL page. Dinner - do try to get a table with some other folks. You would be amazed about what they did, even maybe tell you a thing or 2 that u didn’t know existed on the ship. Also a tip (for those that have read so far) - yes you can order more than 1 item off the menu (even on the 2nd formal dress dinner!!) So be adventurous. Take lots of pictures and Have fun folks! And do keep your phones and tablets in airplane mode during the WHOLE cruise. Yes airline mood does work when u get WiFi. Otherwise you will see a very big bill from your carrier!

If you're under 30 get whatever is in your system out, if you want to travel do that for a year, if you've always wanted to be musician work at a bar and play at the weekend for a year. If you go to college I reccomend have a year like that before and after you study. Then pick a job that suits your aptitudes and interests. Jobs for life aren't the norm anymore so dont worry if it's not something you want to do for life.youtube.com This job will probably teach you about what you want or dont want to do a lot more than sitting around and trying to figure it out. It's a balance between career planning and getting out there to experience the world and new things. You could visit somewhere travelling and decide you want to set up a business or teach surfing. You could decide you want to earn enough to pay for 2 holidays a year there but dont want to live there. Then in jobs you'll also learn what you do or do not want, my advice when you're on the career ladder is to keep upskilling and become socialised in something - become the go to person in something.

With the property market soaring, a carpenter has insisted he may have found the answer to Australia's housing crisis. Mark Atkins, from Sydney, has been running his own business - Van Go Fit Outs - where he transforms old buses and vans into permanent homes on wheels. The 28-year-old - who works out of his workshop in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches - said a growing number of people are turning to him for refurbished vehicles in a bid to save money for a home deposit. The humble homes come complete with water tanks, power, supplemented with solar panels, toilets, bathrooms, kitchens and a bedroom. 600 on rent that you don't actually own,' Mr Atkins told the Today show.

The idea to launch his own company sprung into mind after he converted his own van into a living space so he could go away on weekends to surf. Share 187 shares 'I was a tradie and I had a van full of tools.youtube.com I needed to have the surfboards for full weekend adventures so I decked out mine to go up and down the coast,' he said. I'd be in my wetsuit going surfing and people would stop me half way on my tracks and the surf will be good - but I would be taking them on tour around my van. After about eight months of that, I decided to start a little company.

Depending on what people are into. We get the client's vision, we sit down with them and we draw it out, put pen to paper and bring it to life - and build their dream,' he said. He said the refurbished vehicles were perfect for families who wanted to save money while travelling around Australia. Why not buy a vehicle that suits your needs? And go around the country and save money while you're doing it - it's a win-win I reckon,' Mr Atkins said. Australia is your backyard so you can pretty much go and live and enjoy the whole of the country. Why not enjoy the coastline, the city or the country? Speaking to Domain, Mr Atkins said he couldn't keep up with demand - and now he's doing fit-outs full-time. I'm not getting much sleep at all. There are so many people who now want to save money by living in vans, I can't keep up,' he said.

Lucie Donlan and new girl Arabella Chi ended up sharing a bed together on Thursday night's episode. And Love Island reject Charlie Frederick was left flabbergasted as he watched his two exes become friends and bond over their strange connection - despite claiming he had been 'completely mugged off' by Arabella before she entered the villa. Charlie also uploaded a post that read: 'I don't trust words anymore. I only trust actions. Share On the latest episode, viewers saw Lucie mention to Arabella that she was her 'ex's ex', but the model replied: 'Well, not ex. Upset: Charlie also shared a post that read: 'I don't trust words anymore.

I only trust actions. Charlie made the explosive claim he was still dating Arabella just hours before she makes her dramatic entrance in the Mallorcan villa.youtube.com He alleged they were still romantically attached as recently as June 12th, with Arabella giving him no indication that their relationship was over, or that she had signed up for the show. Taking to Instagram on Thursday afternoon, he wrote: 'Right so this is an absolute madness for me. Finding out that a person I'm seeing on a serious level has just strolled into the villa completely disregarding my feelings and our relationship or what we had. The Plymouth based model also claimed the brunette had lied to him by insisting her absence related to a modelling job when in fact she had signed up for a stint on Love Island.

Sharing a second post, Charlie revealed the promised screen shots would be an alleged text exchange shared by the pair just two weeks before she flew to Mallorca. Every relationship has its ups and downs but these next screen shots are all within the last 2 weeks. In one of two screen shots which have since been removed from social media, the sender appears to apologise while reflecting on a recent argument with Charlie. I’m angry at myself as I know I lost a good one then,' (sic) it reads. In a second, dated June 12, Charlie is asked when he is coming over for a late night takeaway.

I do need you in my life. That’s why I can’t go longer than a day without messaging you,' it reads. What time are you going to come over? As we are going to order pizza. She has been seeing him since March and he had no idea what she was doing - she has lead him along the whole time as she would have found out in May that she had been selected. The model was confirmed as the show's latest arrival during Wednesday's installment of the popular reality show, with her arrival set to air on Thursday night. But Charlie, who made a brief appearance on Love Island in 2018, admits he's fuming with her decision to follow in his footsteps after former fling Lucie Donlan also signed up for the show.

The hunky Plymouth based model also lashed out at his ex on Instagram, writing beneath a picture of the blonde in which she confirmed her imminent appearance: 'SECRETS OUT YEAH! On Wednesday's installment of Love Island, model Arabella introduced herself to viewers in a video tape, expressing her interest in Michael Griffiths and Danny Williams. The stunning blonde admitted she isn't afraid to ruffle feathers as she will come face-to-face with Charlie's other ex, surfer Lucie, on Thursday's upcoming episode. Talking about how far she is prepared to go to get the man she wants, Arabella affirmed she was not afraid to tread on the girls' toes.

She said: 'It's the nature of the show that you have to tread on toes. I'm not going to go for the single guys because they're not for me. The Londoner also predicted that she will be the 'joker' of the villa. Making an entrance: She said: 'It's the nature of the show that you have to tread on toes. I bring a fun element, there's no one in there that is the joker,' she said. As well as her claim to fame being Charlie's ex, Arabella has also starred in Justice League and Wonderwoman with Jason Mamoa, who she admitted is her celebrity crush. Reminiscing, she said: 'We had to train with him.

I was an Amazonian. Fun: The Londoner predicted that she will be the 'joker' of the villa. I bring a fun element, there's no one in there that is the joker,' she said. Arabella insisted she will be loyal to her partners on the show. If I've coupled up, it means I know what I want,' she said. Yes I have cheated and been cheated on. I've only ever been loyal in one relationship which was my last relationship. In that relationship I would never look anywhere else. It all comes down to respect. While Charlie is less than impressed about her arrival, blonde surfer Lucie claimed it was a ‘shame’ that her romance with the model ‘fizzled’ out as she detailed their meeting and the month they shared together travelling Portugal. Lucie, who hails from Newquay, revealed the attraction was instant for her as she recalled their first meeting.

Speaking before entering the villa, she said: ‘I kind of fancied him, he was one of the guys in the villa who was blonde and a bit more of a lad. The model also revealed that things quickly heated up between the pair and she soon met his family and they began planning holidays together. She said: ‘We went away for a whole month together. Their short-lived romance was cut short by Charlie who has since claimed that Lucie was ‘too immature’ for him. Detailing the status of their relationship now, Lucie said: ‘I guess so. If I see him, I’ll speak to him but it kind of fizzled out because he lived where he lived and I live where I live. We had some really nice times together so it’s a shame that it ended really. Charlie has since warned the male islanders off his ‘fame-hungry’ ex during an exclusive interview with MailOnline, conducted shortly after the show got underway. I hope she’s going in there with the right intentions.

It's funny you say that I feel the same going the other way. I refuse to use AirBnB when I travel because the one time I did it felt like I was interviewing to couch surf at someone's house. It was just awkward all around. Lady we stayed with in London one time randomly cancelled our stay 2 days in to 3 days because she had friends coming over. We had to scramble and ended up booking a [https://swellbali.com/our-place/ Bingin Hotel] anyway. Sure it might save some money if it all works out, but I'd rather just check in at a hotel, have a room to myself, check out when I leave, and avoid all contact from start to finish. My ex only ever wanted to book at airbnb because she was cheap, she hated paying for a hotel.

I fall off the perch. Brisbane to Alice Springs looks good. Typing this in Bali looking at the surf. ADV riding with no ATGATT at all. See Aussies on scooters with no lid and their birds on the back, lidless too and wearing what I assume are kevlar bikinis. Wilpena Pound sounds good. How about a dart at the map in the mancave and see what I hit. Knowing my luck, probably SWMBO's BMW! Yeah, I had full intention to ride in Bali last year, but just too old for the cut and thrust, absolute nuts! Get up to Kintamani if you get a chance!

Beautiful Bali is, without doubt, the 'land of the Gods'. Temples as old as time, are located in just about every nook and corner of the country, discovering these are the simple pleasures of life. This is one of the country's most famous landmarks and often featured in postcards, representing the country. It is located off-shore on a rocky outcrop that is constantly bombarded by crashing waves. It is found in the village of Beraban in the Tabanan district and is 20kms northwest of popular resort Kuta. This is a not to be missed site that is often on the agenda of all tours. Better known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu, the Uluwatu Temple is one of the six key temples, including the former Tanah Lot, established to guard the country; these are considered Bali's spiritual pillars.

Located just 17 minutes from Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort, the shrine sits at the summit of a 70 metre high sea cliff. Here too one is treated to spectacular sunsets. You are treated to daily Kecak dances that take place every evening, while the culture and traditional Balinese architecture there is a fine treat to observe. Intricate sculptures and a sense of ancient marvel make this one of the most fascinating temples in the country, besides; it's quite easy to reach from a well-located boutique resort in Bali. The name 'ulu' is defined as 'top' while 'watu' translates to 'stone' in local dialect.

The place is a historian's marvel too, as megalithic remains that date back to the 10th century have been found there. At the back of the temple is a small forest, inhabited by hundreds of monkeys; considered sacred in Bali, and believed to guard the temple from bad effects. The winding pathway at the summit of the cliff is fenced in with many spots offering scenic views of the Indian Ocean. The temple is a must visit, when you are not hitting the surf in Uluwatu, famous for its excellent breaks. Don't forget the cameras folks! Goa Gajah above all else is a marvellous architectural site that, contrary to popular belief is not an elephant sanctuary. It is situated on the west side of Bedulu Village and is only 6kms from Ubud; the cultural capital of Bali.

The place is a historian's dream come true, from the relic full inner courtyard to fountains and bathing pools centred around a meditation centre. Goa Gajah has its roots in the 11th century when it was established as a meditation centre. The place is home to a number of ancient stone statues, while a 1954 excavation of the pool, unearthed seven statues of Hindu angels, carved to act as water spouts. Although many of the relics dating far back as the 10 century have a strong Hindu influence, there are a few Buddhist relics that are placed as being from the 8th century.

A marvellous dose of culture and history await you at Goa Gajah. This is an iconic temple most noted for its picture perfect location. The temple sits on the western banks of the Beratan Lake in the Bedugal district of Central Bali. This area is favoured by locals as well, for its cooler climate, and central highland type environs. It is well placed, central to the north and east districts of the country. The temple is lauded for its beautiful settings, highlighted more by the mirror effect of the shrine glistening on the smooth surface of Beratan Lake. This reflection offers the illusion of a floating temple. Examples of traditional Balinese architecture and a history that dates back to the Mengwi Kingdom, makes this shrine, a top site and must visit when checking out Bali's best temples.

A sweeping beach on a tiny island off the coast of Brazil has been named as the best in the world by TripAdvisor. Baia do Sancho, on the isle of Fernando de Noronha, came out on top of the Travellers' Choice Beach awards for 2019 beating competition from sandy spots including Kelingking Beach in Bali and Mexico's Playa Norte. For a second year in a row, the top-rated beach in the UK is Bournemouth beach, while the number one in the U.S. Clearwater Beach in Florida and Manly Beach is deemed to be the hottest haunt in Australia. Taking the crown for the best sand coastline in Europe is the crescent-shaped La Concha Beach in San Sebastian, Spain. TripAdvisor announces the Travellers' Choice beach awards every year and they are based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings gathered over a 12-month period.

Baia do Sancho, on the isle of Fernando de Noronha, was named the best beach in the world by TripAdvisor in 2017 but it slipped to second place last year. Varadero Beach is one of Cuba's most well-known beaches and it climbed up one place to number two in this year's list. It is on the fringe of a bustling resort town and the coastline is peppered with hotels that were built in the 1920s by American celebrities and gangsters, including Al Capone. One favourable review of Varadero Beach on TripAdvisor says: 'A two hour scenic drive from Havana will take you to heavenly Varadero where you can enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean in a quieter more pristine setting.
