The upgrade of an item allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading because of their unique stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.

Weapons

Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their stats. This can boost the defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it may reduce its value.

The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will get when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% difference does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect to the status of your account.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to curses, poison fire, magic, and other. This makes it easier to navigate difficult terrains. In general, the more defense you have on your character, the more health you'll receive from each point. Therefore, upgrade item 's a good idea to upgrade your armor.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. You can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the previous trinket but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players which makes them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade players should take into account the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
