Within the provision of education, teachers typically have the closest contact and play a key role in meeting the needs of refugee children through effective communication to achieve culturally qualified education and the provision of more humanistic approach. This descriptive cross-sectional design study is aimed to explore the relationships among psychological resilience, intercultural sensitivity and empathetic tendency in teachers of Syrian refugee children in Turkey. Data were collected from 367 teachers of Syrian refugee children. Teachers of Syrian refugee children who participated in the study had a high level of psychological resilience, moderate level of empathic tendencies and a high level of intercultural sensitivity. Statistically significant relationships were found among study variables. The data reveal that there is a relationship among psychological resilience, intercultural sensitivity and empathetic tendency among teachers of Syrian refugee children in Turkey. Furthermore, regression analysis revealed that psychological resilience significantly supports intercultural sensitivity and empathic tendencies.The assemblage of root-associated microorganisms plays important roles in improving their capability to adapt to environmental stress. IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE This review highlights the value of a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and staging of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and makes practical suggestions as to how multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) can be best deployed at individual stages of the disease to improve patient outcomes and effectively manage common adverse events. The authors discuss how a collaborative approach, appropriately leveraging the diverse expertise of NSCLC MDT members (including specialist radiation and medical oncologists, chest physicians, pathologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, and nursing staff) can continue to ensure optimal per-patient decision making as treatment options become ever more specialized in the era of biomarker-driven therapeutic strategies.

Women with viable singleton pregnancies confirmed by ultrasonography at less than 14weeks of amenorrhoea at first visit.

In all, 926 subjects were recruited for this study in the outpatient specialist clinics at KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore, between 1 September 2010 and 31 August 2014. They were followed up throughout pregnancy with sleep quality, blood pressure and uterine artery Doppler assessed at each visit.

Sleep progressively worsened as pregnancy advanced. Shorter sleep duration and poorer sleep efficiency were associated with higher blood pressure, especially in the first trimester. Mixed model analysis demonstrated an overall positive association between sleep quality represented by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (P<0.001) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) (P=0.005) during pregnancy after considering all trimesters. Sleep duration was found to be negatively associated with both systolic blood pressure (SBP) (P=0.029) and DBP (P=0.002), whereas sleep efficiency was negatively correlated with DBP (P=0.002) only. Overall poor sleep during pregnancy was also found to be associated with a higher uterine artery pulsatility index.

Our prospective study demonstrated that poor sleep quality is significantly associated with higher blood pressure and uterine artery pulsatility index during pregnancy.
