Efficacy and safety of ablative fractional laser used for treatment of acne scars have been described in several studies. Recently, microneedling radiofrequency treatment has been showing promising results with low risk of side effects and rapid healing time.
To study efficacy and safety of ablative fractional ErYAG laser 2940nm and microneedling radiofrequency for facial atrophic acne scar.
21 patients with atrophic postacne scars were randomized to MRF for one half of the face and laser for the other half. Four sessions were performed monthly. For evaluation, the validated scale "Quantitative Global Grading System for Postacne Scarring" and patient's satisfaction were used before and 3months after treatment. Optical coherence tomography imaging of the skin was used as an objective tool for assessment.
Both sides showed significant improvement on clinical evaluation with no significant difference. Optical coherence tomography assessment showed significant increase of both epidermal and dermal thickness compared to baseline.

The molecular weight of DOPS-1 was 1530 kDa and the main chain was composed of (1→4)-β-D-Glcp, (1→4)-β-D-Manp and 2-O-acetyl-(1→4)-β-D-Manp. The measurement results of antioxidant activity showed that DOPS-1 had the strong scavenging activities on hydroxyl radicals, DPPH radicals and superoxide radicals and the high reducing ability in vitro. Prognosis of myasthenia gravis (MG) in patients with thymoma is not well established. Moreover, it is not clear whether thymoma recurrence or unresectable lesions entail a worse prognosis of MG.
This multicenter study was based on data from a Spanish neurologist-driven MG registry. All patients were aged >18years at onset and had anti-acetylcholine receptor antibodies. We compared the clinical data of thymomatous and nonthymomatous patients. Prognosis of patients with recurrent or nonresectable thymomas was assessed.
We included 964 patients from 15 hospitals; 148 (15.4%) had thymoma-associated MG. Median follow-up time was 4.6years. At onset, thymoma-associated MG patients were younger (52.0 vs. 60.4 years, p<0.001), had more generalized symptoms (odds ratio [OR] 3.02, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.95-4.68, p<0.001) and more severe clinical forms according to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America (MGFA) scale (OR 1.6, 95% CI 1.15-2.21, p=0.005). The objective of this study was to assess the impact of healthcare benefits on adherence to positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients.
Medical records of OSA patients at the Veterans Health Service Medical Center were retrospectively reviewed. OSA patients were assigned to two groups as the date of prescribing PAP after (=Group A) and before (=Group B) July 1, 2018 when PAP therapy starts to be included in healthcare insurance coverage for OSA patients in South Korea. PAP adherence was compared over a 3-month period between the two groups; subjective improvement after therapy was evaluated using the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores. In addition, we evaluated a number of OSA patients who chose to start PAP therapy without healthcare benefit (from July 2018 to December 2018).
Each of the 50 patients in the Group A and B exhibited PAP adherence rates of 82% and 26%, respectively (P<.001). Age did not affect PAP adherence in the Group A.
