Finally, we investigated the link between functional regional strength, neurocognitive assessments and daily life complaints. In patients relative to controls we observed lower grey matter volumes in cerebellar and frontal areas, as well as frontal cortical thinning. Cerebellar volume and orbitofrontal thickness appeared dose- and age-related, respectively. Cortical thickness of the parahippocampal area appeared lower, only if the group comparison was not adjusted for depression. This region specifically showed lower functional coherence, which was associated with lower processing speed. This study suggests cortical thinning as well as decreased functional coherence in survivors of childhood sarcoma, which could be important for both long-term attentional functioning and emotional distress in daily life. Frontal areas might be specifically vulnerable during adolescence.BACKGROUND The association between proteinuria and malignancy has been frequently reported, but the issue is matter of controversy. Thus, in order to shed light on the association, we evaluated proteinuria as a risk factor for malignancy using the dataset from the Korean National Health Insurance System (NHIS). METHODS The subjects had undergone a medical examination in 2009 (index year) among the entire Korean adult population. From a pool of 10,505,818 participants, we excluded subjects who were younger than 19 years (15,327), had a previous diagnosis of cancer (152,095), had missing data for at least one variable (544,508), and were diagnosed with cancer within 1 year from the index year (79,501). Proteinuria was examined by a single dipstick urinalysis. RESULTS A total of 9,714,387 subjects were included in this study and tracked until December 31, 2017. The participants were divided into three groups; no (95.2%), trace (2.3%), and overt (2.5%) proteinuria. Over the duration of this study, we observed that overt proteinuria was associated with an increased risk of cancer development (all cancers) (adjusted HR 1.154, 95% CI 1.134-1.173) and the long-term risk of cancer incidence increased proportionally according to the changes in proteinuria over a four-year period. LIMITATIONS Our study population consisted of Korean adults. Therefore, the results of this study may not be generalized to other ethnicities. SF1670 CONCLUSIONS We found a significant relationship between proteinuria and the risk of overall and site-specific cancer development. Further studies are needed to find an explanation of these findings.PURPOSE Although somatostatin receptor (SST) is a promising theranostic target and is widely expressed in tumors of various organs, the indication for therapies targeting SST is limited to typical gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). Thus, broadening the scope of the current clinical application of peptide receptor radiotherapy (PRRT) can be supported by a better understanding of the landscape of SST-expressing tumors. METHODS SST expression levels were assessed in data from The Cancer Genome Atlas across 10,701 subjects representing 32 cancer types. As the major target of PRRT is SST subtype 2 (SST2), correlation analyses between the pan-cancer profiles, including clinical and genetic features, and SST2 level were conducted. The median SST2 expression level of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PCPG) samples was used as the threshold to define "high-SST2 tumors." The prognostic value of SST2 in each cancer subtype was evaluated by using Cox proportional regression analysis. RESULTS We constrl aspects across cancers, especially in LGG and BRCA. These findings extend our knowledge base to diversify the indications for PRRT as well as SST imaging.Agarwood has been used as an incense and in traditional medicines as aphrodisiac, sedative, cardiotonic, and carminative. In this study, five new 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromones (2, 13-16) and eleven known compounds (1, 3-12) were isolated from the agarwood. The structures of the new compounds were determined by 1H-, 13C-, and two-dimensional NMR together with electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectroscopy. All isolated compounds were evaluated for the phosphodiesterase (PDE) 3A and 5A1 inhibitory activity by the fluorescence polarization method. Dimeric 2-(2-phenylehyl)chromones (13, 14, 16) had potent inhibitory activity to PDE 5A1 with IC50 values of micro molar range (13 4.2 μM, 14 7.9 μM, 16 4.3 μM), whereas they had weak activity to PDE 3A. In contrast, compound (15), which has a phenylpropionic acid moiety instead of the 2-(2-phenylethyl)chromone moiety in the dimers, showed moderate inhibition of both PDE 3A (IC50 42.6 μM) and PDE 5A1 (IC50 15.1 μM).To investigate whether image reconstruction with iterative reconstruction (IR) affects aortic valve calcification (AVC) scoring and likelihood categorization of severe aortic stenosis (AS). In this IRB-approved retrospective study, we included 100 consecutive patients with AS (40 females; mean age 77 ± 10 years; age range 36-99 years) undergoing CT prior to transcatheter aortic valve replacement. Non-enhanced, electrocardiography-gated CT of the heart was reconstructed with filtered back projection (FBP) and with advanced modeled IR at strength levels 1-5. AVC Agatston scores were calculated and gender-specific cut-off values for AS likelihood categorization were applied according to current European Society of Cardiology recommendations (from unlikely to very likely). Friedman test with post-hoc Bonferroni correction was applied to analyze interval- and ordinal-scaled data. Compared to FBP, each IR strength level produced significantly different AVC Agatston scores (p  less then  0.001-0.002). Median AVC Agatston score for image reconstruction with FBP was 2527 (IQR 1711-3663) and decreased with increasing IR strength levels up to 2281 (IQR 1471-3357) at strength level 5. Likelihood categorization of severe AS was significantly different among image reconstruction algorithms (p  less then  0.001). Image reconstruction with IR strength level 5 led to a downward shift of likelihood categorization in 28 patients (28%) compared to images reconstructed with FBP. IR significantly impacts AVC scoring with significantly decreasing AVC scores with increasing IR strength levels. This leads to relevant changes in likelihood categorization of patients with severe AS., leading to underestimation of severe AS.
