Cigarette-only and dual use were higher for respondents who did not have health care coverage. Prevalence by state of e-cigarette use only ranged from 1.2% (Vermont) to 3.9% (Arkansas), whereas the prevalence of dual use ranged from 0.6% (District of Columbia) to 4.0% (Oklahoma). CONCLUSION Prevalence of cigarette, e-cigarette, and dual use varied by sociodemographic characteristics and by state. These findings can support targeting of specific populations when designing and implementing evidence-based interventions for tobacco control in workplace settings.INTRODUCTION Since December 2010, Florida's Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida has aired a statewide tobacco education campaign to encourage smoking cessation. The Tobacco Free Florida campaign consists of evidence-based advertisements primarily characterized by strong emotional content and graphic imagery designed to increase awareness of the health risks of tobacco use. We evaluated the effect of the media campaign on population-level quit attempts by using a statewide representative sample of Florida adults aged 18 or older. METHODS We examined data from 5,418 Florida adult cigarette smokers and recent quitters aged 18 or older from the Florida Adult Tobacco Survey, an annual, cross-sectional survey conducted from 2011 through 2018. The primary outcome was incidence of quit attempts in the previous 12 months. We used multivariable logistic regression models to estimate the odds of making a quit attempt as a function of advertising levels across state media markets. Rates of quit attempts in Florida were also estimated. RESULTS Approximately 66% of smokers in the study made at least 1 quit attempt. AD80 in vivo Exposure to the campaign was associated with increased odds of a quit attempt in the previous 12 months (odds ratio = 1.25; P = .02) among smokers and recent quitters. The Tobacco Free Florida campaign was associated with an estimated 332,604 additional smokers making quit attempts per year during the study period. CONCLUSION The Tobacco Free Florida campaign affected cessation-related behaviors in Florida over an 8-year period. Evidence-based state tobacco education campaigns can accelerate progress toward the goal of reducing adult smoking. This study aimed to identify the prevalence and predictors of current fatigue and fatigue at 1-year follow-up, in people with HIV. Participants were recruited from HIV outpatient clinics in London, England. We explored a range of bio-psychosocial factors associated with current fatigue severity, identifying the most salient factors in a multifactorial model. A prospective study explored the predictive value of specific psychological and behavioral factors in predicting fatigue severity at one year. Sixty-four of 131 (49%) participants met the criteria for clinically significant fatigue at baseline. Psychological and behavioral variables, but not immune-virologic markers or antiretroviral treatment, were associated with current fatigue severity. In the multifactorial model, catastrophizing and distress independently predicted current fatigue severity. Higher levels of fatigue at 1 year was predicted by baseline catastrophizing, symptom focusing, distress and sleep quality, when controlling for baseline fatigue, clinical and demographic variables. These findings suggest psychological and behavioral factors are important in the maintenance of fatigue in people with HIV and identify potential opportunities for treatment. Future interventions for fatigue in HIV should not only address anxiety, depression and distress but could be optimized by targeting psychological processes such as catastrophic thinking styles and symptom focusing. Background and Purpose- Intracranial carotid artery calcification is associated with worse outcome in anterior circulation stroke patients who undergo endovascular thrombectomy. We investigated the association between vertebrobasilar artery calcification (VBAC) and outcome in patients undergoing endovascular thrombectomy for posterior circulation large vessel occlusion. Methods- Consecutive patients treated for posterior circulation large vessel occlusion from a prospective single-center registry were studied. VBAC was manually segmented on computed tomography brain scans. The associations between VBAC and VBAC volume, functional independence (90-day modified Rankin Scale score of 0-2), and 90-day mortality were assessed using propensity score-adjusted logistic regression. Results- Sixty-four posterior circulation large vessel occlusion patients were included. Twenty-five (39.1%) patients had VBAC, and of these, the median (interquartile range) VBAC volume was 19.8 (6.65-23.4) mm3. VBAC was associated with reduced functional independence (OR, 0.19 [95% CI, 0.04-0.78]; P=0.03) and increased mortality (OR, 9.44 [95% CI, 2.43-36.62]; P=0.005). Larger VBAC volumes were a significant predictor of reduced functional independence and increased mortality. Conclusions- VBAC is an independent predictor of outcome in patients undergoing endovascular thrombectomy for posterior circulation large vessel occlusion. Considering the presence of VBAC might improve prognostication and shared treatment decision-making between patients, families, and physicians. Background and Purpose- Definitions of significant hematoma expansion traditionally focus on changes in intraparenchymal volume. The presence of intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) is a predictor of poor outcome, but current definitions of hematoma expansion do not include IVH expansion. We evaluated whether including IVH expansion to current definitions of hematoma expansion improves the ability to predict 90-day outcome. Methods- Using data from the PREDICT-ICH study (Predicting Hematoma Growth and Outcome in Intracerebral Hemorrhage Using Contrast Bolus CT), we compared a standard definition of hematoma expansion (≥6 mL or ≥33%) to revised definitions that includes new IVH development or expansion (≥6 mL or ≥33% or any IVH; ≥6 mL or ≥33% or IVH expansion ≥1 mL). The primary outcome was poor clinical outcome (modified Rankin Scale score, 4-6) at 90 days. Diagnostic accuracy measures were calculated for each definition, and C statistics for each definition were compared using nonparametric methods. Results- Of the 256 patients eligible for primary analysis, 127 (49.
