Eyestalk ablation increased the expression level of MroPGES2 gene compared to intact groups during the ovary maturation stages. Collectively, this study confirmed the existence of prostanoids in the giant freshwater prawn, as well as characterizing key gene MroPGES2 associated with the prostanoid pathway. We propose that MroPGES2 may play an important role in M. rosenbergii ovarian maturation and its expression is under the inhibitory control from the eyestalk optic ganglion hormones. Identification of genes in prostanoid pathway and their expressions enables future functional studies to be performed, which may lead to applications in the aquaculture of this species.Curcumin (CUR) and fish oil (FO) are among the most well-known types of natural anti-inflammatory compounds. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of nanocurcumin and fish oil vs. glucocorticoids on Holstein calves' health status. A lipopolysaccharide (LPS) challenge (0.5 μg kg-1 BW) was used to induce an acute phase response. A total of 42 male Holstein calves were randomized into 7 groups negative control (CON), positive control (LPS, injected once), 250 mg/kg BW per day fish oil + LPS (FO250), 350 mg/kg BW per day fish oil + LPS (FO350), 2 mg/kg BW per day nanocurcumin + LPS (NCUR2), 4 mg/kg BW per day nanocurcumin + LPS (NCUR4), and 0.3 mg/kg BW dexamethasone (injected once) + LPS (DEX). The duration of this experiment was 11 days, with application of the LPS challenge on day 8. Calves were weighed on days 0, 7, 9, 10, and 11 to record the average daily weight gain; diets offered and refused were recorded daily throughout the experiment. Blood collection and clinical scoring were conducted at suc) in calves, as levels of inflammatory cytokines and APPs as well as sickness behavior remained unchanged. It seems that the anti-inflammatory effects of FO and CUR on APR, as has been observed for other animal species, do not manifest that clearly in calves.Series of (E)-1-benzyl-4-((4-styrylphenoxy)methyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazoles 7a-x were obtained by Wittig reaction between 4-((1-benzyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methoxy)benzaldehydes 5a-d and benzyl triphenylphosphonium halides 6a-f in benzene. The structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by FTIR, NMR (1H and 13C NMR) spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. All synthesized compounds were screened for their cytotoxic activity against human cancer cell lines including pancreatic carcinoma, colorectal carcinoma, lung carcinoma, and leukemias such as acute lymphoblastic, chronic myeloid, and non-Hodgkinson lymphoma cell lines. In vitro cytotoxicity data showed that compounds 7c, 7e, 7h, 7j, 7k, 7r, and 7w were moderately cytotoxic (11.6-19.3 μM) against the selected cancer cell lines. These cytotoxicity findings were supported using molecular docking studies of the compounds against 1TUB receptor. The drug-likeness properties of the compounds evaluated by in silico ADME analyses. Resveratrol linked 1,2,3-triazoles were more sensitive towards human carcinoma cell lines but least sensitive towards leukemia and lymphoma cell lines. This paper demonstrates the application of the system biology principles on the example of the dopamine signaling pathway in neurons. Presented model is based on two approaches - cytomorphic electronic circuits and mathematical modeling. Transcription and phosphorylation of DARPP-32 was modeled by analog circuit, based on well-known approaches presented in [1]. It was shown that application of circuit helps to receive signal oscillations that close to described ones in real biological systems. This combination on the one hand gives possibility to simplify calculations, on another to show this signaling pathway dynamics. The expected effect of changes in the functioning of calcium channels is considered, and the mathematical model of the interaction of system components is proposed. The average frequency of calcium current oscillations due to the presence of dopamine was 30 Hz in presented model, that is consistent with the literature, where the frequency of such oscillations is up to several tens of Hz. All presented results shows good correlation with known data, which already published today. The free vibration control differential equation of shallow spherical shell on two-parameter foundation is a four order differential equation. Using the intermediate variable, the four order differential equation is reduced to two lower order differential equations. The first lower order differential equation is a Helmholtz equation. A new method of two-dimensional Helmholtz operator is proposed as shown in the paper in which the Bessel function included in Helmholtz equation needs to be treated appropriately to eliminate singularity. The first lower order differential equation is transformed into the integral equation using the proposed method in the paper. The second lower order differential equation which is a Laplace equation is transformed into the integral equation by existing methods. Then the two integral equations are discretized according to the middle rectangle formula, and the corresponding solutions can be obtained by MATLAB programming. In this paper, the R-function theory is used to select the appropriate boundary equation to eliminate the singularity. Based on the properties of R-function, the combined method of Helmholtz equation and Laplace equation can solve the free vibration problem of irregular shallow spherical shell on two-parameter foundation. learn more Five examples are given to verify the feasibility of the method. We studied the effects of land use change from grassland to Eucalyptus spp. plantation on macro and mesofauna soil food webs in two sites in the Rolling Pampas. We expected to find differences in the parameters that characterize the structure of soil food webs, as the implantation of Eucalyptus implies changes in the characteristics of the resources and the microhabitat conditions. We also expected to find differences in the communities in terms of diversity, abundance, and species present. The treatments were grasslands; 10-year-old Eucalyptus plantations and 20-year-old Eucalyptus plantations. Seasonal samplings were performed for the extraction of soil fauna in winter, spring, summer and autumn. For the analysis of food webs, we worked with "trophic species groups of organisms that have the same prey and the same predators. A total of 25 food webs were laid out using bibliographical information of feeding habits from the identified taxa. From each food web, we obtained a predator overlap graph, in which the consumers that share the same source or prey are linked by an arrow.
