She was examined with and without flexor reflex activation by the Incedo® system. Tests included a 10-m walk and a 2-min walk at baseline, after 3 weeks of training with the Incedo® system and after a follow-up 3 weeks later. Moreover, a kinematic gait analysis was done before and after the training period. At baseline, activation of the flexor reflex induced an improved gait velocity. After the training period, the patient walked twice as fast compared with baseline. Her gait velocity without Incedo® was faster than the gait velocity with Incedo® at baseline. Examination at follow-up indicated that the improvements remained almost unchanged. The kinematic analysis showed an improved stride length and gait velocity during flexor reflex activation. We aim to examine the association between lipid levels and 3-month ICH prognosis in women. Method We went through a registry of spontaneous ICH cases and selected female patients to study according to our criteria. We collected demographic, clinical, and laboratory information and evaluated serum triglyceride (TG) levels, total cholesterol (TC) levels, low-density cholesterol (LDLC) levels, high-density cholesterol (HDLC) levels, non-high-density cholesterol (non-HDLC) levels, and 3-month modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Multivariate logistic regression was performed, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were plotted to explore the relationship between serum lipid levels and 3-month ICH clinical outcomes. Results Two hundred six female patients were included in this study, and 96 (46.6%) of them had poor functional outcomes. In the univariate analysis, low TG (p = 0.006), TC (p = 0.025), LDLC (p = 0.001), non-HDLC (p less then 0.001) levels, and high HDL (p = 0.036) levels were associated with poor 3-month clinical outcomes in women. A 38-year-old male known to have 22q11.2DS developed recurrent vertigo, tinnitus, and fluctuating hearing loss in the left ear during a 10-year follow-up period. During vertigo attack, he had spontaneous left-beating nystagmus with downbeat components, but bithermal caloric and video head impulse tests showed normal vestibulo-ocular reflex functions. Sequential pure tone audiograms demonstrated fluctuating sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) in both ears, which finally progressed to permanent hearing loss in the left ear. Computed tomography imaging of the temporal bone exhibited bilaterally malformed lateral semicircular canals, and delayed 3D-FLAIR sequences revealed cochlear endolymphatic hydrops with dilation of the scala media in the left ear.
