Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double-stroller, its folded size and weight are important aspects to take into consideration. When not in use, choose one that is easy to handle and compact. This will allow it to store in your car trunk and navigate through airport security and foreign roads.
The best lightweight strollers feature an easy, light fold and self-standing mechanisms to lessen the burden on parents' bodies. Many also come with a wide selection of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
The perfect product for families on the go. Compact and light weight, it has an easy fold with one hand. The all-terrain wheels and front suspension and the multi-position reclining seat, can accommodate children weighing up 50 pounds. Trays for both children and parents, large storage basket and 3-tier canopy that has a peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection.
The Cloud has one of the lowest scores in our quality tests due to its flimsy design as well as hard plastic seats and a design that is outdated. It is also more expensive than other lightweight strollers. This makes it a poor option for those seeking the cheapest option.
Although it's not the lightest double stroller, it does have enough features that are worth considering. Its swiveling wheels make easy to navigate it on flat surfaces. It also allows you to jump curbs with ease. The Cloud's low, almost knee-high handle is a drawback. It's not adjustable, and it's not adjustable. It's not comfortable to push your legs suspended in the air, and it doesn't help that it's not cushioned.
During testing, we found that the Cloud was easy to set up and opened. To close it, it's a bit more difficult. You must slide the slider before you press the large white button. This can be frustrating particularly if you're trying to keep track of kids at the same time.
The Cloud has a small, but deep storage basket that will accommodate a medium-sized diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow and you may have to put something in it to reach the back. The Cloud comes with a child and parent tray with two cup holders each however, both are too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.
The Kolcraft brand has been in operation since 1946 and is a third generation family-owned business. They started by making diapers and crib pads, but now they manufacture a variety of baby products, including highchairs as well as infant car seats. The company is located in Chicago, and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is a lightweight and minimalist double stroller that's perfect for traveling. It's light at 18 lbs (lighter than some single strollers!) It folds flat to make it easy to carry and store. It also has independently reclined seats, large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors with large windows with peekaboos and under-seat storage bags. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate kids of different heights. Additionally, it comes with an integrated one-step parking brake that is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also fantastic to maneuver over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats, so your little ones should be at least 6+ months old and have a solid neck control in order to ride in the front seat. It does have a nice, three panel sun canopy, however, and each seat has its own snack tray as well as cup holders for the parents.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight side by side stroller. It's a bit heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 pounds, but it's narrow and slim (26.5 inches wide!) It has a lot of exquisite details that make it ideal for travel. It is easy to fold, is extremely maneuverable and fits into trunks and overhead compartments of airplanes easily.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, just like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It is similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has a few key distinctions. It's also a bit more expensive, but it has more maneuverability and the largest sun canopy. It also has a convenient carry strap and can hold kids up to 44 lbs per seat.
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+
If you're seeking a stroller which is light but packed with features look no further than Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+. It's not just light at 13 lbs and comes with plenty of storage in the form of child and parent cup holders, a sippy-cup for the child pocket, a parent storage pocket and more. It can also be used with a child's chair and comes with a brake with a flip-flop feature that is easily engaged. It's designed to grow with your child from a newborn stroller to a toddler stroller simply by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and up.
Another thing to note about this stroller is that it only has swivel wheels and doesn't have locking capabilities, so it might not be the best choice for rocky or hilly terrain. It's still a great option for families of all sizes, since it can be easily maneuvered on paved surfaces and other smooth surfaces.
This stroller is one of the lightest double strollers, with full-size features and a sleek, compact design. double pram pushchair -close feature allows you to fold it down with just one hand and it's compact enough to store easily in your trunk or garage. It can also be used as a travel stoller and is compatible without adapters with most car seats.
In contrast to most strollers that are lightweight unlike other strollers that are lightweight, the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ features two seats that can accommodate up to 50 lbs. per seat (100 lbs total). The seats have a recline that can be adjusted in multiple positions, separate leg rests, as well as 3-panel canopies with flip-out sunvisors and windows that peek out.
The seats are padded for your little one's comfort and come with a five-point padded safety harness that adjusts to three different heights. Each has a built-in infant cushion, which is great for babies. The cup holders for parent and child, the phone holder and the large storage basket will be appreciated by parents. The stroller is also available with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.
Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 is an excellent choice for parents who want a stroller that is light and can hold two children. The sling-style seats are comfortable and offer a similar amount of headroom, allowing kids to sit side-by-side. In contrast to other strollers that are side-by-side, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is ideal for napping. Its recline feature is easy to use, but it's not a perfect flat. Taller children may have a leg hanging in the reclined position. It also has a large canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking out sun than other options in our review of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to navigate through door frames, which was a big issue for us with some other strollers we tested. It folds easily and the handlebars are located close to the ground. The only drawback is its relatively small storage space, which feels tight when stuffed with kids' toys.
Joovy is a family-owned business, creates innovative, functional and high-quality baby products. Their line includes unique bottles that we have reviewed in our best baby bottle review, fascinating strollers like the Joovy Zoom X2 Double and a unique rain cover that fits a variety of popular strollers. The bottles are reasonably priced and often come with fun designs that are appealing to children.
In our lab tests we examine a variety of aspects to determine the ease of use of a double stroller. This includes the ease with which it is possible to fold and set up, how easy it is to adjust the safety harness, and how to open and close the brakes. We also lift and carry the folded walkers like they would be put into a trunk, and how to put in and remove a infant car seat if needed. We also evaluated the strength and durability as well as whether each model has an adult tray that can accommodate both child trays.
The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the top rating for ease of use in our most recent update of the best double strollers guide, as well as one of the top scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its simple-to-use design features one-hand, no tilt recline and an enormous canopy with ventilation mesh that is visible even when it's tilted. There are also individual child trays, built-in cupholders and zipper pockets for parents, and an enormous storage basket.
