Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) causes joint pain and limited mobility, which affects the quality of life. The use of Chinese herbal medicine to treat KOA has achieved certain effects, and Wutou decoction (WTD) is one of them. But there is no high-level evidence to support this result. The purpose of this work is to evaluate WTD's efficacy and safety in the management of KOA.
We will search articles in 7 electronic databases including Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Data (WF), Chinese Scientific Journals Database (VIP), Chinese databases SinoMed (CBM), PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases. All the publications, with no time restrictions, will be searched without any restriction of language and status, the time from the establishment of the database to September 2020. Two reviewers will independently assess the quality of the selected studies, NoteExpress and Excel software will be used to extract data, and the content will be stored in an electronic chart. Different researchers will separately screen the titles and abstracts of records acquired potential eligibility which comes from the electronic databases. Full-text screening and data extraction will be conducted afterward independently. Statistical analysis will be conducted using RevMan 5.4 software.
This study will evaluate the current efficacy and safety of WTD in the treatment of KOA, to provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical recommendations.
This study will provide reliable evidence on whether WTD is safe and effective in treating KOA.

INPLASY202090022.The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between overweight and severity, drug response, and clinical outcomes of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).In this retrospective cohort study, we reviewed medical records of 240 COVID-19 patients admitted to Union Hospital in Wuhan, China, between December 24, 2019, and March 25, 2020. Physical, clinical, laboratory, radiological characteristics, treatment, and outcome data were abstracted. Patients who were obese [body mass index (BMI) ≥28 kg/m], underweight (BMI less then 18.5 kg/m), under 18 years old, pregnant, or still in hospital were excluded. Disease severity was classified as moderate or severe pneumonia based on the World Health Organization interim guidance. Overweight was defined as BMI ≥24 kg/m and less then 28 kg/m. Patients were followed for discharge or death through April 10, 2020. We used logistic regression models to identify risk factors for severe disease, Cox proportional hazard models to explore associations between medicaith reduced mortality in overweight patients. Intravenous immunoglobulin, oseltamivir, and ribavirin were associated with reduced mortality in normal weight patients.Overweight is a worldwide health problem. We found overweight to be related to the COVID-19 severity but not to in-hospital death. Clinicians should be aware that overweight COVID-19 patients require increased attention for different clinical features and treatment response.Health-related quality of life (HRQOL) is lower in individuals with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) than in the general population. However, previous evaluations of HRQOL for AIH have included a broad range of disease activities. The aim of this study was to clarify HRQOL among patients with AIH in remission. We assessed HRQOL in patients with AIH in remission, patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) with eradicated hepatitis C virus (HCV) and patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) using the Japanese version of the Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire (CLDQ).Participants comprised 62 patients with AIH in remission, 39 patients with CHC with eradicated HCV and 66 patients with PBC. Median ages of patients were 63, 69, and 64 years, respectively. Overall score (5.6 vs 5.9, P = .02) and fatigue (5.2 vs 5.6, P = .01) and worry (5.6 vs 6.0, P = .01) domain scores of the CLDQ were significantly lower in patients with AIH in remission than in CHC with eradicated HCV, and similar to scores except for the systemic symptoms domain in patients with PBC. Disease duration was associated with lower scores on systemic symptoms and activity domains of the CLDQ in patients with AIH in remission.Patients with AIH in remission show impaired HRQOL associated with disease duration.
Adductor canal block (ACB) has emerged as an attractive alternative for femoral nerve blocks (FNB) as the peripheral nerve block of choice for total knee arthroplasty (TKA), preserving quadriceps motor function while providing analgesia comparable to FNB. However, its optimal application for TKA remains controversial. The objective of this meta-analysis was to compare continuous-injection ACB (CACB) vs single-injection ACB (SACB) for postoperative pain control in patients undergoing TKA.
This study attempts to identify the available and relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) regarding the analgesic effects of CACB compared to SACB in patients undergoing TKA according to electronic databases, including PubMed, Medline, Web of Science, EMbase, and the Cochrane Library, up to September 2019. Primary outcomes in this regard included the use of a visual analogue scale (VAS) pain score with rest or activity, while secondary outcomes were cumulative opioid consumption, length of hospital stay (LOS), complided studies, no firm conclusions can be drawn. Further investigations into RCT are required for verification.
This meta-analysis indicated that CACB is superior to SACB in regard to analgesic effect following TKA. OICR-9429 cell line However, due to the variation of the included studies, no firm conclusions can be drawn. Further investigations into RCT are required for verification.Several preoperative blood and biochemical parameters are associated with postoperative survival in many kinds of tumors. The aim of this study is to study the predictive value of several routine preoperative blood and biochemical parameters on the prognosis patients with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS).We retrospectively recruited 55 patients diagnosed with RMS and had surgery at West China Hospital, Sichuan University between January 2010 and December 2018. Baseline characteristics of the patients, tumor features, surgery details, and values of several examinations were extracted. A long-term follow-up was conducted by phone call. A novel statistical analysis was subsequently carried out to look for the relationship of preoperative parameters and patients' prognosis. The ROC analysis showed an area under curve (AUC) of 0.608, 0.620, 0.626, 0.591, and 0.518 for neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte to lymphocyte ratio (MLR), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) respectively, and the cut-off value of 2.
