Also, the Kaplan-Meier analysis and the area under curve (AUC) values indicated that the 3-DNA methylation signature was independent of clinical characteristics, including age at diagnosis, sex, anatomic location, tumor residual classification, and histological subtypes.
The current study showed that the 3-DNA methylation model could efficiently function as a novel and independent prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for patients with sarcoma.

Smoking is a well-known risk factor for cardio-cerebrovascular disease. However, several studies have reported the "smoker's paradox" whereby smokers have a better prognosis for cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. Similar to cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, hypoxia is one of the major mechanisms of injury in carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. This study investigated the association between smoking and delayed neuropsychiatric sequelae (DNS) in acute CO poisoning. This study involved patients with CO poisoning treated at a university hospital in Bucheon, Korea between September 2017 and March 2020. The exclusion criteria were age <18 years, discharge against medical advice, loss to follow-up, persistent neurological symptoms at discharge, transfer from another hospital 24 hours after exposure, and transfer from another hospital after hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Logistic regression analysis was performed to find factors associated with DNS.Two hundred sixty three patients visited the hospital due to CO poisoning aable logistic regression analysis revealed that CO exposure time (odds ratio [OR] 1.003; confidence interval [CI] 1.001-1.005; P = .003), the Glasgow coma scale (GCS) (OR 0.862; CI 0.778-0.956; P = .005), and pack-years (OR 0.947; CI 0.903-0.993; P = .023) were statistically significant for DNS development. These results indicate that more pack-years smoked were associated with reduced risk of the development of DNS in acute CO poisoning, and that CO exposure time and GCS is a predictive factor for DNS occurrence.
To explore the optimal way to manage patients with high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) and positive margin by identifying the risk factors for its recurrence and residue.A retrospective study was conducted on 267 cases of a pathologically confirmed HSIL with positive margin following conization by loop electrosurgical excisional procedure (LEEP) between January 2010 and December 2015. selleckchem One hundred two cases were selected for regular follow-up every 6 months, and 165 cases were selected for a second surgery (repeat cervical conization or hysterectomy) within 3 months of initial LEEP. We analyzed the association between recurrent or residual diseases and these factors age, menopausal status, ThinPrep cytologic test (TCT) results, high-risk human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) infection, pathological grades of the margin, number of involved margins, and glandular involvement. The recurrence rate among 102 cases who underwent follow-up was 17.6% (18/102). The factors atypical squamous cells of undeterminedaracteristics of the positive margin, as well as TCT and HR-HPV infection condition.

Construction work can negatively affect artisans' mental health in the form of stress. This research investigated the effect of cognitive behavioral intervention on occupational stress among Nigerian construction trade artisans in the building construction sector.
In this randomized controlled study involving 3 waves of data collection, 140 construction trade artisans who presented with high occupational stress symptoms at the study onset were assigned randomly to either a treatment condition (n = 70) or to a waitlist control condition (n = 70). The study involved pre-treatment and post-treatment assessments and a 3-months follow-up. The artisans' occupational stress questionnaire and artisans' dysfunctional thoughts at work scale were the data collection instruments.
Results revealed a significant effect of group on artisans' occupational stress and dysfunctional thoughts at work. Also, significant effects of time on artisans' occupational stress and dysfunctional thoughts at work were recorded. Finally, group × time interaction effects on artisans' occupational stress and dysfunctional thoughts at work were significant.
Cognitive behavioral intervention effectively reduced occupational stress symptoms and dysfunctional thoughts at work among Nigerian construction trade artisans compared with a waitlist control condition.

This study was designed to explore the influence of social and family support system on the fertility pattern of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected women.
An interventional study including 70 participants.
HIV-infected female participants treated from January 2015 to January 2019 were selected, randomly divided into 2 groups, with 35cases in each group. The experimental group was given complete social and family support, whereas the control group was given basic treatment only. Changes in fertility rate, fertility number, and fertility interval were compared between the 2 groups. We also compared the changes in the quality of life (QOL), Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) of the 2 groups of participants.
The fertility rate of the experimental group was 43.29%, and that of in the control group was 31.96%, and the childbearing age is mainly concentrated in the 20 to 29 years; the difference was statistically significant (P < .05). The mean number of births in the experimental group was (1.
