OBJECTIVE This study aimed to evaluate the color stability (ΔE00 ) of bis-acryl resins after different immersion solutions and storage time by different evaluation methods. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty specimens (n = 30) were prepared from Protemp 4 and Structur 3. The specimens were divided into three groups (n = 10), according to the immersion solution (artificial saliva, cola beverage, and yerba mate tea) and evaluated at two storage times (7 and 14 days). The ΔE00 of each group was calculated using color coordinates obtained by a spectrophotometer and by a digital method, using the CIEDE2000 color difference formula. TAK-779 manufacturer Data were analyzed by three-way ANOVA and Tukey test (α = 0.05). RESULTS The 7-day period presented the lowest ΔE00 values, regardless of the material and solution evaluated for both evaluation methods (ΔE00   1.8), while in spectrophotometer only in yerba mate tea (14 days) Structur was above the clinical acceptability level. CONCLUSIONS Yerba mate tea was the immersion solution with a higher color change in both materials and assessment methods. The highest values were found after 14 days of immersion, regardless of the solution. The ΔE00 for the digital method was higher than the spectrophotometer analysis. CLINICAL SIGNIFICANCE It is important to identify the influence of staining beverages on interim materials used in patients requiring temporary rehabilitation. The use of a spectrophotometer seems to be more accurate than the digital method for the evaluation of color parameters of the tested materials. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.OBJECTIVES To assess whether clinical and patient-reported outcomes are poorer for people with inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatic diseases living in rural locations. METHODS We searched six databases for articles which were primary peer-reviewed research, published in English 1990-2019, which focussed on selected rheumatic diseases (rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) or osteoarthritis (OA)), and quantified either patient-reported or clinically measured outcomes by a measure of rurality or remoteness. Selected articles were synthesised narratively. RESULTS Eight eligible publications, including 753 rural and 929 urban patients, evaluated outcomes in RA (5 studies) and OA (3 studies). Studies were small, single centre, and rarely provided a definition of rurality. Aspects relating to rurality, such as access to services, were not measured. In RA some studies suggested greater functional disability and disease activity in rural dwellers. In OA, there was some evidence to suggest that rural dwellers presented with more advanced degenerative hip changes, and that illness perceptions and coping differed between rural and urban dwellers. No studies examined work outcomes. Potentially important confounding factors such as socio-economic status were rarely considered. CONCLUSION There remains considerable uncertainty whether outcomes differ for rheumatic disease patients in rural settings. There is a need for larger-scale studies characterising participants in relation to place of residence, in order to determine whether rurality is an independent predictor of outcome or a surrogate marker for socioeconomic factors. © 2020, The Authors. However, simple anodic stripping analysis reveals that some previously reported stable MOFs are in fact unstable under catalytic turnover conditions for CO 2 reduction in aqueous electrolyte media and the resulting metal nanoparticles are the active form of the electrocatalysts. The results reported in this paper suggest that stability data related to MOF electrocatalyts may need careful revaluation and the origin of activity of these catalysts may need to be reconsidered. Suitable strategies are needed to synthesize stable MOF electrocatalysts. The use of the readily accessible stripping analysis method provides a powerful tool to assess their stability under turnover conditions. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. However, little is known about Dps proteins from non-heterocystous filamentous cyanobacteria. In this study, a Dps protein from the thermophilic non-heterocystous filamentous cyanobacterium Thermoleptolyngbya sp. O-77 (TlDps1) was purified and characterized. PAGE and CD analyses of TlDps1 demonstrated that it had higher thermostability than previously reported Dps proteins. X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that TlDps1 possessed His-type ferroxidase centers within the cavity and unique metal binding sites located on the surface of the protein, which presumably contributed to its exceedingly high thermostability. Unfortunately, our knowledge of foot OA and its burden substantially lags behind that of other joint sites (i.e., knee, hip, and hand). Given the link of foot pain and disorders with disability and reduced quality of life (3), a greater understanding is needed of foot OA and its pathogenesis and risk factors, especially since it is likely a serious disease with a significant public health burden. © 2020, The Authors. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study retrospectively examined 109 patients diagnosed with SCLC between January 2008 and October 2018 in our hospital. Patients were divided into two groups according to the median of OPNI values. RESULTS A significant difference was observed between the groups in terms of neutrophil percentage, lymphocyte count, lymphocyte percentage, C-reactive protein (CRP), albumin, lactat dehidrogenase (LDH) and neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) (P  less then  0.05). LDH, CRP, neutrophil percentage and NLR (P = 0.008, P  less then  0.001, P = 0.001, P  less then  0.001, respectively) were significantly higher and albumin, lymphocyte count and lymphocyte percentage (P  less then  0.001, P  less then  0.001, P = 0.001, respectively) were significantly lower in the low OPNI group. Survival analyses have shown that mortality rates and lifespan are similar in the two groups.
