However, no significant difference was observed between the 2 groups in IKDC score changes from baseline to 6 and 12 months, as well as in WOMAC-Pain, WOMAC-Stiffness, and WOMAC-Physical Function score changes at each visit point. CONCLUSION Stem cell therapy is certainly superior to traditional treatments in the conservative treatment of KOA; it considerably reduces pain with no obvious additional side effects.BACKGROUND Number of studies have been performed to evaluate the relationship between the cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated antigen-4 (CTLA-4) gene variant rs5742909 polymorphism and cervical cancer risk, but the sample size was small and the results were conflicting. This meta-analysis was conducted to comprehensively evaluate the overall association. METHODS PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, China Biology Medical Literature database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, WanFang, and Weipu databases were searched before July 31, 2018. The strength of associations was assessed using odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs). All of the statistical analyses were conducted using Review Manager 5.3 and Stata 14.0. RESULTS Eleven studies involved 3899 cases and 4608 controls. Overall, significant association was observed between the CTLA-4 gene variant rs5742909 polymorphism and cervical cancer (T vs C OR = 1.40, 95% CI = 1.12-1.76; TT vs CC OR = 2.22, 95% CI = 1.13-4.37; TT vs CT+CC OR = 1.96, 95% CI = 1.03-3.74; TT+CT vs CC OR = 1.47, 95% CI = 1.14-1.90). In subgroup analysis by ethnic group, a statistically significant association was observed in Asians (T vs C OR = 1.56, 95% CI = 1.22-1.99), but not in Caucasians (T vs C OR = 1.19, 95% CI = 0.87-1.62). The sensitivity analysis confirmed the reliability and stability of the meta-analysis. CONCLUSION our meta-analysis supports that the CTLA-4 gene variant rs5742909 polymorphism might contribute to individual susceptibility to cervical cancer in Asians.BACKGROUND Osteoporosis is an important cause of bone fractures and even a cause of threaten to the lives of elderly people. Mind-body exercises are beneficial interventions for improving flexibility, controlling body balance, and reducing pain. To assess the effect of mind-body exercise on osteoporosis in aging people, we will perform this systematic review. METHODS Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) which carried out about mind-body exercise for osteoporosis will be included. Web of Science, PubMed, Science Direct, Medline, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang will be searched from inception to January 2020. The outcomes will include bone mineral density (BMD), bone mineral content (BMC), body balance, function of lower extremity, pain, fearing level, and quality of life. Trial reporting quality will be assessed by 2 reviewers independently and Review Manager 5.3 software will be used for meta-analysis. Trial registration is under PROSPERO (CRD42020165385). RESULTS Based on the current evidence, the potential rank of the efficacy and safety of mind-body exercises for BMD, BMC, body balance, function of lower extremity, pain, fearing level and quality of life will be assessed, and a prioritization regimen will be summarized. CONCLUSIONS Evidence from this systematic review could be useful for patients, clinical practitioners, and guideline-makers to select an optimum proposal of mild-body exercises for older adults with osteoporosis. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the prevalence rates of externalizing symptom, ADHD, as well as internalizing symptoms, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, and alcohol problem in Korea juvenile delinquency for the first time in Korea. A case-control study design was used. It also examined the associations with ADHD, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and alcohol problem between the Juvenile Delinquency group and the comparison group in Korea.A series of questionnaires were provided to a total of 251 participants (149 from the juvenile delinquency group and 102 from the comparison group) from October 2015 to December 2015 in Korea. All participants were evaluated using KARS, SSI, BDI, BAI, RSI, and CAGE. see more This study showed the relationship between ADHD, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and alcohol problem in Korean juvenile delinquency. Also this study showed that ADHD and self-esteem were important factors in predicting juvenile delinquency. Therefore, in order to prevent juvenile delinquency, special attention, and consideration are needed for adolescents with high ADHD or low self-esteem.BACKGROUND Insomnia is a global public problem, which has a significant negative impact on both physical and mental health, while increasing the economic burden placed on both sufferers and society. Western medicine has a fast treatment on sleep, but it leads to side effects and strong dependence. Long Dan Xie Gan Tang(LDXGT) is a representative Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of insomnia especially which has a bad-tempered symptom, and its effectiveness and safety has been validated clinically. However, there is yet to be any evidence-based medicine. Therefore, the effectiveness and safety of LDXGT in the treatment of insomnia are studied and systematically evaluated in this study. It will provide a theoretical support for the treatment of insomnia compared to western medicine. OBJECTIVE The study is purposed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of LDXGT for the treatment of insomnia. METHODS Search was conducted for various databases including Pubmed, Chinese Biomedicine Database(CBM), China N5% confidence interval CI [2.04 to 3.48], P  less then  .00001). In two trials, adverse events were reported, but no serious adverse effects were reported. CONCLUSION Our systematic evaluation will provide evidence for the clinical effectiveness and safety of LDXGT in the treatment of insomnia, and the side effects of western medicine are addressed. Further trials are necessary to collect the evidence for the use of LDXGT.Some thyroid cancer patients experience a rapid disease progression after the discontinuation of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), which is called flare phenomenon. The incidence of the flare phenomenon of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) ranged from 4% to 11.1% and the median time to occurrence of the flare phenomenon ranged from 7 to 12 days in previous reports. In this study, we investigate the timing and incidence of the flare phenomenon in thyroid cancer patients treated with lenvatinib. The records of patients treated with lenvatinib were retrospectively reviewed. The primary outcomes were the incidence rate and timing of the flare phenomenon after the discontinuation of lenvatinib. The flare phenomenon was defined as death, hospitalization attributable to tumor progression, or unexpected event (e.g., pleural drainage) within 1 month of lenvatinib cessation. We excluded patients with progression of underlying diseases other than thyroid cancer or infection, those in whom the disease progressed, or those who died without achieving a clinical response (stable disease, partial response, or complete response).
