5 ± 11.0 s) was significantly shorter than that for PI (173.0 ± 54.4 s, p < 0.0001). SNR and CNR of PI with CS were significantly better than those with PI (mean SNR; 11.2 ± 3.6 vs 8.9 ± 2.6, median of CNR; 7.4 vs. 6.1, p < 0.0001). All inter-observer agreements were assessed as significant and substantial (0.62 < κ < 0.81).

PI with CS accelerated T2 weighted sequence performs equally well or even slightly better than its PI accelerated, conventional counterpart at reduced scan times in the context of head and neck MR imaging.

We present a case of pulmonary and possible cerebral infection due to Rasamsonia argillacea in a girl with CGD receiving no primary antifungal prophylaxis. There was a fatal outcome despite the combination of antifungal therapy and surgical interventions. We also conducted a literature review on reported invasive Rasamsonia spp. infections in the setting of CGD.The method of quasicollinear acousto-optic tunable filters (AOTFs) piezoelectric transducer dimensions optimization is presented. The AOTFs with large interaction length apply the bulk acoustic wave (BAW) reflection from the input optical facet. Optimization is based on spectral approach to simulation of the BAW field in anisotropic media and Raman-Nath equations numerically solved for the inhomogeneous acoustic field. It was found that variation of the transducer dimensions can minimize RF power consumption of the AOTF. Comparison of the optimized transducer dimensions with those commonly used in quasicollinear paratellurite AOTFs showed that it is possible to improve the AOTF energy efficiency in about 2 times. It was shown that acoustic field simulation results obtained for one AOTF geometry can be applied to the other geometries but for equivalent frequency providing the same ultrasound beam ray spectrum width. It was also shown that when choosing the quasicollinear AOTF with reflection geometry, one should not rely only on the AO figure of merit value, since the energy efficiency of such AOTF type will be determined by the product of the AO figure of merit and the AOTF efficiency, which takes into account the change in the acoustic beam width in the reflection process. The results aim at improving the design of AOTFs for ultrashort laser pulse shaping.

Trichotillomania (TTM) is characterized by recurrent hair pulling and associated hair loss. Skin picking disorder (SPD) is characterized by recurrent skin picking and associated scarring or tissue damage. Both disorders are also accompanied by psychological distress and poor sleep. Very little, however, is known about lifestyle variables that may contribute to symptom severity in these disorders.

We recruited 87 adults as part of a cross-sectional study of 3 groups (TTM, SPD, and non-affected). Clinical subjects (n=69) were compared with controls (n=18) on sleep quality as measured by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). We used partial least squares regression to identify which variables were significantly associated with poor sleep quality among those participants with TTM or SPD.

Clinical subjects had significantly poorer sleep quality than controls. Sleep quality was significantly related to older age, worse perceived stress, lower distress tolerance and greater impulsivity in adults with BFRBs. Poor sleep quality was associated with worse hair pulling symptom severity but not skin picking severity. Higher levels of comorbid mental disorders was also associated with worse sleep, above and beyond the impact of these other variables.

Poor sleep quality appears to be related to multiple variables. JDQ443 Further research is needed to determine causality and to tailor treatment to specific patient needs.

The aim of the study was to elucidate staff experiences of providing home- and health-care to older people living in ordinary housing. This study was part of a larger project investigating the relation between home design and conditions for care in ordinary housing. The data were gathered through focus group interviews with staff in home- and health-care. Three main themes were found according to staff experiences of particular rooms' sizes and proportions, spatial configurations, and aspects to consider when designing new housing. This study contributes important knowledge about essential features of the physical environment for staff providing home- and health-care for older people in their own homes and to aid the development of functionally sustainable housing to minimise injuries to staff.Although many cross-sectional studies have confirmed the positive associations between greenspaces and physical activity, evidence from natural experiments is scarce, especially for large-scale greenspace interventions. In addition, it is unclear how the physical-activity-related benefits of a greenspace intervention vary with distance from residences to greenspaces. We used a natural experimental approach to explore the impact on physical activity of a large-scale greenway intervention, namely the East Lake greenway, in Wuhan, China. Two waves of survey data (before and after the intervention in 2016 and 2019, respectively) were collected from 1020 participants residing in 52 neighbourhoods at different distances (0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5 km) from the 102-km-long greenway. The results obtained using difference-in-difference models indicated that the greenway intervention had positive effects on both moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and overall physical activity (MET-minutes/week) after controlling for individual and neighbourhood covariates.
