To analyze the risk factors for postoperative mortality of the elderly patients with femoral neck fracture undergoing hemiarthroplasty.
Patients who underwent hemiarthroplasty for femoral neck fractures between January 2011 and December 2015 were enrolled as object. One hundred and nine patients who met the selection criteria were included in the study, and the clinical data were collected, including gender, age, time from admission to surgery, comorbidities, and preoperative hemoglobin level and nutritional status. Univariate analysis and Cox proportional hazard regression model were used to screen the risk factors for postoperative mortality.
The 1-year and 2-year mortalities were 6.4% (7/109) and 17.4% (19/109), respectively. GDC0879 Univariate analysis showed that the age, preoperative hemoglobin level and nutritional status were the influencing factors of postoperative mortality in the elderly patients with femoral neck fractures treated with hemiarthroplasty (

To observe the difference between crenel lateral interbody fusion (CLIF) and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) in the treatment of degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) combined with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS).

To investigate the effectiveness of the modified great toe fibular flap using the distal artery pedicle as reflux vein for repairing distal phalanx finger wound.
Between June 2018 and January 2020, 15 patients who suffered tissue defect of the distal phalanx finger were treated, including 12 males and 3 females, the average age was 40.2 years (range, 24-56 years). All of them were caused by machine crush injury. There were 2 cases of thumb, 6 cases of index finger, 3 cases of middle finger, 3 cases of ring finger, and 1 case of little finger. The defects ranged from 1.7 cm×1.3 cm to 3.0 cm×2.0 cm. The time from injury to admission was 0.6-4 hours, with an average of 2.3 hours. The medial fibular proper digital artery was further dissociated to the distal end and anastomosed with the recipient vein as the reflux vein. The area of flaps ranged from 2.0 cm×1.5 cm to 3.2 cm×2.2 cm.
All the flaps survived without vascular crisis, and the wounds healed by first intention. Except for 1 case that the suture was distal arterial pedicle as a reflux vein can improve the venous drainage of the flap and contribute to increase the success rate of the flap without additional injury.
To explore the feasibility of using indocyanine green (ICG) angiography to detect brachial artery perforators, and the clinical application of brachial artery perforator propeller (BAPP) flaps to repair soft tissue defects of the trunk and upper limbs.
Between August 2016 and February 2019, ICG angiography was used to detect the perforating vessels of the brachial artery muscle septum, and the BAPP flaps were cut out with the detected perforating vessels as the pedicle to repair 19 cases of trunk and upper limb soft tissue defects. There were 12 males and 7 females, with an average age of 28.6 years (range, 5-66 years). Etiologies included the post-burn scar in 10 cases, soft-tissue sarcoma in 5 cases, congenital melanocytic nevi in 2 cases, chronic chest wall ulcer in 1 case, and malignant melanoma in 1 case. Defects located in axilla in 8 cases, chest wall in 4 cases, elbow in 5 cases, and shoulder in 2 cases. The area of the defect ranged from 15 cm×3 cm to 20 cm×8 cm. Pre-transfer tissue expansion wassed for the repair of skin and soft tissue defects in the chest wall, axilla, shoulder, and elbow joint.
To investigate the effectiveness of the nose ring drain (NRD) technique combined with Ilizarov circular external fixation in treatment of Gustilo ⅢA Pilon fracture.
Between March 2017 and December 2019, 17 patients with Gustilo ⅢA Pilon fractures were admitted and treated with NRD technique combined with Ilizarov circular external fixation. Among them, there were 11 males and 6 females; the age ranged from 24 to 63 years, with an average of 38.2 years. There were 3 cases of traffic accident injury, 13 cases of falling injury, and 1 case of penetrating injury. There were 13 cases of emergency admittance and 4 cases of wound infection after surgical treatment. Furthermore, there were 2 cases of fibula fractures and 3 cases of lateral malleolus fractures.
All patients were followed up 8-12 months, with an average of 9.9 months. All wounds healed by first intention, and 4 patients with preoperative infection had no recurrence during the follow-up.
