At present, the surveillance strategy for premalignant esophageal lesions in China is based solely on the pathologic diagnosis in Lugol's chromoendoscopy (LCE). In this study, we sought to determine the degree to which various unstained features under LCE may lead to improved ability to predict the risk of progression in esophageal lesions.

The number of colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissections (ESDs) for early colorectal cancer is expected to increase in the future; therefore, cost reduction is a clinically important issue. The SOUTEN snare (Kaneka Medics, Tokyo, Japan) is a novel multifunctional snare developed for hybrid ESD at a low price. If ESD can be performed safely using the SOUTEN snare, the same therapeutic effect can be obtained as with conventional ESD at a lower cost. The aim of this prospective, pilot, clinical feasibility study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ESD using the SOUTEN snare (SOUTEN-ESD).
From October 2018 to January 2019, 119 consecutive patients (121 ESD procedures, 137 colorectal neoplasms) were prospectively enrolled and treated by SOUTEN-ESD at NTT Medical Center Tokyo and Omori Red Cross Hospital. The outcomes of SOUTEN-ESD were evaluated.
Among 137 neoplasms, SOUTEN-ESD was completed in all cases. No cases required conversion to hybrid ESD or to a dedicated ESD device. The mean procedure time was 26.1 ± 14.3 minutes. To evaluate the impact of cardiovascular, metabolic and smoking related risk factors on recurrence in patients with buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty for anterior urethral strictures.

To perform a global survey assessing the role of and the attitudes toward media platforms amongst training Urologists METHODS We distributed a 21-item online survey on social medial (SoMe) and other media platforms to current Urology trainees by email via individual institutions and multiple Urological associations. The survey acquired data including baseline characteristics, the role of and attitudes toward SoMe and other media platforms in training and assessed the prevalence of Social Media Disorder (SMD) based on the validated 9-item SMD Scale. Three hundred and seventy-two urology trainees in 6 continents participated in the survey. Overall, 99.4% used SoMe and 27.3% listened to healthcare-focused podcasts. Most trainees (85.5%) are using guideline apps for education purposes, with the top 3 most utilized apps being the EAU, AUA, and UpToDate applications. There was mixed sentiment regarding the impact of SoMe on the patient-physician relationship, wherein most felt it challenges the doctor's authority (56.
