Therefore, the present study was designed to evaluate the reproductive as well as metabolic endocrinological profiles in 2400 h in intact adult mithun bulls during different seasons (winter, spring, summer and autumn) to know the rhythmic chagement in the present location.We evaluated the effect of supplementation of different concentrations of bovine follicular fluid (FF) during in vitro maturation (IVM) on oocyte development and blastocyst quality in group and individual culture conditions. To do so, in vitro maturation medium (TCM-199 with 20 ng/mL epidermal growth factor and 50 μg/mL gentamycin) was supplemented with 0 (control), 1, 5, or 10% of FF. Follicular fluid was collected from slaughterhouse-derived ovaries, selecting follicles between 12 and 20 mm in diameter. Oocytes were either produced in groups or individually matured, fertilized, and cultured to the blastocyst stage, allowing for separate follow-up of each oocyte. Development (cleavage and blastocyst rates) among experimental groups were fitted in mixed-effects models, and blastocyst quality parameters (assessed via differential apoptotic staining) were evaluated in mixed linear regression models. We also assessed the cumulus expansion (prior and after maturation) for individual culture conditions, and their the other groups (P ˂ 0.05), with a 3-fold increase compared to control. In conclusion, 5% of FF supplementation during IVM improved the cumulus expansion and the blastocyst development and quality in an individual culture system. However, FF supplementation during maturation in a group culture system did not increase development, but it modestly improved some embryo quality aspects when 5 or 10% of FF was added.

Intoxication is a common presenting complaint in emergency departments (ED), but many patients with intoxication do not need emergency care. Three screens (BLINDED, Brown, and San Francisco) attempt to determine which intoxicated patients can be triaged to a lower level of care.

Observational multi-center cohort study of patients presenting to one of three ED with complaints consistent with acute intoxication. When a qualifying patient was brought to the emergency department, a team member interviewed the triaging provider. Interviews covered all three screens and the provider's gestalt. Receiver operating curve (ROC) analysis was used to determine which screen performed best. Cases were reviewed to determine need for emergency care.

Of the 199 subjects studied, 91% (181/199) were male and were 50years old on average (SD=12years). Of the 55 subjects tested (28%), their average alcohol level was 251mg/dL (SD=146mg/dL). Only 117 subjects (59%) had complete information for inclusion in the final comparison of screens. Provider gestalt performed best (AUC=0.69), but there were no meaningful differences between any of the screens (AUC=0.62-0.66, p>0.05 for all comparisons). Inability to sit up was sensitive for needing emergent care (88%), but it was non-specific (17%). Similarly, signs of trauma were specific (99%) for ED care, but insensitive (18%).

The present study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of depression in Iranian children.

This meta-analysis was registered in PROSPERO with code (CRD42020216632) and performed based on the MOOSE protocol and PRISMA guidelines. Title and abstract of articles were searched without time limit until April 2020 in international databases PubMed/Medline, Scopus, Embase, Science Direct, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, EBSCO, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Iranian databases.

In 34 studies with a sample size of 23,779 Iranian children, the prevalence of depression was estimated 42.3 % (95 %CI 34.9-50.0). Prevalence of depression in girls in 20 studies with a sample size of 11,170 was estimated 42.1 % (95 %CI 32.7-52.1) and the prevalence of depression in males in 20 studies with a sample size of 4678 was estimated 29.6 % (95 %CI 21.2-39.7). The odds ratio of female to male depression was 1.33 (95 %CI 1.07-1.65, P < 0.011). Prevalence of mild, moderate, major and deep depression was 20.3 % (95 %CI 16.4-24.9), 15.0 % (95 %CI 11.3-19.7), 14.5 % (95 %CI 10.8-19.1), and 4.3 % (95 %CI 1.8-9.8), respectively. In subgroup analysis for prevalence of depression in Iranian children, the variables of geographical area (P = 0.258), quality of studies (P = 0.186), type of questionnaire (P = 0.907), sample size (P = 0.500) and year of studies (P = 0.538) were not significant, but subgroup analysis of province (P < 0.001) and school grade (P < 0.001) were significant.

These findings emphasize the importance of identifying and providing treatment to children who are most in need.Asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (AF4) hyphenated with inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) has been widely used to characterize metal containing particles. This study demonstrates the advantages of coupling AF4 with ICP-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ICP-TOFMS) in standard and single particle modes to determine size distribution, elemental composition, and number concentration of composite particles. The coupled system was used to characterize two complex particle mixtures. The first mixture consisted of particles extracted from micro-alloyed steels with two size populations of different elemental composition. The second mixture consisted of particles extracted from soil spiked with various engineered nanoparticles (ENPs). The equivalent hydrodynamic sizes of individual micro-alloyed steel particles were up to 6 times larger than the sizes determined by single particle (sp)-ICP-TOFMS. The larger AF4 sizes were attributed to the presence of a surface coating, which is not reflected in the core size determined by sp-ICP-TOFMS. Two particle populations could not be separated by AF4 due to their broad size distributions but were resolved by sp-ICP-TOFMS using their unique elemental signatures. Multi-angle light scattering and ICP-TOFMS signals of soil suspensions increased with the spiked ENP concentrations. However, only after conducting full element screening and single particle fingerprinting by ICP-TOFMS could this increase be attributed to enhanced extraction efficiency of natural particles and the risk for false conclusions be eliminated. This study aimed to assess the interaction among species, time-of-day, and the soil water potential (ΨW) on biochemical and physiological characteristics of cladodes of Opuntia species. link2 Three-week-old cladodes were harvested at 700 a.m. and 300 p.m. from plants with or without irrigation for 30 d (-0.17 and -5.72 MPa soil ΨW), from O. albicarpa, O. link3 ficus-indica, O. hyptiacantha, O. megacantha, and O. streptacantha. The experimental design was a factorial 5 x 2 x 2 (species, sampling time and soil ΨW). The experimental unit was one cladode per plant, and six repetitions were evaluated. Total acids, glucose, fructose, sucrose, starch, total phenolics, free amino acids, and soluble proteins concentrations were evaluated, as well as acid invertase and neutral invertase activities. The interaction among species x soil ΨW and species x time of the day was significant (P ≤ 0.05) in all variables evaluated. An exception was the species x soil ΨW on starch concentration (P = 0.1827). The potentiality of humic acids (HA) to act as a eustressor has been scarcely explored. The present study aims to evaluate how HA with different structural characteristics induce differently, a eustress state in rice plants through the regulation of photosynthesis. The photosynthetic performance index showed an initial eustress state in plant by HA application characterized by reduction in photosynthesis followed by an increase in photosynthetic efficiency. The HA as a chemical eustressor triggering changes in plant metabolism indicate that the interaction of HA with root system induces a roots growth stimulus preceded by an initial positive stress. The eustress caused by HA is differentiated and is related to its chemical-physics characteristics. The HAVC, with a predominance of CAlkyl-(O,N), CAlkyl-di-O, CAromatic-O structures and greater polarity, stimulated the accumulation of N-NO3- and of soluble sugars in the sheath, increase carbohydrates content in the root and the root emission, resulting in higher total biomass production. The HASOIL, with a predominance of CCOOH-(H,R), CAlkyl-O, CAromatic-H,R structures and greater hydrophobicity caused a decrease in N-NH4+ and N-amine. The HARN, with a predominance of CAlkyl-O, CAlkyl-H,R, and CO, characterized by average polarity, caused an increase in photosynthetic pigment and N-NH4+ content. These results are keys to understand that quality of soil organic matter is related to plant development and that HA are efficient proxies for elucidate its function in natural environments.
