The role of portal vein resection for pancreatic cancer is well established but not for pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms. Evidence from studies providing information on long-term outcome after venous resection in pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms patients is lacking.
This is a multicenter retrospective cohort study comparing pancreaticoduodenectomy with vein resection with standard pancreaticoduodenectomy in patients with pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms. The primary endpoint was to evaluate the long-term survival in both groups. Progression-free survival and overall survival were calculated using the method of Kaplan and Meier, but a propensity score-matched cohort analysis was subsequently performed to remove selection bias and improve homogeneity. The secondary outcome was Clavien-Dindo ≥3.

PATIENT SUMMARY New data from trials of immune checkpoint inhibitors for advanced kidney cancer confirm a survival benefit with the combination of cabozantinib plus nivolumab and pembrolizumab plus axitinib and ipilimumab plus nivolumab. These combination therapies are recommended as first-line treatment for advanced kidney cancer.

To compare intraoperative and short-term postoperative outcomes between the da Vinci Xi and SP robots for patients undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP) in a referral center.
Data were prospectively collected for patients undergoing RP from June 2019 to April 2020 in a single center. The da Vinci SP was used for 71 patients and the da Vinci Xi for 875 patients. After propensity score (PS) matching, two groups of 71 patients were selected for the comparative study.

Radical perineal prostatectomy (RPP) has been revived with the advent of single-port (SP) robotic surgery. However, its interest and precise role need to be evaluated and better defined.
To describe in detail the technique of SP-RPP and compare initial perioperative outcomes with those of multiport robot-assisted transperitoneal radical prostatectomy (MP-RARP).
From October 2018 to June 2020, perioperative data of 26 consecutive patients who underwent SP-RPP for localized prostate cancer (PCa) in a single institution were prospectively entered into an institutional review board-approved database. Data of 86 consecutive patients treated from September 2017 to September 2018 with MP-RARP by the same surgeon, before the beginning of the SP experience, were used as comparators.

The flexural strength and modulus of elasticity were measured using a three-point bending setup, according to ISO 4049. The shrinkage force was assessed based on a method described by Watts et al. using a universal testing machine.
