0·1% [0·02-0·3%] were double positive for anti-N and anti-S antibodies (rapid test negative).

We find no evidence for significant SARS-CoV-2 circulation in Lao PDR before September 2020. This likely results from early decisive measures taken by the government, social behavior, and low population density. High anti-N /low anti-S seroprevalence in bat/wildlife contacts may indicate exposure to cross-reactive animal coronaviruses with threat of emerging novel viruses.

We developed an online network pharmacology-based drug repositioning platform, COVID-CDR (http//vafaeelab.com/COVID19repositioning.html), that enables a visual and quantitative investigation of the interplay between the drug primary targets and the SARS-CoV-2-host interactome in the human protein-protein interaction network. COVID-CDR prioritizes drug combinations with potential to act synergistically through different, yet potentially complementary pathways. It provides the options for understanding multi-evidence drug-pair similarity scores along with several other relevant information on individual drugs or drug pairs. Overall, COVID-CDR is the first-of-its-kind online platform that provides a systematic approach for pre-clinical in silico investigation of combination therapies for treating COVID-19 at the fingertips of the clinicians and researchers.

To report a case of ovarian stimulation for the purposes of oocyte cryopreservation in a transgender man without cessation of long-term testosterone therapy.

Report of a unique case of fertility preservation through ovarian stimulation and oocyte cryopreservation in a transgender man who had been on testosterone therapy for 18 months before treatment. The patient elected to continue testosterone therapy throughout ovarian stimulation and oocyte retrieval. To our knowledge, there have not been any published reports of patients undergoing oocyte cryopreservation while continuing long-term testosterone therapy.

Private fertility clinic with university affiliation.

A 20-year-old transgender man undergoing oocyte cryopreservation before gonadectomy.

Fertility preservation through oocyte cryopreservation.

This patient had a robust response to ovarian gonadotropin stimulation. Leuprolide acetate was used for final oocyte maturation to minimize ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome risk.

Cryopreservation of 22 mature oocytes.

Cryopreservation of mature oocytes is possible for patients on continued long-term testosterone therapy. The impact of long-term testosterone therapy on markers of ovarian reserve, reproductive potential, and long-term reproductive outcomes have yet to be elucidated and further studies are needed in this area.

To report the first case of secondary azoospermia after sleeve gastrectomy.

Case report.

Academic male infertility clinic.

A 33-year-old man with secondary azoospermia and primary testicular failure with testosterone deficiency after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

Hormonal therapy with anastrozole for 10 months and diagnostic testicular biopsy.

Semen analyses and testicular histopathology.

Non-obstructive azoospermia persisted at 20 months after surgery despite hormonal therapy with anastrozole. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/elsubrutinib.html Testicular histopathology revealed the presence of Sertoli cells only.

Although further research is need to determine the relationship between sleeve gastrectomy and secondary infertility, men should be informed of the potentially deleterious effects of this surgery on semen parameters.

To examine the changes in AMH levels longitudinally over time and their relationship with both body composition, particularly abdominal adiposity, and milestones of pubertal development in female children.

Secondary analysis of a prospective, longitudinal study.

University affiliated research center and laboratories.

Eighty-nine females were examined between 1990 and 2015 to study child growth and development.

Demographic, anthropometric, growth, and pubertal milestone data with serum samples stored and subsequently analyzed for AMH.

Longitudinal change in AMH and predicted AMH levels based on body composition, age, and pubertal milestones including, pubarche, thelarche, and menarche.

Natural log-transformed AMH (AMH

) levels appeared to have a nonlinear relationship with age, decreasing between 10 and 14 years of age, increasing until 16 years. A mixed effect linear model demonstrated that increased abdominal adiposity (waist/height ratio, WHtR) was significantly associated with the predicted increased AMH

levels (β=1.37). As females progressed through the Tanner stages, the model predicted decreasing AMH

values when adjusting for age and WHtR.

Declining AMH levels during puberty may not be reflective of diminished ovarian reserve as observed in adults, but may suggest a permissive role of AMH in the activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis.
