Slot missions are an excellent opportunity to earn equipment weapons, gear and much more. But they're also difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a specific slot that lets you carry pistols into a mission. Some players use this to aid in achieving certain goals and targets, particularly those who want to go for Suit Only. Some players make use of the extra pistol to close the gap. If you are using this slot, you need to keep in mind that you'll need to click on the corresponding pistol category button, like the alternate slot 2 for machine guns, in order to select the category of your choice. Major Expedition and Adept Rider are in use, making it simpler to use. This combo also adds damage from Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as it is in the slot.

Smuggled Item Slot





The smuggled items slot is a good feature for allowing players to bring tools and weapons, however it could use a better affordance. It's currently designed as pistols, that makes it difficult to distinguish the smuggled item slot from other slots for gear.

The smuggle slots can be used to store a range of items ranging from concussion devices to explosives for weapons to more subtle concussions. The items that are smuggled are different from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that conceal small objects in the scenery, and objects directly.

Mission planning is an option in episodic missions. It allows players to discover different starting points, smuggled objects, and gear slots before they enter the map. These options for planning expand as players progress through challenges and unlock higher Mission Mastery levels. This lets players plan the perfect mission for each challenge.

Gear Slot

In the beginning of the game, players will notice that their gear slots quickly get full, resulting in the common "Your Gear Slots are full" message that prevents Max from picking new equipment until old items are cleared or a larger space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for completing challenging missions. However, as the majority of these challenges are scattered around the globe and are easily missed, it can take an extended time to obtain the maximum number of inventory slots in the game.

Each player has up to five different kinds of gear in their five Gear Slots. These are to be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each gear item (except the Pistol) occupies one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like Grenades that are of the same type) only takes up one Gear Slot.

Agency pick-ups

As you advance through the Mission Mastery levels you unlock different agency pickups on the map. These locations let you keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot, and retrieve them later.

These pickups can be very useful if your mission requires you to pass through a frisk or you have a weapon with you that might otherwise raise suspicion. You can only hide one item per game at a location that is a pickup for the agency.
