Changing from the conventional practice of surgical education to a structured evidence-based format requires a transformative process in all the levels of surgical practice encompassing trainees and trainers. Equally important is providing an optimal environment to review the evidence and deliver the surgical teaching and incorporate effective assessment tools to monitor the process. Standard methodology was adopted for assessing the different parameters of carbon related information to enumerate the status of carbon storage and its trend in sustaining the ecosystem of the area. The current research displays the annual increment and carbon dynamics in various vegetation components and levels. Trees, shrubs, and herbs help to fix atmospheric carbon in a variety of forms, including AGC, BGC, and TC. The concentration of carbon-fixing potential was measured on an annual and seasonal basis, with herbs having the highest mean annual increment, followed by shrubs and trees. The present study aimed to analyse immune gene expression in a co-culture of CyHV-2-sensitized goldfish peripheral blood leukocytes (PBLs) with CyHV-2-infected fantail goldfish fin cell lines (FtGF). After 2 weeks, PBLs were collected and co-cultured with CyHV-2-infected FtGF cells keeping both uninfected FtGF cells and PBL control groups. After 2 days of co-culture, WST-1 assay for cell proliferation was performed at 450 nm during the 2nd, 4th and 6th days of co-culture. The results showed a significant increase (p less then 0.05) in cell density in CyHV-2-infected PBL and virus-infected FtGF cells during the 4th day post co-culture which confirmed effector cell generation. Expressions of few immune genes were checked taking RNA samples of CyHV-2-induced PBLs post co-culture with infected FtGF cells along with uninfected FtGF cells as control group at different time periods (2nd, 4th and 6th days) in triplicate. Much of the prior research on child ER has focused on early development using cross-sectional designs. The current study addresses these gaps by using a longitudinal design to examine individual differences of ER at two times points in middle childhood. We examined the development of children's ER by testing hypotheses about the interplay of parent response to emotions and household chaos in the prediction of individual differences in children's ER. Participants were the mothers of children at 6 and 9 years of age among 224 families in a socioeconomically diverse sample that was part of an ongoing longitudinal study. Mothers completed questionnaires regarding themselves, their children, and their home environment. Mothers' reports of better child ER at both time points were positively associated with mothers' more supportive responses and negatively associated with mothers' less non-supportive responses, as well as lower household chaos. Chaos statistically moderated the link between non-supportive parental responses to emotion and child ER, but only at 6 years of age. The strength of the link between child ER and non-supportive parental responses to emotions was strong only at lower levels of household chaos. This paper proposes a non-integer order model to describe the dynamics of CoViD-19 in a standard population. The model incorporates the reinfection rate in the individuals recovered from the disease. Numerical simulations are performed for different values of the order of the fractional derivative and of reinfection rate. The results are discussed from a biological point of view.The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic in early 2020. A comprehensive understanding of the epidemiological characteristics of this virus is crucial to limit its spreading. Therefore, this research applies artificial intelligence-based models to predict the prevalence of the COVID-19 outbreak in Egypt. These models are long short-term memory network (LSTM), convolutional neural network, and multilayer perceptron neural network. They are trained and validated using the dataset records from 14 February 2020 to 15 August 2020. The results of the models are evaluated using the determination coefficient and root mean square error. The LSTM model exhibits the best performance in forecasting the cumulative infections for one week and one month ahead. Finally, the LSTM model with the optimal parameter values is applied to forecast the spread of this epidemic for one month ahead using the data from 14 February 2020 to 30 June 2021. The total size of infections, recoveries, and deaths is estimated to be 285,939, 234,747, and 17,251 cases on 31 July 2021. This study could assist the decision-makers in developing and monitoring policies to confront this disease.Millions of positive COVID-19 patients are suffering from the pandemic around the world, a critical step in the management and treatment is severity assessment, which is quite challenging with the limited medical resources. Currently, several artificial intelligence systems have been developed for the severity assessment. However, imprecise severity assessment and insufficient data are still obstacles. To address these issues, we proposed a novel deep-learning-based framework for the fine-grained severity assessment using 3D CT scans, by jointly performing lung segmentation and lesion segmentation. The main innovations in the proposed framework include 1) decomposing 3D CT scan into multi-view slices for reducing the complexity of 3D model, 2) integrating prior knowledge (dual-Siamese channels and clinical metadata) into our model for improving the model performance. We evaluated the proposed method on 1301 CT scans of 449 COVID-19 cases collected by us, our method achieved an accuracy of 86.7% for four-way classification, with the sensitivities of 92%, 78%, 95%, 89% for four stages.
