Multidisciplinary approaches to nutritional care are increasingly emphasized and recommended. However, there is little evidence of how different disciplines work together collaboratively to deliver optimum quality care to adult in-patients. This scoping review aimed to describe the existing literature on multidisciplinary collaboration to identify the various disciplines involved and the features that influence collaborative working in implementing multidisciplinary food and nutritional care with adult in-patients.

Multiple databases were searched, including MEDLINE Complete, Embase, CINAHL Complete, HMIC, and Scopus, from their inception to December 2019. Data were retrieved from eligible studies. A narrative description of findings is reported with respect to the disciplines involved, the aspects of nutritional care explored, and the collaborative processes categorized using the input, process, and outcome framework.

Neonatal jaundice is one of the most common clinical disorders occurred worldwide. About 1.1 million neonates develop jaundice per year globally and the vast majority of them found in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. There is a paucity of evidence on the incidence rate and predictors of neonatal jaundice in Ethiopia. Therefore, this study was aimed at determining the rate and predictors of neonatal jaundice in the northwest, Ethiopia.

Berberine has been found to inhibit the progression of depression disorder, but its specific mechanism is still unclear. MicroRNA (miRNA) is considered to play an important role in the progression of depression. However, it is unclear whether Berberine is involved in the regulation of depression progression through miRNA.

The chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) mice model was constructed. Mice depression behaviors were evaluated by sucrose preference test (SPT) and forced swim test (FST). Quantitative real-time PCR was employed to assess the expression of miR-34b-5p, miR-470-5p and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). The protein expression of BDNF was examined using Western blot analysis. In addition, the viability and apoptosis of hippocampal neurons were determined using cell counting kit 8 assay, flow cytometry and TUNEL assay. The interaction between BDNF and miR-34b-5p or miR-470-5p was verified by dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation assay.

Our data indicated that Berberine could inhibit CUMS mice depression behaviors and enhance hippocampal neurons growth by targeting miR-34b-5p and miR-470-5p. In addition, we found that BDNF was a target of miR-34b-5p and miR-470-5p. Overexpressed BDNF could reverse the regulation of miR-34b-5p and miR-470-5p on CUMS mice depression behaviors and hippocampal neurons growth. Furthermore, Berberine could promote BDNF expression to regulate CUMS mice depression behaviors and hippocampal neurons growth.

The use and the characteristics of the practice of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) in Poland have not been evaluated since 2005, when a nationwide survey revealed its rare utilization (0.11 patients/10,000 inhabitants/year). The aims of this study were to determine the current use of ECT and to compare the findings with those of the previous survey.

Two questionnaires were sent to all 48 inpatient psychiatric centers in Poland. The first one - to units providing ECT to explore its practice, and the second - to units not performing ECT to explore the reasons for not using this treatment.

Nineteen (39.6%) of all psychiatric inpatient centers confirmed the use of ECT. This study investigated the association between MS and the risk of psychiatric disorders.

Using data from the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database from 2000 to 2015, we identified 1066 patients with MS. After adjustment for confounding factors, Fine and Gray's competing risk model was used to compare the risk of psychiatric disorders during 15 years of follow-up.

Of the patients with MS, 531 (4622.86 per 10

person years) developed psychiatric disorders; by contrast, 891 of the 3198 controls (2485.31 per 10

person years) developed psychiatric disorders. Fine and Gray's competing risk model revealed an adjusted hazard ratio (HR) of 5.044 (95% confidence interval = 4.448-5.870,

< 0.001) after adjustment for all the covariates.
