Objective Total knee replacement after previous open reduction and internal fixation for tibial plateau fracture (conversion total knee) increases the complexity of the procedure and the complication rate. However, very little research exists to report on opioid use and cost associated with total knee arthroplasty (TKA) following tibial plateau fracture fixation as compared to primary TKA patients with no history of tibial plateau fracture. This study was conducted to assess the safety and efficacy of a topically applied face serum, MYOWNN™ (Wockhardt Ltd., Mumbai, India). MYOWNN™ is an autologous growth factor concentrate that has been made into a topical face serum. Methods Male and female subjects in the age group between 30 and 55 years (both inclusive) with Fitzpatrick skin type III-V who had not taken any oral or topical treatments for at least four weeks before and any platelet-rich plasma (PRP) based facial trea factor and baseline assessment result as a covariate. All primary and secondary efficacy endpoints were analyzed using Modified Intent-to-Treat (mITT) populations. There are numerous causes for the development of this condition, and some of them are rare. Levetiracetam, an antiepileptic agent, has been speculated as a rare possibility for the development of rhabdomyolysis. In this report, we highlight a case of a 36-year-old gentleman with retinoblastoma since childhood, who was maintained on levetiracetam for two years for epilepsy. He was brought to our hospital with a history of generalized fatigue and unwitnessed seizure. Upon further investigations, he was found to have severe rhabdomyolysis and AKI that required renal replacement therapy. A significant improvement was noticed, then was discharge; in the post-discharge clinic, he was asymptomatic, inflammatory markers improved, and the echocardiogram showed a recovered ejection fraction. An accurate anamnesis, including a proper chronologic gathering of the events, is essential to recognize a vaccine-multisystem inflammatory syndrome; its prompt assessment and therapy would directly improve the outcome.
