This paper presents the quadrature sinusoidal oscillators for a phase sensitive detection (PSD) system. The proposed oscillators are design by using the commercially available ICs (LT1228). The core oscillator consists of three LT1228s two grounded capacitors and one resistor. By adding four resistors without the requirement of additional active devices, the amplitudes of two quadrature waveforms become adjustable. The quadrature output nodes are of low impedance, which can be connected to the impedance sensor or other circuits in a phase sensitive detection system without the need of buffer devices. The amplitudes of the quadrature waveform are equal during the frequency of oscillation (FO) tuning. The frequency of oscillation is electronically and linearly controlled by bias current or voltage without affecting the condition of oscillation (CO). Furthermore, the condition of oscillation is electronically controlled without affecting the frequency of oscillation. The performances of the proposed oscillators are experimentally tested with ±5 voltage power supplies. The frequency of the proposed sinusoidal oscillator can be tuned from 8.21 kHz to 1117.51 kHz. The relative frequency error is lower than 3.12% and the relative phase error is lower than 2.96%. The total harmonic distortion is lower than -38 dB (1.259%). The voltage gain of the quadrature waveforms can be tuned from 1.97 to 15.92. The measurement results demonstrate that the proposed oscillators work in a wide frequency range and it is a suitable choice for an instrument-off-the-shelf device.MicroRNAs are evolutionarily conserved, small non-coding RNAs that play critical post-transcriptional regulatory roles in skeletal muscle development. We previously found that miR-9-5p is abundantly expressed in chicken skeletal muscle. Here, we demonstrate a new role for miR-9-5p as a myogenic microRNA that regulates skeletal muscle development. The overexpression of miR-9-5p significantly inhibited the proliferation and differentiation of skeletal muscle satellite cells (SMSCs), whereas miR-9-5p inhibition had the opposite effect. We show that insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 3 (IGF2BP3) is a target gene of miR-9-5p, using dual-luciferase assays, RT-qPCR, and Western Blotting, and that it promotes proliferation and differentiation of SMSCs. In addition, we found that IGF2BP3 regulates IGF-2 expression, using overexpression and knockdown studies. We show that Akt is activated by IGF2BP3 and is essential for IGF2BP3-induced cell development. PF-06424439 in vivo Together, our results indicate that miR-9-5p could regulate the proliferation and differentiation of myoblasts by targeting IGF2BP3 through IGF-2 and that this activity results in the activation of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in skeletal muscle cells.Mining deformation of roof strata is the main cause of methane explosion, water inrush, and roof collapse accidents amid underground coal mining. To ensure the safety of coal mining, the distributed optical fiber sensor (DFOS) technology has been applied in the 150,313 working face by Yinying Coal Mine in Shanxi Province, north China to monitor the roof strata movement, so as to grasp the movement law of roof strata and make it serve for production. The optical fibers are laid out in the holes drilled through the overlying strata on the roadway roof and BOTDR technique is utilized to carry out the on-site monitoring. Prior to the on-site test, the coupling test of the fiber strain in the concrete anchorage, the calibration test of the fiber strain coefficient of the 5-mm steel strand (SS) fiber, and the test of the strain transfer performance of the SS fiber were carried out in the laboratory. The approaches for fiber laying-out in the holes and fiber's spatial positioning underground the coal mine have been optimized in the field. The indoor test results show that the high-strength SS optical fiber has a high strain transfer performance, which can be coupled with the concrete anchor with uniform deformation. This demonstrated the feasibility of SS fiber for monitoring strata movement theoretically and experimentally; and the law of roof strata fracturing and collapse is obtained from the field test results. This paper is a trial to study the whole process of dynamic movement of the deformation of roof strata. Eventually the study results will help Yinying Coal Mine to optimize mining design, prevent coal mine accidents, and provide detailed test basis for DFOS monitoring technique of roof strata movement.Ferroptosis has emerged as a new type of cell death in different pathological conditions, including neurological and kidney diseases and, especially, in different types of cancer. The hallmark of this regulated cell death is the presence of iron-driven lipid peroxidation; the activation of key genes related to this process such as glutathione peroxidase-4 (gpx4), acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member-4 (acsl4), carbonyl reductase [NADPH] 3 (cbr3), and prostaglandin peroxidase synthase-2 (ptgs2); and morphological changes including shrunken and electron-dense mitochondria. Iron overload in the liver has long been recognized as both a major trigger of liver damage in different diseases, and it is also associated with liver fibrosis. New evidence suggests that ferroptosis might be a novel type of non-apoptotic cell death in several liver diseases including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), alcoholic liver disease (ALD), drug-induced liver injury (DILI), viral hepatitis, and hemochromatosis. The interaction between iron-related lipid peroxidation, cellular stress signals, and antioxidant systems plays a pivotal role in the development of this novel type of cell death. In addition, integrated responses from lipidic mediators together with free iron from iron-containing enzymes are essential to understanding this process. The presence of ferroptosis and the exact mechanisms leading to this non-apoptotic type of cell death in the liver remain scarcely elucidated. Recognizing ferroptosis as a novel type of cell death in the liver could lead to the understanding of the complex interaction between different types of cell death, their role in progression of liver fibrosis, the development of new biomarkers, as well as the use of modulators of ferroptosis, allowing improved theranostic approaches in the clinic.
