World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Depending on the type of upgrade, it can boost the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item gets upgraded, its stats are increased in value. This is the sum of all of an item's leveled-up perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measure of power, and can be found on all tooltips of items. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear since PvP is not available at a lower level. The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell gear players can evaluate the levels of the item. It's an excellent indicator of the quality of an item and how much damage it will be capable of dealing with. The level of the item can be used to compare items when looking at a vendor's inventory.

On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the item's full description, including ilvl. It can also be located by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a few theories about how the item level calculation is carried out. One theory is that the item level is a number derived from a formula that calculates the amount an item's stats are worth. It is based on the fact that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in an item's ilvl calculated, which is often very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

It's not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The degree of the area in which the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste, or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can make or break an item for players. The game utilizes them in a variety of ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon and to motivate players to explore other weapons. The stat mods on an weapon increase the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by the player's level.

Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats of the item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For example, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare tiers can be upgraded many times with higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting a special name to the item.

All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items, which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other options for rerolling.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may select which stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the specified range, unless it's a unique item or a God roll from a boss of a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attaches, or select which stats to boost. Similar to the base equipment, it must be done per item and the interface for item comparison will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player can increase the chance of finding items as well as the properties spawned by loot and the intensity of these properties. It does not, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives players the chance to upgrade their gear in earlier waves and is therefore more valuable in the initial game run as opposed to later ones, since most players prefer more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increase with each new level of item. These can also be enhanced by using anti-materials, such as the Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots, or spined leather (depending on their material type) to increase the value of 40 luck or to boost an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Moreover some items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow, can be equipped to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items are available at the store or made using the correct ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are costly and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their items if it fails.

When you upgrade an item the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading an item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The chance of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The luck of an item can influence the success of an upgrade. Every item has an overall success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above items in the inventory. This could block enchantment effects as well as other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
