36-2.81). The successful recanalization (Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction [TICI] grade 2b to 3) rates on final angiography were 90% and 86.7%, respectively (OR, 0.72, 95% CI, 0.15-3.55). No significant differences were found between the two groups in the occurrence of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage or 90-day mortality.

Our preliminary results did not show the superiority of thrombectomy alone versus standard bridging therapy in patients with ALVO in the anterior circulation who undergo MTB within 4.5 hours. A larger sample size and other randomized controlled trials remain necessary to validate these results.

Parvovirus B19 infection can be associated with a wide spec-trum of clinical manifestations that mainly depends on the clinical background of the patient. Infection causes severe aplastic effects on bone marrow in immunosuppressive patients. Our patient was using Azathioprine for Crohn Disease when she admitted with malaise and fatigue laboratory tests revealed pancytopenia due to Parvovirus B19 infection . But contrary to expectations patients pancytopenia improved spontaneously without any treatment. Although intravenous immuno-globulin treatment is a safe approach waiting spontaneous recovery of bone marrow may be risky but another option.

Serious mental illness is associated with a higher risk of violent interpersonal behavior. Characteristic traits denoting a psychopatho-logical picture such as schizophrenia, depression, a borderline, or narcissistic, antisocial, or paranoid personality disorder, are frequently observed in the personality of those who have committed one or more murders. For example, mass murderers are affected by a delusional syndrome with a persecution fixation, that develops in a subject with a paranoid, anacastic personality disorder. An abnormal mental frame-work develops as a consequence of continual experiences interpreted as traumatic. We present a complex case regarding a double murder whose vic-tims were shot by a 50-year-old neighbor, who underwent a psychiatric evaluation for the assessment of criminal responsibility. In the light of the historical reconstruction of his relation sensitive delusional mindset that triggered the final reaction, his life history, the "key event" and the "triggering environment" (constant conflictual and dysfunctional rela-tions with others) led to the violence. The correct understanding of the reported case demands investigation not only of the clinical, diagnostic and psychodiagnostic aspects, but also of the perpetrator-victim/s, their relational context and the situation where the crime evolves, in order to be able to reconstruct the event in a meaningful manner.

Relapsing polychondritis (RP) is a rare autoimmune disease char-acterized by multi-systemic involvement characterized by recurrent and progressive inflammation of the cartilaginous tissue. Auricular inflammation is a characteristic finding of RP. Anti-tumor necrosis fac-tor alpha (anti-TNF) is a highly effective drug used in the treatment of inflammatory arthritis. There are several case reports showing potential relationship between the RP development and anti-TNF treatment. Here, we present a case of RP in a patient with ankylosing spondylitis under the two different tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors therapy.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the contribution of the CROS system on the head shadow effect in unilateral implant users.

Prospective cross-sectional study, approved by the ethics committee under protocol 2.128.869. Eleven adults with post-lingual deafness users of unilateral Advanced Bionics CI were selected. Speech recognition was evaluated with recorded words presented at 65dBA at 0o azimuth and at 90o on the side contralateral to the CI, with noise at 55dBA, using CI alone and CI + CROS system. The results were analyzed using paired t-test with a 0.05 alpha.

The mean speech recognition scores were significantly better with CI + CROS in relation to the condition of CI alone (p <0.05, p <0.005 and p <0.005 respectively). In the presentation at 0o azimuth, no significant differences were found.

Users of unilateral CI without useful residual hearing for the use of hearing aids or unable to undergo bilateral surgery can benefit from the CROS device for speech recognition, especially when the speech is presented on the side contralateral to the CI.

In children the most common clinical presentation is the juvenile or acute/subacute form, which mainly involves the lymph nodes and in a lesser proportion the gastrointestinal organs. We present the case of a 10-year-old patient, without comorbidities, who presented acute right iliac fossa pain; in addition to a history of 1 month of evolution of diarrhea, fever, weight loss, and hypereosinophilia. Was diagnosed of acute appendicitis due to systemic paracoccidioidomycosis, through histopathology of the cecal appendix and mesenteric lymph nodes. Although systemic paracoccidioidomycosis with involvement of the cecal appendix is rare, it should be considered as part of the differential diagnoses in children and young adults with generalized lymphadenomegaly from endemic areas. The objective of this article is to present the experiences of telehealth in a hospital specialized in mental health in Lima, Peru during 2020. Daclatasvir datasheet In accordance with the provisions such as the temporary closure of face-to-face care and mandatory confinement between the months of March As of December, care was progressively provided through telephone calls, video calls or digital platforms, with 57,398 teleconsultations and telemonitoring, 4411 mental health orientations, 295 teleinterconsultations in psychiatry, 42 teletraining activities and 29 educational sessions in mental health aimed at the general population. We conclude that the implementation of telehealth for the care of the users of the Hermilio Valdizán Hospital contributed to mental health care and reduces the gaps in access to specialized care in psychiatry due to the consequences of COVID-19.This scoping review article seeks to describe the health and work conditions of waste pickers worldwide from the working conditions model of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, through a review of scientific articles published between the years 1999 to 2019. The bibliographic search was carried out manually in PubMed, Taylor and Francis, ScienceDirect, and SAGE. For the article screening process, the Mendeley bibliographic manager was used. The methodological quality was based on a rigorous and serious process respecting the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. 857 records were obtained, of which 88 studies met the inclusion criteria. Most of the studies analyzed had a qualitative approach, based on the application of questionnaires, interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions. The intra-work conditions of the waste picker population are mainly related to situations that affect their work environment, while the non-work conditions that most influence the work performance of waste pickers are associated with their economic and family situation, place of residence, and relationship with the environment. The individual conditions that most affect the health and work of waste pickers are associated with sex, age, and education. From the approach to the working conditions model, this literature review identified and explained the different risk agents and effects on the health of waste pickers around the world as a consequence of their exposure to unsafe and dangerous work environments. The development and production of safe and effective vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) provides hope for controlling the current pandemic. Adverse events following immunization are unwanted responses or unintended events that must be carefully monitored, as all vaccines, including those developed against SARS-CoV-2, are required to meet safety criteria for administration in humans. Information was collected from the PubMed/Medline database during the months of August 2020 to November 2021. Most adverse events reported in clinical trials were mild or moderate; however, thrombotic events associated with some viral vector-based vaccines against COVID-19 were identified in follow-up studies, although completion of the various ongoing studies and post-marketing surveillance is required to determine all potential adverse events, as well as those of special interest. We aimed to determine the prevalence of infection markers in donors of a Peruvian blood bank and to assess whether donor sociodemographic variables are associated with the presence of these markers. An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out in 5942 donors of a blood bank, whose data was collected during 2018. Positivity to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and HTLV I-II was determined, in addition to syphilis and Chagas disease. The prevalence of HIV was 0.81%; for HBV it was 6.19%; for HCV, 0.12%; for HTLV I-II, 0.66%; for Chagas disease, 2.76% and for syphilis it was 1.73%. Several sociodemographic factors were associated with infection markers positivity. The predominant donation type was non-voluntary (96%) and 53% had history of previous donation. The prevalence of infection markers for HIV, HBV, Chagas disease and syphilis in blood donors was high compared to other countries in the region.
