As the name suggests, GE's Profile series targets the consumer who wants to incorporate cutting-edge features in their kitchen. This refrigerator has it all, from a Keurig K cup coffee maker inside the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive, so I expected better.
Aside from that blip however, this refrigerator is a fantastic choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a good amount of frozen food when in comparison to similar models.
Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is typical for a French-door fridge at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker that is tucked away in the left door, but it isn't the largest I've seen.

The drawers are simple to shut and open, but I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food items as well as an storage bin for ice.
Smart InstaView panel is another cool feature of the refrigerator. You can manage the temperature, lighting and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a simple way to keep track of your fridge and manage it, especially when not at home.
The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than the other fridges we tried. This could be due to its greater capacity.
Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. The sunken handles let shorter people open them from the bottom. However, taller people still struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.
The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those looking to blend the look and feel of a French-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. french style fridge freezer is above average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a little less than the top counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it a great option.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't cost you a fortune this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a basic fridge that may not be as eye-catching as some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make it a good choice. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker and a water dispenser.
Another great feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you redirect some of the fridge's cooling power to this area so it can be used to store food items that require extra attention. You can adjust this feature by using an adjustable slider that is located just in the middle of the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've found that the generic settings work better than the specific ones.
In my tests, the temperature of the refrigerator stayed fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a good performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. The fridge can be linked with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.
The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It is capable of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared with glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
