This holds for the concrete specimens proportioned with the EMV method, regardless of different RCA replacement ratios.Spin-dependent tunneling structures are widely used in many spintronic devices and sensors. This paper describes the magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) characteristics caused by the inhomogeneous magnetic field of ferromagnetic layers. The extremely oblate magnetic ellipsoids have been used to mimic these layers. The strong effect of an inhomogeneous magnetic field on the magnetoresistive layers' interaction was demonstrated. The magnetostatic coupling coefficient is also calculated.Ciguatera fish poisoning (CFP) is one of the most frequently encountered seafood poisoning syndromes; it is caused by the consumption of marine finfish contaminated with ciguatoxins (CTXs). selleck compound The majority of CFP cases result from eating fish flesh, but a traditional belief exists among people that the head and viscera are more toxic and should be avoided. Unlike the viscera, scientific data to support the legendary high toxicity of the head is scarce. We prepared tissue samples from the fillet, head, and eyes taken from five yellow-edged lyretail (Variola louti) individuals sourced from Okinawa, Japan, and analyzed the CTXs by LC-MS/MS. Three CTXs, namely, CTX1B, 52-epi-54-deoxyCTX1B, and 54-deoxyCTX1B, were confirmed in similar proportions. The toxins were distributed nearly evenly in the flesh, prepared separately from the fillet and head. Within the same individual specimen, the flesh in the fillet and the flesh from the head, tested separately, had the same level and composition of toxins. We, therefore, conclude that flesh samples for LC-MS/MS analysis can be taken from any part of the body. However, the tissue surrounding the eyeball displayed CTX levels two to four times higher than those of the flesh. The present study is the first to provide scientific data demonstrating the high toxicity of the eyes.Automatic modulation classification (AMC) is playing an increasingly important role in spectrum monitoring and cognitive radio. As communication and electronic technologies develop, the electromagnetic environment becomes increasingly complex. The high background noise level and large dynamic input have become the key problems for AMC. This paper proposes a feature fusion scheme based on deep learning, which attempts to fuse features from different domains of the input signal to obtain a more stable and efficient representation of the signal modulation types. We consider the complementarity among features that can be used to suppress the influence of the background noise interference and large dynamic range of the received (intercepted) signals. Specifically, the time-series signals are transformed into the frequency domain by Fast Fourier transform (FFT) and Welch power spectrum analysis, followed by the convolutional neural network (CNN) and stacked auto-encoder (SAE), respectively, for detailed and stable frequency-domain feature representations. Considering the complementary information in the time domain, the instantaneous amplitude (phase) statistics and higher-order cumulants (HOC) are extracted as the statistical features for fusion. Based on the fused features, a probabilistic neural network (PNN) is designed for automatic modulation classification. The simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method. It is worth noting that the classification accuracy can reach 99.8% in the case when signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is 0 dB.During the last decade numerous review articles have been published on how concurrent strength and endurance training affect cycling performance. However, none of these have reviewed if there are any sex differences in the effects of concurrent training on cycling performance, and most research in this area has been performed with male cyclists. Thus, the aim of the current paper is to review the scientific literature on the effect of concurrent training on cycling performance in male and female cyclists with a special emphasis on potential sex differences. The results indicate that both male and female cyclists experience a similar beneficial effect from concurrent training on cycling performance and its physiological determinants compared to normal endurance training only. Some data indicate that women have a larger effect on cycling economy, but more studies are needed to explore this further. Furthermore, the adaptations to strength training thought to be responsible for the beneficial effects on cycling performance seem to be very similar between men and women. Interestingly, increased muscle cross-sectional area in the main locomotor muscles seems to be an important adaptation for improved performance, and, contrary to popular belief, cyclists should aim for increased muscle cross-sectional area when adding strength training to their normal training. We conclude that both male and female cyclists can improve their cycling performance by adding strength training to their normal training.Plasmonic optical tweezers with a symmetry-tunable potential well were investigated based on a heterogeneous model of nano-bowtie antennas made of different noble substances. The typical noble metals Au and Ag are considered as plasmonic supporters for excitation of hybrid plasmonic modes in bowtie dimers. It is proposed that the plasmonic optical trapping force around a quantum dot exhibits symmetry-broken characteristics and becomes increasingly asymmetrical with increasing applied laser electric field. Here, it is explained by the dominant plasmon hybridization of the heterogeneous Au-Ag dimer, in which the plasmon excitations can be inconsistently modified by tuning the applied laser electric field. In the spectrum regime, the wavelength-dependent plasmonic trapping potential exhibits a two-peak structure for the heterogeneous Au-Ag bowtie dimer compared to a single-peak trapping potential of the Au-Au bowtie dimer. In addition, we comprehensively investigated the influence of structural parameter variables on the plasmonic potential well generated from the heterogeneous noble nano-bowtie antenna with respect to the bowtie edge length, edge/tip rounding, bowtie gap, and nanosphere size. This work could be helpful in improving our understanding of wavelength and laser field tunable asymmetric nano-tweezers for flexible and non-uniform nano-trapping applications of particle-sorting, plasmon coloring, SERS imaging, and quantum dot lighting.
