This was a thorough literature review, following Whittemore and Knafl's method and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses´ guidelines (2005) and adopting the Oxford Center for Evidence-Based Classification Medicine-Levels of Evidence (2011). The literature search included databases from Virtual Health Library, Cochrane Library, Excerpta Medica Database, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online, PubMed, SciVerse Scopus, The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, and Web of Science. It was conducted between October and December 2019 and updated in April 2022.

Upon our first analysis of the 254 articles that could correlate to the present study, we concluded that 15 of them are of foremost relevance. The nursing outcomes found are correlated with skin care, position in hospital bed, pressure injury prevention, self-care assiple trauma patients who have altered mobility, identifying the real needs of these patients.

The therapeutic landscape has widened and the therapeutic strategy should be based on new sequences and combinations, still debated.

Herein, we provide an overview of current approved pharmacological treatments in patients with NENs, with the aim to summarize evidence of efficacy of the main different options in GEP and pulmonary NENs, principally focusing on somatostatin analogs (SSAs), targeted therapy with everolimus and sunitinib, peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) and chemotherapy. We discuss biological rationale and toxicities, including current indications according to differentiation and placement in the therapeutic algorithm, clinical trials, and combinations. Furthermore, we recommend areas for further research.

Arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the preferred angioaccess for haemodialysis but suffers from a high stenosis rate, juxta-anastomotic stenosis (JAS) being the most frequent. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) of JAS would have some advantage (such as mini-invasive and vein sparing treatment), but higher recurrence rate is observed as compared to surgery. We report results of juxta anastomotic stenosis PTA using the 'double guide technique' (DGT) as described by Turmel-Rodrigues, in a selected cohort from our Vascular Access Centre.

From January to June 2018, 25 consecutive patients were treated by DGT. By means of retrograde access through the outflow vein by a 6 F introducer, two guide wires were navigated one into proximal radial artery (GW1), the other into distal artery (GW2). GW2 was used to dilate juxta-anastomotic vein and anastomotic area with 6 mm high-pressure balloon, while by GW1 juxta-anastomotic artery was dilated with 4 mm semi-compliant balloon. Mean diameter of balloons were 6.7 and 4.
