Endometriosis is characterized by a long interval between onset of symptoms and diagnosis. Detailed information about the patients' perspective on the diagnostic delay of endometriosis is scarce. The aim of this study was to identify strengths and weaknesses in the diagnostic process of endometriosis from the patients' perspective.
Qualitative study with semi-structured focus groups. Participants were women between 18 and 45 years old with a recently confirmed diagnosis. The focus groups were audio recorded and fully transcribed. Grounded theory methodology was applied for data analysis.
Six focus groups were organized, in which 23women participated. Mean time from start of symptoms to diagnosis was 8.5 years. Dominant themes were knowledge about normal menstruation and endometriosis, being believed and acknowledged by medical staff, and collaboration between health care providers including fast referral to a gynaecologist. Barriers to a timely referral and diagnosis were young age, normalization of symptoms and a lack of awareness in general practitioners. Facilitating factors included adequate knowledge and skills of the general practitioner, a desire for pregnancy and persisting in a request for specialist consultation by the patient.
The diagnostic process of endometriosis is hampered by delayed consultation, inadequate appraisal of symptoms by general practitioners and the interaction between patients and medical professionals. Efforts should be made to increase public awareness and to provide medical staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to adequately acknowledge presented symptoms.

To evaluate the diagnostic performance of the prostate health index (PHI) and of the percentage of [-2]proPSA (%[-2]proPSA) calculated with total and free PSA from non-Beckman Coulter manufacturers (Roche and Abbott), and compare it with the fully Beckman Coulter [-2]proPSA derivatives.
In this study, 237 men (PSA 2-10μg/L) scheduled for prostate biopsy were enrolled. %[-2]proPSA and PHI were calculated with total and free PSA from three manufacturers. Beckman Coulter PSA and [-2]proPSA were performed on the Access 2 analyzer (Hybritech calibration). Roche PSA was performed on the cobas e411 and the Abbott PSA on the Architect i2000sr. Statistical analysis was performed, considering prostate cancer (PCa) as the outcome.
Univariate analysis showed that all indices were predictors of cancer, irrespective of the manufacturer (p<0.001). The AUC was similar for all manufacturers, both for %[-2]proPSA (Beckman Coulter 0.756; Roche 0.770; Abbott 0.756) and PHI (Beckman Coulter 0.776; Roche 0.785; Abbott 0.778). When considering the cutoffs that allowed 90% sensitivity, [-2]proPSA derivatives calculated with Roche and Abbott PSA had similar specificities and predictive values when compared to Beckman Coulter. The percentage of missed cancers (8-9%) was the same between manufacturers. The percentage of spared biopsies was significantly higher with Roche's PHI (21.0%) and Abbott's PHI (20.6%) than with Beckman Coulter's PHI (17.2%).
In the PSA range between 2 and 10μg/L, [-2]proPSA derivatives maintain their diagnostic performance in PCa detection when calculated with PSA from Roche and Abbott. This can lead to a broader implementation of these indices in clinical laboratories worldwide.

When necroptosis happens, damage associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) enter into extracellular area through the ruptured cytomembrane, followed by the disordered tissue hemeostasis. In recent years, many researches showed that necroptosis playimportant roles in a few bone related diseases, such as osteoporosis, osteonecrosis, osteosarcoma, etc. Thus, we try to briefly review the researches in this field.
To compare the clinical efficacy of distal radius T-plate combined with suture anchor and distal clavicle anatomical locking plate combined with suture anchor in the treatment of Neer Ⅱb distal clavicle fracture.
From June 2014 to June 2018, 42 patients with Neer Ⅱb distal clavicle fractures were retrospectively analyzed. According to different surgical methods, they were divided into the observation group (T-shaped plate combined with suture anchor) and the control group (anatomical locking plate combined with suture anchor). There were 22 patients in the observation group and 20 patients in the control group. In the observation group, there were 13 males and 9 females, aged from 22 to 70 (45.78± 14.44) years old, 12 cases on the left side and 10 cases on the right side, 8 cases of traffic accident injury and 14 cases of fall. In the control group, there were 12 males and 8 females, aged from 24 to 66 (44.17±15.58) years, 13 cases on the left side and 7 cases on the right side, 6 cases of traffic accidenry, which provides another feasible treatment scheme for clinic.
The two methods can obtain satisfactory results in the treatment of Neer Ⅱb distal clavicle fractures, especially suitable for patients with comminuted distal clavicle fractures or osteoporosis; the clinical effect of the treatment of NeerⅡb distal clavicle fractures with T type distal radius plate combined with suture anchor is satisfactory, which provides another feasible treatment scheme for clinic.
To construct and identify adenovirus vector co-expressing hBMP2 and hVEGF165 fusion protein which labeled with green fluorescence protein, and laying the foundtion of the effect of hBMP2 and hVEGF165 gene inducing BMMSCs differentiation to osteoblast and bone defect repaired in the body.
BMP2 and VEGF165 gene was amplified from cDNA library by PCR and inserted to the polyclonal site of adenovirus shuttle plasmid pAd-MCMV-GFP. Ad-BMP2- VEGF165 was recombinated and propagated in HEK293 cells by co-transfecting with the constructed recombinant shuttle plasmid pAd-MCMV-BMP2-VEGF165 and adenovirus helper plasmid pBHGloxΔ E1, 3Cre. The recombinant adenovirus was purified and virustiter was determined, and then to research GFP expression and to calculate the adenovirus transfection rate in rabbit BMMSCs.
The recombinant adenovirus vector Ad-BMP2-VEGF165 was successfully constructed by the methods of gene analyzing, colony PCR, Western blotting and observing GFP expression, and the titer of the adenovirus was 1×10
PFU /ml.
Recombinant adenovirus vector containing hBMP2 and hVEGF165 gene was successfully constructed and its high titer was obtained.

To discuss the clinical effect of antibiotic bone cement in the treatment of infectious wound of lower extremity.
From January 2016 to January 2019, 28 patients who had infection wounds of lower extremity were treated by antibiotic bone cement, including 21 males and 7 females with age of 34 to 76 (53.8±16.5) years old. The wound area after the initial debridement was 4 cm×3 cm to 12 cm×8 cm. All patients were treated with the antibiotic bone cement, when infection was controlled and fresh granulation tissue grew on the wound surface, local sutures or skin grafts were performed. The changes of white blood cell (WBC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C reactive protein(CRP) and positive rate of bacterial culture of wound secretions were recorded andcompared before and after 2 weeks of the operation. The healing time, recurrence rate and complications of fresh granulation on wound surface were calculated.
All patients were followed up for 3 to 6(4.3±1.2) months. After the recurrence of diabetic foot wound infection, 3 patients presented different degree of rupture, and the remaining patients had good wound healing. No serious complications such as aggravation of infection and amputation occurred. The WBC, ESR and CRP of the patients were decreased significantly after operation compared with that before operation (9.1±1.2)×109/L vs. (11.4±2.2)×109/L, (23.5±7.6) mm/ h vs. (57.1±14.9) mg/L, (44.2±13.1) mg/L vs. (89.2±26.7) mg/L (
<0.05). The formation time of fresh granulation on the wound surface was 12 to 21(15.6±3.2) days.
The antibiotic bone cement can control infection of lower extremity wound effectively, promote the growth of fresh granulation tissue and wound healing.

To evaluate the biomechanical stability of elastic intramedullary nail in the treatment of pubic ramus fractures by finite element analysis, and to compare the stability of elastic intramedullary nail with cannulated screw intramedullary fixation.
The CT data of the pelvis of a volunteer were selected, and the three-dimensional model of the pelvis was reconstructed by reverse engineering software and the fracture of the pubic ramus fractures was simulated by osteotomy. The hollow nail model, single elastic nail model and double elastic nailmodel were assembled with different implants respectively. The mesh division, material assignment loading and other steps were carried out in the ANSYS software, and then the calculation was submitted.
The overall displacement of the pelvis of the elastic nail model was smaller than that of the cannulated screw model, in which the double elastic nail model had the smallest overall displacement, but the cannulated screw model had the smallest plant displacement and the the overall biomechanical propertiesof hollow nail fixation and double elastic nail fixation, which is better than that of single elastic nail fixation. Elastic nail fixation has the advantages of minimally invasive surgery and good biomechanical stability, so it can be used as a better surgical method for the treatment of pubic ramus fractures.
