034] and anti-metabolite-based immunosuppression protocols (89% vs. 44%, P= 0.011) were associated with low immunogenicity. Importantly, 36% of HTx recipients who were non-responders to the first vaccine dose became S-IgG seropositive in response to the second vaccine dose. Approximately a half of HTx recipients did not generate S-IgG antibodies following SARS-CoV-2 two-dose vaccine.

The generally achieved protection from SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination should be regarded with caution in the population of HTx recipients. The possible benefit of additive vaccine should be further studied.

2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) patients frequently develop QT interval prolongation that predisposes them to Torsades de Pointes and sudden cardiac death. Continuous cardiac monitoring has been recommended for any COVID-19 patient with a Tisdale Score of seven or more. This recommendation, however, has not been validated.

We included 178 COVID-19 patients admitted to a non-intensive care unit setting of a tertiary academic medical center. A receiver operating characteristics curve was plotted to determine the accuracy of the Tisdale Score to predict QT interval prolongation.Multivariable analysis was performed to identify additional predictors.

The area under the curve of the Tisdale Score was 0.60 (CI 95%, 0.46-0.75). Using the cutoff of seven to stratify COVID-19, patients had a sensitivity of 85.7% and a specificity of 7.6%. Risk factors independently associated with QT interval prolongation included a history of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) (OR, 6.42; CI 95%, 1.28-32.13), QTc ≥450ms on admission (OR, 5.90; CI 95%, 1.62-21.50), and serum potassium ≤3.5mmol/L during hospitalization (OR, 4.97; CI 95%, 1.51-16.36).

The Tisdale Score is not a useful tool to stratify hospitalized non-critical COVID-19 patients based on their risks of developing QT interval prolongation. Clinicians should initiate continuous cardiac monitoring for patients who present with a history of ESRD, QTc ≥450ms on admission or serum potassium ≤3.5mmol/L.

To explore perceptions of family sense of coherence among infertile couples and to provide a theoretical interpretation of the comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness of couples' experiences coping with infertility.

Infertility is a devastating experience for many couples and can have long-lasting psychosocial consequences. Family sense of coherence has the potential to facilitate a couple's adjustment to the life crisis of infertility and may provide a useful conceptual lens to understand experiences of infertility.

Sixty-four couples with infertility participated in semi-structured interviews at subfertility clinics. Data were analysed using the constant comparative approach of grounded theory. COREQ guidelines were followed in reporting the study.

Three major themes related to infertility emerged from the interviews comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness. The couples experienced psychological strain while making cognitive sense of infertility. The significance of children, which is embedded in traditional Chinese culture, created a sense of meaning and purpose in couples' lives and motivated them to mobilise both internal and external resources to cope with the demands of infertility and its treatment.

The findings indicate that the salutogenic model of family sense of coherence can contribute to our understanding of the experiences of infertility among Chinese couples.

The results offer a theoretical framework that healthcare professionals can use to help couples cope with the life crisis of infertility by strengthening their sense of family coherence.

To discover the current state of self-management practices and levels of self-efficacy among adults with cancer under treatment in Jeddah City, Saudi Arabia, and to identify their associated factors.

The prevalence of cancer and cancer treatment-related problems is increasing in Saudi Arabia. However, effective cancer care programmes are not provided in this country.

Cross-sectional correlational study.

This study was conducted with a convenience sample of 130 adults with cancer under treatment from May 2020-August 2020 at the largest tertiary care hospital providing cancer care in the western region, Saudi Arabia. The study methods were compliant with the STROBE checklist. Data were collected by Self-Care Inventory, Strategies Used by People to Promote Health, and sociodemographic and clinical surveys. Descriptive statistics and stepwise linear regression analysis were performed.

The total score for self-management practices was 84.38 (SD=13.66) and self-efficacy, as a strong associated factor of sous patient education must be taken into consideration in the cancer management plan.

Enhancing patient's adherence to self-management practices and increase patient's self-efficacy through adopting educational intervention programmes, considering patient's sociodemographic and disease-related characteristics, and continuous patient education must be taken into consideration in the cancer management plan.

This study aimed at describing the job content of general nurses and comparing it to the work of nursing technicians, arranging it for orientation and level of work with things, data or people.

There is limited evidence on the content of the general nurses' and nursing technicians' job in post-transitional countries.

A quantitative analysis was conducted. The study was performed in a Slovenian medical hospital and in primary health centre. The variables were collected observing nursing activities at 10-min intervals.

Forty-three hospital and seven primary health centres' nursing staff participated in this study. A total of 14,584 nursing activities were recorded. The focus of general nurses was on working with data, and the focus of nursing technicians was on working with people (t=18.328; df=34,041; p<.001).

General nurses' and health care technicians' duties differ in content. General nurses work mostly with data, but health care technicians with people. RAD1901 nmr The job content of both profiles differs related to the setting.
