Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative orthopedic disease with multiple pathologic changes in joints that occurs in large population worldwide. No treatment can reverse the progress of OA. Since exosomes were first reported in 1983, researches have been conducted to explore the mechanisms and therapeutic potential of exosomes in treating OA. Exosomes derived from Mesenchymal stem cells have attracted increasingly attention in tackling disease. This article summarizes the current advances and challenges in exosomes for OA, which may provide reference for further research. Recently, cell therapy has garnered much attention as a means of improving cardiac function after injury. Despite years of study, a growing list of failed efficacy trials has led many to question the translatability of preclinical work. In this review, we critically evaluate the evidence supporting the need for transplanted cells to engraft and persist in the injured heart (the cell engraftment hypothesis). We explore how the complex interplay between cell retention, persistence and paracrine potency explain many of the recent cell treatment outcomes. Through this discussion, we outline a framework to understand how future approaches will optimize and personalize the methods, payloads and timing of cardiac cell delivery for the millions of patients worldwide suffering from heart failure. OBJECTIVE This study focuses on the design, synthesis, and antitumor evaluation of phenylureas bearing 5-fluoroindolin-2-one moiety. METHODS Three sets of phenylureas were designed and synthesized and their antiproliferative ability was measured against four human carcinoma cell lines (Hela, Eca-109, A549, and MCF-7) via MTT assay. In vivo anticancer activity was further evaluated in xenograft models of human breast cancer (MCF-7). RESULTS A total oftwenty-one new compounds were synthesized and characterized by means of 1H and 13C NMR as well as HR-MS. Three sets of compounds (1a‒1c, 2a‒2c, and 3a‒3c) were initially constructed, and preliminary antiproliferative activities of these molecules were evaluated against Hela, Eca-109, A549 and MCF-7, highlighting the meta-substituted phenylureas (1a‒1c) as the most cytotoxic set. A series of meta-substituted phenylureas derivatives (1d‒1o) were then designed and synthesized for structure-activity relationship study. Most of the new compounds showed desirable cytotoxicity, among which compound 1g exhibited the most remarkable cytotoxic effects against the tested human cancer cells with IC50 values ranging from 1.47 to 6.79 μM. Further studies showed that compound 1g suppressed tumor growth inhuman breast cancer (MCF-7) xenograft models without affecting the body weight of its recipients. CONCLUSION In this study, twenty-one new compounds, containing the privileged structures of phenylurea and 5-fluoroindolin-2-one, were designed and synthesized. Subsequent structure-activity studies showed that 1g was the most bioactive antitumor agent among all tested compounds, hence a potentially promising lead compound once given further optimization. Any change in the size of the follicle associated with impacted teeth may result in odontogenic cysts or tumors. Golvatinib inhibitor CBCT plays an important role in determining the radiographic features of a lesion and therefore, is very helpful for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. OBJECTIVE This study aims to evaluate radiolucent lesions associated with impacted teeth in terms of age and sex distribution, localization, and comparison with the pathological diagnosis. METHOD In this retrospective study, out of 6758 CBCT images, 400 images revealing radiolucent lesions were detected. The study included only 190 cases (regarding 180 patients) which had a matching histopathological evaluation. Data related to the age and sex of the patients, localization of the lesions, and comparison of them with the pathological diagnosis were recorded and analyzed. RESULTS The most encountered lesions were dentigerous cysts (60%) and odontogenic keratocysts (26.3%). Males were most affected (63.3%). Most of the lesions were found in the left and right posterior mandible and mostly (66.8 %) associated with third molars. Out of 123 radiological diagnoses of dentigerous cyst cases, histopathological diagnoses confirmed 108 cases. Regarding odontogenic keratocyst, histopathological diagnosis confirmed 40 cases out of 48. CONCLUSION Radiological diagnoses of the lesions mostly match with their pathological diagnosis unless their characteristics are changed due to infection. CBCT, as a technique enabling detailed imaging of the involved dental structures, is a helpful instrument for differential diagnosis. A notable use is engaging on Twitter at medical conferences, both for those attending the conference and the global audience who are not able to attend. It is also increasingly used as an educational tool similar to elearning. The objective of this paper is to 1) highlight the impact of using Twitter at cardiovascular congresses as an interactive platform for active learning as compared to passively listening to a presentation; 2) present perspectives from not only clinicians, researchers but also patients on how this information is interpreted; 3) provide recommendations for conference organizers for best practice live tweeting to share the information and knowledge beyond those in attendance; with potential for not only engagement but also educating our global community..
