Developing therapies often require using cancerous tissues, which may come from deceased donors. Tumor banks collect, store, and distribute these donated samples. While tumor banking is more common, factors that contribute to parents' decision and the impact of it on the family are not well understood. The purpose of this hermeneutic study was to understand the meaning and impact of tumor banking for parents of children who have died from cancer. Findings suggest that parents donating their child's tumors unexpectedly found a sense of meaning in their loss. They also found a legacy of their child's life; the living cells in some ways assisted the parents with grief. Aspects of this sensitive conversation and decision are discussed from the perspective of the parents' experiences.

To investigate the effect of angulation of permanent mandibular second molars (MM2) on eruption problems and investigate a new method of measuring MM2 angulation for the diagnosis and evaluation of delayed tooth eruption (DTE) for easy use in dental practice.

A total of 98 patients aged 9-18 years.

Patients with 64 permanent MM2s with delayed eruption problems were included in the study group. JHRE06 The control group consisted of patients with 83 normally erupted teeth. In addition, a sub-group, consisting of 23 patients showing unilaterally delayed eruption of the same teeth, was set as a split-mouth group. All patients with unilateral delayed eruption of second molar teeth were selected from the study group to form the sub-group. Angulations of permanent MM2s were measured on panoramic radiographs with two measurement methods (1) a new method; and (2) a previously accepted method. The comparison of the study and control groups was performed by Mann-Whitney U-test and the split-mouth group was analysed with the paired t-test. The

value was set at 0.05 for statistical significance.

Measurements of the tooth angulation values of the study group were significantly higher than in the control group for both measurement methods (

< 0.001). In addition, in the split-mouth group, angulation values of delayed eruption side were significantly higher than the erupted side (

< 0.001).

Parental affirmation is associated with behavioral health outcomes similar to non-TGD peers. This integrative review synthesizes and appraises evidence regarding experiences of parenting a TGD child in the United States or Canada from 2008 to 2018. Most parents across these 15 studies described affirming their child's gender at time of interview. Parents reported initial interpersonal processes (emotions, concerns, beliefs), sought education (frequently online), and described interactions with family members and professionals that were not always affirming. Parents accessed support groups but described their own well-being as a low priority relative to the child's needs. Parents' own needs for well-being may affect the process of parenting a TGD child and should be explored. Future research should address the experiences of non-parent family members and participants from more diverse backgrounds. Nursing education must consistently address gender affirming care.Loneliness has been associated with multiple negative outcomes. But what contributes to loneliness in the first place? Drawing from the literature on the importance of self-regulatory ability for successful social functioning, the present research explored the role of low self-control as a factor leading to loneliness. A set of four studies (and three additional studies in Supplementary Online Materials) using cross-sectional, experimental, daily diary, and experience sampling methods showed that lower self-control is associated with higher loneliness at both trait and state levels. Why does low self-control contribute to loneliness? Self-control failures that have negative implications for others lead to higher risks for being ostracized by others, which predicts increased feelings of loneliness over time. These results suggest that low self-control, which is often associated with negative intrapersonal outcomes, can have important interpersonal consequences by evoking ostracism, and consequently, loneliness.
