linearly increased d 10 liver Zn and d 10, 69, 79, and 97 plasma Zn concentrations (P ≤ 0.05). A cubic effect of Zn was observed on d 79 liver Zn (P = 0.01) with lesser liver Zn in Zn0 and Zn150 steers. These data suggest increasing dietary Zn improves growth directly following the administration of a steroidal implant and that steroidal implants and beta agonists differ in their effects on protein metabolism. This paper investigates the Chinese stock market reactions to the announcements of Covid-19 vaccine approvals. These announcements generally impacted stock prices, but the impacts appeared to be heterogeneous across sectors. Particularly, firms in the manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and information technology sectors were persistently benefited. We also find that firms with poorer performance, smaller sizes, and greater ages reacted more positively compared to others.Recently, the COVID-19 pandemic becomes increased in a drastic way, with the availability of a limited quantity of rapid testing kits. Therefore, automated COVID-19 diagnosis models are essential to identify the existence of disease from radiological images. Earlier studies have focused on the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques using X-ray images on COVID-19 diagnosis. This paper aims to develop a Deep Learning Based MultiModal Fusion technique called DLMMF for COVID-19 diagnosis and classification from Computed Tomography (CT) images. The proposed DLMMF model operates on three main processes namely Weiner Filtering (WF) based pre-processing, feature extraction and classification. The proposed model incorporates the fusion of deep features using VGG16 and Inception v4 models. Finally, Gaussian Naïve Bayes (GNB) based classifier is applied for identifying and classifying the test CT images into distinct class labels. The experimental validation of the DLMMF model takes place using open-source COVID-CT dataset, which comprises a total of 760 CT images. The experimental outcome defined the superior performance with the maximum sensitivity of 96.53%, specificity of 95.81%, accuracy of 96.81% and F-score of 96.73%.Ivermectin is widely used in both animals and humans as an FDA-approved parasiticide. Ivermectin has also been reported to have antiviral activity against several viruses including coronaviruses. There are reports that indicate ivermectin may have some role in diminishing the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, but the evidence is inconclusive. The objective of this study was to determine if ivermectin was efficacious in inhibiting avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV, a coronavirus) replication in chicken embryos. Briefly, our approach was to use the Massachusetts vaccine strain of IBV in combination with various doses of ivermectin and then inoculate these preparations into chicken embryos to determine if IBV replication was inhibited. The embryos were examined for IBV lesions and samples of chorioallantoic fluid were collected for IBV RT-PCR analysis. Several trials were performed, and the results of our study indicate that ivermectin did not inhibit IBV replication in chicken embryos. In this Perspective article, we present recent developments on interaction effects on the carrier transport properties of one-dimensional (1D) semiconductor quantum wires fabricated using the GaAs/AlGaAs system, particularly the emergence of the long predicted fractional quantization of conductance in the absence of a magnetic field. ML390 in vivo Over three decades ago, it was shown that transport through a 1D system leads to integer quantized conductance given by N·2e2/h, where N is the number of allowed energy levels (N = 1, 2, 3, …). Recent experiments have shown that a weaker confinement potential and low carrier concentration provide a testbed for electrons strongly interacting. The consequence leads to a reconfiguration of the electron distribution into a zigzag assembly which, unexpectedly, was found to exhibit quantization of conductance predominantly at 1/6, 2/5, 1/4, and 1/2 in units of e2/h. These fractional states may appear similar to the fractional states seen in the Fractional Quantum Hall Effect; however, the system does not possess a filling factor and they differ in the nature of their physical causes. The states may have promise for the emergent topological quantum computing schemes as they are controllable by gate voltages with a distinct identity.A popular rule of thumb, usually called "heuristic technique" in Behavioral Economics, for determining the likelihood insensitivity regions of probability weighting functions (pwf's) is based on searching for points at which the pwf's are twice their values at half the points. Although this technique works remarkably well for many commonly used pwf's, it sometimes fails to provide the correct answer. In order to cover the class of pwf's for which the heuristic technique does not work, in this paper we propose, discuss, and illustrate an extension of the technique into what we call the "slicing method," which is capable of finding the subadditivity and insensitivity regions of any continuous pwf.Adenomatoid tumors are incidentally found, rare tumors that are usually benign. They usually originate from mesothelial cells and have been reported to occur in the genital tract, though occasionally occur in extra-genital locations. A 33-year-old African-American female was found to have a large multiloculated cystic lesion in segments IV and V of the liver. The patient underwent a laparoscopic central hepatectomy and the tumor was resected en bloc. On pathologic analysis, the specimen showed multiple cysts of variable sizes lined by a single layer of low cuboidal cells. Immunohistochemistry revealed cells staining positive for WT-1 and calretinin, indicative of a tumor of mesothelial origin. Adenomatoid tumors are rarely, if ever found to occur in the liver. Their malignant potential and biology in the liver is unknown, however given their benign behavior in other organs, resection was considered curative.Pulmonary sequestration occurs when a portion of lung tissue receives its blood supply from an anomalous systemic artery. Three main presentations, intralobar, extralobar and communicating bronchopulmonary foregut malformations, have been described. It is the second most common congenital lung anomaly. The intralobar variant is the most common type seen in 75% of cases, especially in late childhood. Imaging of choice for diagnosis are computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging. Management involves surgical resection with ligation of the aberrant blood supply via thoracotomy or thoracoscopy. Endovascular therapy with coil embolization of the aberrant anomalous systemic artery as a standard therapy or as a hybrid therapy is an option. We present our successful surgical management of an infant diagnosed prenatally with congenital lung abnormality and confirmed postnatally as intralobar pulmonary sequestration.Schwannoma arising from vagal nerve is a rare tumour. It is a slow-growing, benign mass, but rarely it might undergo malignant transformation. We report a case of a 55-year-old woman with asymptomatic Xth cranial nerve schwannoma in the left side of the neck. Initially, during the ultrasound examination, the tumour was misconceived to be a malignant lymph node. The patient underwent complete surgical excision of it. Histopathological examination revealed typical features of schwannoma. Clinical diagnose of cervical vagal nerve schwannoma is difficult. Magnetic resonance imaging is as an accurate diagnostic tool for these tumours. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice.Angiofibromas represent less then 1% of all head and neck tumors and occur primarily in the nasopharynx. Extra-nasopharyngeal angiofibromas are rarer. Remarkably, only a case of external auditory canal location has been reported. We present a case of an angiofibroma in this unique location in a female who presented with fullness of right ear and hypoacusis for 6 months. The clinical examination found a mass in the right external auditory canal attached to the posterosuperior wall. Preoperative audiometry revealed average right conductive hearing loss of 37.5 dB. A computed tomography scan revealed a mass on the right external auditory canal. Surgical resection of the mass was performed and the histopathological assessment confirmed the diagnosis. Post-operative audiometry showed an improvement in hearing function. There was no recurrence after 5 years. The prognosis of these tumors is good after total bloc resection. There are two techniques for a spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy (SPDP) SPDP with splenic vessel preservation, and SPDP with splenic vessel resection. In some cases, although the splenic artery (SpA) can be preserved, the splenic vein (SpV) must be resected. We report the short- and long-term outcomes of three patients who underwent a new technique of laparoscopic SPDP with SpA preservation and SpV resection (SPDP-VRes). A grade B pancreatic fistula, which occurred in two patients, was successfully treated with drainage tube management. In all cases, the omental branches of the left gastroepiploic vein functioned as a drainage vein, and there was no splenomegaly, thrombocytopenia, or varix formation during the follow-up period (19 months to 5 years). Patients undergoing laparoscopic SPDP-VRes had no severe complications during the follow-up period; preserving the left omental branch is a key to this procedure. Laparoscopic SPDP-VRes might be a useful treatment option for patients undergoing SPDP.

The present study intends to investigate COVID-19 by targeting their main proteins with 17 selected drugs used for treating Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) which is a chronic muco-cutaneous disorder. Here, an attempt is made to gain better insight into the structure of various drugs targeting specific proteins which will be helpful in developing drugs useful for therapeutic and preventive measures.

studies, molecular docking and molecular dynamic simulations were performed to repurpose the therapeutic drugs (n = 17) which were used to treat OLP against COVID-19. In addition, the maximum binding affinities of the key protein spike glycoprotein, main-protease (M

) of coronavirus, and Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme-2 (ACE-2) in the human body were evaluated with the selected drugs.

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) showed the highest docking values among the drugs selected for repurposing. Among the target proteins, EGCG has shown maximum binding affinity with ACE-2 receptor. Further, according to the molecular dynamic simulation studies, EGCG has shown the least conformational fluctuations with M

.

EGCG can be a potential inhibitor drug which can bind with ACE-2 receptor thus inhibiting the interaction of mainly M

protein and spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2.

EGCG, a natural compound shows antiviral potential having considerably high affinity and stability with SARS-CoV-2. It might be further employed as a lead drug against selective inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 for the therapeutic management of COVID-19 patients after necessary clinical trials.
