7%). The diagnostic efficiency was high (94.8%) but only 16.5% of the embryos was genetically suitable for transfer. Fresh and frozen-thawed embryo transfer resulted in 67 clinical pregnancies, 63 deliveries, and 74 live births, of which 60 children were HLA compatible. This yielded a live birth delivery rate of 30.3% per transfer. Information on neonatal characteristics of the matching PGT-(M-)HLA children showed reassuring outcomes. So far, HSCT was carried out successfully for 25 out of 26 cases. In conclusion, our data show that PGT-(M-)HLA is a valuable procedure the high complexity and limited delivery rate are balanced by the successful HSCT outcome and the positive impact on families. The recent emergence of organoid technology has attracted great attention in gastroenterology because the gastrointestinal (GI) tract can be recapitulated in vitro using organoids, enabling disease modeling and mechanistic studies. However, to more precisely emulate the GI microenvironment in vivo, several neighboring cell types and types of microbiota need to be integrated into GI organoids. This article reviews the recent progress made in elucidating the crosstalk between GI organoids and components of their microenvironment. We outline the effects of stromal cells (such as fibroblasts, neural cells, immune cells, and vascular cells) on the gastric and intestinal epithelia of organoids. Because of the important roles that microbiota play in the physiology and function of the GI tract, we also highlight interactions between organoids and commensal, symbiotic, and pathogenic microorganisms and viruses. GI organoid models that contain niche components will provide new insight into gastroenterological pathophysiology and disease mechanisms.Instructions for Salvia miltiorrhiza polyphenol injections indicate abnormal liver function as an occasional adverse reaction, but the incidence of this adverse drug reaction (ADR) has increased in recent years. We assessed S. miltiorrhiza polyphenol ADRs by performing a nested case-control study(NCCS) and meta-analysis. In the NCCS, 2633 patients receiving this treatment in the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College were enrolled. Logistic regression models found that in 58 (2.2%) patients experiencing abnormal liver function, the risk for liver dysfunction was associated with sulfa drug allergy (OR = 7.874, 95%CI (1.280, 48.447), P = 0.026), payment methods (OR = 0.106, 95%CI (0.012, 0.934), P = 0.043), duration of administration (OR = 0.922, 95%CI (0.862, 0.986), P = 0.017), cefathiamidine (OR = 0.441, 95%CI (0.216, 0.900), P = 0.025), human serum albumin (OR = 1.958, 95%CI (1.011, 3.789), P = 0.046), Dazhu Rhodiola injection (OR = 2.599, 95%CI (1.112, 6.070), P = 0.027), or reduced glutathione (OR = 0.394, 95%CI (0.188, 0.826), P = 0.014). Meta-analysis of reports on S. miltiorrhiza polyphenol ADRs in controlled trials and other observational studies included 676 patients, of which 17 (2.17%; 95%CI (0.0105, 0.0358)) presented with liver dysfunction; associated ADR risk factors included co-administration of other drugs. Our NCCS and meta-analysis had similar ADR incidence rates, which were higher than the rate in the drug instructions. This study provides guidance for assessing liver dysfunction risks associated with S. miltiorrhiza polyphenol injections. An amendment to this paper has been published and can be accessed via a link at the top of the paper.Urban heat island (UHI), a phenomenon involving increased air temperature of a city compared to the surrounding rural area, results in increased energy use and escalated health problems. To understand the magnitude and characteristics of UHI in Seoul and to accommodate for the high temporal variability and spatial heterogeneity of the UHI which make it inherently challenging to analyze using conventional statistical methods, we developed two deep learning models, a temporal UHI-model and a spatial UHI model, using a feed-forward deep neural network (DNN) architecture. selleck chemical Data related to meteorological elements (e.g. air temperature) and urban texture (e.g. surface albedo) were used to train and test the temporal UHI-model and the Spatial UHI-model respectively. Also, we develop and propose a new metric, UHI-hours, that quantifies the total number of hours that UHI exists in a given area. Our results show that UHI-hours is a better indicator of seasonal UHI than the commonly used index, UHI-intensity. Consequently, UHI-hours is likely to provide a better measure of the cumulative effects of UHI over time than UHI-intensity. UHI-hours will help us to better quantify the effect of UHI on, for example, the overall daily productivity of outdoor workers or heat-related mortality rates.Recently great efforts have been focused on converting biowastes into high-valued carbon materials. However, it is still a great challenge to achieve high carbon yield and controllable porous distribution in both industrial and academic research. Inspired by the multi-void structure of waste coffee grounds, herein we fabricated hierarchical porous carbon via the combination of catalytic carbonization and alkali activation. The catalytic carbonization process was applied to obtain well-defined mesoporous carbon with carbon yield as high as 42.5 wt%, and subsequent alkali activation process produced hierarchical porous carbon with ultrahigh specific surface area (3549 m2 g-1) and large meso-/macropores volume (1.64 cm3 g-1). In three-electrode system, the electrode exhibited a high capacitance of 440 F g-1 at 0.5 A g-1 in 6 M KOH aqueous electrolyte, superior to that of many reported biomass-derived porous carbons. In two-electrode system, its energy density reached to 101 Wh kg-1 at the power density of 900 W kg-1 in 1-Ethyl-3-Methylimidazolium Tetrafluoroborate (EMIMBF4). This work provided a cost-effective strategy to recycle biowastes into hierarchical porous carbon with high yield for high-performance energy storage application.Problematic behaviours are severe welfare issues for one of the world's most popular pets, the domestic dog. One of the most prevalent behavioural problem that causes distress to dogs is social fearfulness, meaning fear of conspecifics or unfamiliar people. To identify demographic and environmental factors associated with fear of dogs and strangers, logistic regression was utilised with a large dataset of 6,000 pet dogs collected through an owner-filled behavioural survey. Social fearfulness was associated with several factors, including urban environment, poor socialisation during puppyhood, infrequent participation in training and other activities, small body size, female sex, and neutering. In addition, we identified several breed differences, suggesting a genetic contribution to social fearfulness. These findings highlight the role of inadequate socialisation, inactivity, and urban living environmental in fear-related behavioural problems in dogs. Improvements in the management and breeding practices of dogs could, therefore, enhance the welfare of man's best friend.
