This paper aims to prospectively assess CRC patients' HR-QoL psychological distress and sexual functioning and identify clinical, demographic, and psychological predictors.

In total, 55 patients were evaluated from diagnosis to 5-year follow-up with the following instruments EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-C38 for QoL and sexuality; HADS for psychological distress; and specific questions to detect psychological variables.

QoL worsened after diagnosis and returned to baseline values after 5years. Sexual function significantly deteriorated over time (with no recovery, especially in women), while borderline/severe anxiety and depression decreased. A better HR-QoL at baseline was associated with better physical, social and sexual functioning, positive body image and sexual pleasure after 5years.

Neuromonitoring plays an essential role in the management and prognosis of patients with severe TBI. Our bibliometric study aimed to identify the knowledge base, define the research front, and outline the social networks on neuromonitoring in severe TBI. We conducted an electronic search for articles related to neuromonitoring in severe TBI in Scopus. A descriptive analysis retrieved evidence on the most productive authors and countries, the most cited articles, the most frequently publishing journals, and the most common author's keywords. Through a three-step network extraction process, we performed a collaboration analysis among universities and countries, a cocitation analysis, and a word cooccurrence analysis. A total of 1884 records formed the basis of our bibliometric study. We recorded an increasing scientific interest in the use of neuromonitoring in severe TBI. Czosnyka, Hutchinson, Menon, Smielewski, and Stocchetti were the most productive authors. The most cited document was a review study by Maas et al. There was an extensive collaboration among universities. The most common keywords were "intracranial pressure," with an increasing interest in magnetic resonance imaging and cerebral perfusion pressure monitoring. Neuromonitoring constitutes an area of active research. The present findings indicate that intracranial pressure monitoring plays a pivotal role in the management of severe TBI. Here, by analyzing public databases containing 64 517 patients of 33 cancer types, we found that the expression of Siglec10 was altered in 18 types of cancers and was associated with the clinical outcomes of 11 cancer types. In particular, Siglec10 was upregulated in patients with kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) and was inversely associated with the prognosis of the patients. In 131 KIRC patients of our settings, Siglec10 was elevated in the tumor tissues of 83 (63.4%) patients compared with that in their counterpart normal kidney tissues. Moreover, higher level of Siglec10 was associated with advanced disease (stages III and IV) and worse prognosis. Silencing of CD24 in KIRC cells significantly increased the number of Siglec10-expressing macrophages phagocytosing KIRC cells. These results demonstrate that Siglec10 may have important oncogenic functions in KIRC, and represents a novel target for the development of immunotherapies.To present the clinical characteristics and the misdiagnosis rate of acute coronary syndrome manifested primarily as throat discomfort, we conducted a multicentric and retrospective study in the cardiology and otorhinolaryngology departments. Records of patients with primary complaint of throat discomfort, absence of chest pain at onset, and an ultimate diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome, as well as patients with pharyngitis (as controls) were collected from May 2015 to April 2016. The patients' main manifestations were compared. Logistic regression results showed that chest tightness, dyspnea, perspiring, and exertional throat symptoms were significantly associated with acute coronary syndrome, with odds ratios of 8.3 (95% CI 2.2-31.5), 10.9 (95% CI 1.8-66.9), 25.4 (95% CI 3.6-179.9), and 81.2 (95% CI 13.0-506.7). A total of 25 (56.82%) out of 44 acute coronary syndrome patients, who were first admitted to the otorhinolaryngology department, were misdiagnosed, with a 12% (3/25) mortality rate. Migraine affects more than a billion people all over the world and requires critical employment of healthcare resources. Telemedicine could be a reasonable tool to manage people suffering from headaches, and it received a big push from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This review aims to propose a practical approach for the virtual management of these patients.

To do this, we conducted a literature search, including 32 articles relevant to the topic treated in this review.

The most challenging step in telemedicine applied to practical neurology remains the clinical assessment, but through a careful headache history and a recently proposed entirely virtual neurological assessment, this hitch can be easily overcome. Electronic diary compilations and virtual administration of disability-measuring scales, conversely, are the key features of effective long-term follow-up although we do not have apps that met the criteria of scientific reliability. Furthermore, tele-rehabilitation seems to be effective and has demonstrated to be a solution to alternatively treat chronic patients at home, and can be considered part of the remote management of headache patients.
