4 and 7.5 cm in kinematic processing after 1 h of processing using real-time satellite correction products. The compatibility of BeiDou-2 and BeiDou-3 on the shared B1-2/B3 frequencies is analyzed and discrepancies in the receiver clock are found. Next, since all three constellations share two common frequencies, the paper focuses on analyzing PPP performance of GPS, Galileo and BeiDou-3 on [L1, E1, B1] at 1575.42 MHz and [L5, E5a, B2a] at 1176.45 MHz. Horizontal and vertical rms of 6.9 and 7.1 cm are achieved in kinematic processing. The effect of the known GPS Block-IIF L5 biases is studied as well, as it is shown to affect the receiver position and clock, as well as the ionospheric estimates and ambiguities. Average improvements of 15% and 20% in the horizontal and vertical rms, respectively, are observed when these biases are mitigated. In this work, a methodology that exploits the optical properties of the nanoporous anodic alumina gradient index filters (NAA-GIFs) has been developed and applied to evaluate in real time the release dynamics of a cargo molecule, acting as a model drug, filling the pores. NAA-GIFs with two photonic stopbands (PSBs) were prepared with one of its stop bands in the same absorption wavelength range of the cargo molecule, whereas the second stopband away from this absorption range. Numerical simulation and experiments confirm that the relative height of the high reflectance bands in the reflectance spectra of NAA-GIFs filled with the drug can be related to the relative amount of drug filling the pores. This property has been applied in a flow cell setup to measure in real-time the release dynamics of NAA-GIFs with the inner pore surface modified by layer-by-layer deposition of polyelectrolytes and loaded with the cargo molecule. The methodology developed in this work acts as a tool for the study of drug delivery from porous nanostructures.Members of Mycobacterium abscessus complex are known for causing severe, chronic infections. Members of M. abscessus are a new "antibiotic nightmare" as one of the most resistant organisms to chemotherapeutic agents. Treatment of these infections is challenging due to the either intrinsic or acquired resistance of the M. abscessus complex to the available antibiotics. Recently, successful phage therapy with a cocktail of three phages (one natural lytic phage and two engineered phages) every 12 h for at least 32 weeks has been reported against a severe case of the disseminated M. abscessus subsp. massiliense infection, which underlines the high value of phages against drug-resistant superbugs. This report also highlighted the limitations of phage therapy, such as the absence of lytic phages with a broad host-range against all strains and subspecies of the M. abscessus complex and also the risk of phage resistant bacteria over treatment. Cutting-edge genomic technologies have facilitated the development of engineered phages for therapeutic purposes by introducing new desirable properties, changing host-range and arming the phages with additional killing genes. Here, we review the available literature and suggest new potential solutions based on the progress in phage engineering that can help to overcome the present limitations of M. abscessus treatment. The present paper describes the application of two types of food-industry by-products, brewers' spent grain (BSG), and coffee silverskin (ŁK) as promising alternatives for the conventional beech wood flour (WF) for wood-polymer composites. The main goal was to investigate the impact of partial and complete WF substitution by BSG and ŁK on the processing, structure, physicochemical, mechanical, and thermal properties of resulting composites. Such modifications enabled significant enhancement of the melt flowability, which could noticeably increase the processing throughput. Replacement of WF with BSG and ŁK improved the ductility of composites, which affected their strength however. Such an effect was attributed to the differences in chemical composition of fillers, particularly the presence of proteins and lipids, which acted as plasticizers. Composites containing food-industry by-products were also characterized by the lower thermal stability compared to conventional WF. Nevertheless, the onset of decomposition exceeding 215 °C guarantees a safe processing window for polyethylene-based materials.A new method for the detection of important scenes in baseball videos via a time-lag-aware multimodal variational autoencoder (Tl-MVAE) is presented in this paper. Tl-MVAE estimates latent features calculated from tweet, video, and audio features extracted from tweets and videos. Then, important scenes are detected by estimating the probability of the scene being important from estimated latent features. It should be noted that there exist time-lags between tweets posted by users and videos. To consider the time-lags between tweet features and other features calculated from corresponding multiple previous events, the feature transformation based on feature correlation considering such time-lags is newly introduced to the encoder in MVAE in the proposed method. Epacadostat This is the biggest contribution of the Tl-MVAE. Experimental results obtained from actual baseball videos and their corresponding tweets show the effectiveness of the proposed method. The prescription of preventive antibiotics (PA) in oral implantology is a controversial issue. The study aimed to determine the prescribing habits of PA in professionals dedicated to oral implantology in various treatments in healthy and at-risk patients. This is a cross-sectional observational study based on the STROBE (Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology) guidelines. An electronic survey consisting of 4 blocks of questions was sent to members of the Spanish Society of Implants. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. A total of 303 participants (20.8%) responded to the questionnaire. One percent never prescribed PA, 55.4% prescribed them always, and 43.6% prescribed them sometimes. Ninety-six percent administered them preoperatively, while 92.4% administered them postoperatively. The most commonly used antibiotic is amoxicillin followed by amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875/125 mg). Clindamycin is the most commonly administered antibiotic in patients with allergies.
