In fact, the implementation of informed consent differs greatly across these initiatives - spanning broad consent, blanket consent, and tiered consent among others. As such, this calls for an investigation into the requirements for consent to be "informed" in the context of population genomics. One particular strategy that claims to be fully informed and to continuously engage participants is called "dynamic consent". Dynamic consent is based on a personalised communication platform that aims to facilitate the consent process. It is oriented to support continuous two-way communication between researchers and participants. In this paper, we analyze the requirements of informed consent in the context of population genomics, review various current implementations of dynamic consent, assess whether they fulfill the requirement of informed consent, and, in turn, enable participants to make autonomous and informed choices on whether or not to participate in research projects. © 2020 The Authors.Spinal cord ischemia is an important complication of bronchial artery embolization for hemoptysis. It has been reported even though a spinal artery was not visualized on arteriography. We could show a 67-year-old man with repeated hemoptysis. His hemoptysis gradually worsened and diagnosed with severe hemoptysis, and transarterial embolization was planned to stop the hemoptysis. An anterior spinal artery arising from intercostobronchial trunk confirmed by computed tomography during arteriography even though it was not visualized on arteriography. Great care should be taken with transarterial embolization via intercostobronchial trunk, potentially branching the spinal artery, even though it was not visualized on arteriography alone. © 2020 The Authors. Involvement of the bones of the foot and ankle is rare, and there have been a limited number of previous case reports involving the talus. Here we report a case of giant cell tumor of the talus, which was initially radiographically occult in a 43-year-old female, with emphasis on MRI imaging characteristics. The patient underwent surgical excision and curettage. Histological examination revealed the presence of spindle cells admixed with giant cells, confirming GCT. We further provide an overview of the radiological findings of GCT. Giant cell tumor is a benign bone neoplasm of mesenchymal origin, identified by multinucleated giant cells [1]. GCT is locally aggressive and can destroy adjacent bone and articulations. The most commonly affected bones are the distal femur, proximal tibia, and distal radius, with an epiphyseal predominance in 90% of cases [2]. Presentations are mostly mono-ostotic, however multicentricity may occur in younger patients [3]. Very few cases have been reported in the bones of the feet, an incidence of 1%-2% have been previously reported [4]. GCT is seen between ages 20 and 40 years, with a 56% predominance in females [3]. Although benign, 1%-9% cases may "metastasize" to the lungs. The initial treatment is surgical removal, either en bloc, or more commonly intralesional curettage and the use of adjuvants. Even after resection, GCT has a high recurrence rate [2]. The trigger for GCT is currently unknown. However, a majority of cases have cytogenetic abnormalities of telomeric associations (tas). Prognosis is mostly determined by the extent of brain involvement as tumors in the brain lead to seizures, cognitive impairment and behavioral problems. Current evidence suggests anti-epileptic treatment before the onset of seizures reduces epilepsy severity and risk of cognitive impairment in TSC however identifying these children prior to the onset of seizures is challenging. Our case shows retrospectively reviewed antenatal ultrasounds of a male child diagnosed postnatally at 12 days of life with TSC. Analysis found a soft tissue mass in the right ventricle on antenatal ultrasound which was not captured in the initial ultrasound report. Though there are no reports of sensitivity of neurosonography for the antenatal detection of intracranial abnormalities associated with TSC, our case suggests that antenatal ultrasound could be used as a screening modality for antenatal diagnosis of TSC. © 2020 The Authors. It is characterized by high vascularization leading to spontaneous bleeding or massive hemorrhage. We reported a case of 13 years old boy with a swollen at the right face, nasal congestion, recurrent nose bleeding, hyposmia, headache, breathing difficulty, and a nasopharyngeal mass at CT scan. Angiography examination showed a highly vascularized mass which was successfully occluded through preoperative embolization procedures. It is suggested that imaging modalities is not only playing an important role in diagnostic process, but also as an adjunct treatment approach in patient with Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma. © 2020 The Authors.
