METHODS We used an exploratory, mixed-methods study that was based on the Canadian Rheumatology Association's Stand Up and Be Counted Rheumatologist Workforce Survey (2015). An anonymous online survey was deployed to groups of non-physician health care professionals across Canada who potentially had post-licensure training in arthritis care. Demographic and practice information were elicited. Qualitative responses were analyzed using grounded theory techniques. RESULTS Of 141 respondents, 91 identified as practicing in extended role capacities. The mean age of ERP respondents was 48.7; 87% were female, and 41% of ERPs planned to retire within 5 to 10 years. Respondents were largely physical or occupational therapists by profession and practiced in urban/academic (46%), community (39%), and rural settings (13%). Differences in practice patterns were noted between ERPs (64.5%) and n, Inc. on behalf of American College of Rheumatology.OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare surface roughness, gloss, and color change of dental enamel after being brushed with toothpastes containing diamond powder and traditional abrasives. MATERIALS AND METHODS Seventy enamel slabs were derived from 70 bovine incisors. The slabs were brushed with six different toothpastes and artificial saliva as a negative control. The specimens were then stained with black tea mixed with citric acid (3 days, pH = 4) and again brushed with the same toothpastes. Ra (contact profilometer), gloss (glossmeter), and color (CIE L* a* b* system) values were measured after each step. RESULTS Emoform-F Diamond (contains diamond powder and traditional abrasives) offered significantly the best improvement of Ra and gloss values after the first brushing sequence and the best recovery of the brightness of enamel after staining and second brushing sequence (P less then  .05). AMC 2.5 (contains only diamond powder as abrasive) was not able to offer such improvement. CONCLUSION Diamond powder as an additional abrasive in toothpastes could be able to offer a further improvement of Ra , gloss, and color values of enamel. © 2020 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.BACKGROUND High frequency 10 kHz spinal cord stimulation (10 kHz SCS) has shown promise in multicenter prospective trials for the management of chronic back and leg pain. Traditional spinal cord stimulation (t-SCS) has long history of effectiveness in chronic neuropathic syndromes but not uncommonly can fail to provide long-term relief leaving a significant group of patients with unsatisfactory outcomes. There is mounting evidence that 10 kHz SCS may offer relief in this subset of patients. METHODS The purpose of this retrospective analysis is to report a single institution long-term experience of 10 kHz SCS in patients who failed to derive adequate pain relief with prior t-SCS devices. A temporary trial of 10 kHz SCS was carried out for 7 days and those achieving an average of 50% reduction in pain intensity underwent implantation. Patients were classified as moderate responders if relief was 31-50% and excellent responders if pain relief exceeded 50%. RESULTS Thirty-one patients who had failed t-SCS primarily from poor paresthesia coverage underwent a trial of 10 kHz SCS and 29 underwent implantation. Twenty-eight patients were available for analysis with 57.1% achieving 30% response and 46.4% were in the category of excellent response at a median follow up of 21.2 months (±8.4). CONCLUSIONS This small single institution study suggests that a significant proportion of patients with previously failed t-SCS may achieve clinically meaningful and durable pain relief with 10 kHz SCS. Here we demonstrate that the introduction of the cuprous (Cu + ) as a charge carrier can decouple the magnesiation related energy storage from the cathode electrochemistry. Importantly, Cu + is generated from a fast equilibrium between copper selenide electrode and Mg electrolyte during standing time, rather than in the electrochemical process. A reversible chemical magnesiation/de-magnesiation can be driven by this solid/liquid equilibrium. During a typical discharge process, Cu + is reduced to Cu and drives the equilibrium to promote the magnesiation process. The reversible Cu to Cu + redox promotes the recharge process. This novel Cu + mediated cathode chemistry of Mg battery leads to a high reversible areal capacity of 12.5 mAh cm -2 with high mass loading (49.1 mg/cm 2 ) of electrode. 80% capacity retention can be achieved for 200 cycles after conditioning process. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Huangqin decoction is the typical one of multi-originated formulas frequently used in traditional Chinese medicine and Kampo medicine. An ultra-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry was developed for chemical profiling and marker quantification of Huangqin decoction prepared with two different original types of peony root, white and red peony root. 47 main peaks in chemical profiling of Huangqin decoction prepared with white and red peony root were identified 9 was from peony root, 20 from baical skullcap root, 17 from licorice root, and 1 from jujubae fruit. The markers characteristics of the respective types of peony root in Huangqin decoction were differ from that in single herbs, especially in terms of monoterpenoids and hydrolysable tannins.
