To evaluate comprehensiveness and acceptability of the patient-reported outcome instrument (PRO-LBP) and the clinician-reported outcome instrument (ClinRO-LBP) included in the low back pain (LBP) assessment tool. Second, to assess degree of implementation after three months.
Feasibility-testing, training of health professionals, field-testing, and a feedback meeting was undertaken. Field-testing provided data to evaluate comprehensiveness, acceptability, and degree of implementation.
Feasibility-testing and training of health professionals revealed that the LBP assessment tool was usable and ready for field-testing. In total, 152 patients participated in the field-testing of whom 95% considered the PRO-LBP comprehensive and 59% found it acceptable. Health professionals found the ClinRO-LBP comprehensive and acceptable. The feedback meeting revealed that the LBP assessment tool broadened the health professionals' approach to functioning and facilitated a consultation based on the patient perspective. The PRO-LBP and the ClinRO-LBP covered key concepts of LBP and were found acceptable by patients and health professionals. Despite the reduced degree of implementation after three months the LBP assessment tool allowed the health professionals to apply a biopsychosocial and patient-centred approach. Future research should investigate whether the LBP assessment can enhance patient-centred care.Implications for rehabilitationThe low back pain (LBP) assessment tool is the first evidence-based tangible tool to cover biopsychosocial aspects related to LBP as defined by the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF).The LBP assessment tool allowed health professionals to apply a biopsychosocial and patients-centred approach and has the potential to be used in rehabilitation planning.Awareness to continuous facilitation and training of health professionals is important to facilitate and maintain implementation of new procedures into routine clinical practice.
The pharmaceutical or drug supply chain is the means through which prescription medicines are manufactured, stocked, and delivered to consumers. How the complexity and fragmentation of this supply chain shape or reshape the decisions and courses of action as well as risk aversions of its actors (stakeholders) is the question we address in reviewing recent literature presented at the 2021 AEA-ASSA economics convention. In doing so, we identify key aspects or dimensions of the supply chain that remain unexplored or under-explored in the empirical literature.
All original research relevant to the pharmaceutical supply chain were selected from the AEA-ASSA convention panel sessions. Empirical evidence was thematically identified, and the theoretical and practical implications of findings on firm and stakeholder decision-making were analyzed.

Whether and to what extent the drug supply chain will change to cope and adapt to the major challenges and upheavals it currently faces are lingering questions.In this study, we determined to interpret the effects of the interleukin (IL)1B gene rs1143634 C/T polymorphism on myocardial infarction (MI) risk. This study, conducted in a Chinese Han population, recruited 369 MI patients and 465 controls. The variant of IL1B gene (rs1143634 C/T polymorphism) was genotyped by PCR-RFLP method. In this study, a significant link was shown between the IL1B rs1143634 C/T polymorphism and MI risk. We found that the IL1B rs1143634 C/T polymorphism enhanced the risk of MI in this population. Subgroup analysis detected that the IL1B rs1143634 C/T polymorphism associated with MI susceptibility in males, smokers, and individuals with diabetes mellitus. In addition, the IL1B rs1143634 C/T polymorphism was related with the levels of blood lipids including low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and total cholesterol (TC). However, molecular mechanism of FTAI affecting reproductive performance remains unclear. To investigate the effects of FTAI on corpus luteum in 16 and 25 days of pregnancy gilts, 12 pregnancy gilts were selected from Altrenogest + PMSG + GnRH (APG) group and control group. The number of left and right CL in APG group were significantly higher than control (p less then 0.05). Furthermore, result showed the number of differentially expressed genes between 16APG group and 16 C group was obviously larger than that between 25APG and 25 C group (2394 vs. 1476). Up regulated genes in APG were mainly associated with cytokine production and secretion, cell communication and transport (day 16) and angiogenesis, cell cycle and cell-cell signaling (day 25). The expression of differentially expressed genes (RPL10, CYP17A1, DCN, IL18, LDLR and PRLR) in luteal tissue were verified by real-time PCR. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between illness perceptions, medication beliefs, and self-reported adherence to inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) therapy in adult Chinese patients with asthma.
A cross-sectional survey was conducted in the asthma outpatient clinic of Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University (Shanghai, China) between October 2018 and September 2019. Illness perceptions, medication beliefs, and medication adherence were assessed using validated scales, specifically the Medication Adherence Report Scale for Asthma, Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire -Specific, and the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire. Spearman correlation and multiple logistic regression were used to determine the relationship among these factors.
A total of 234 patients were included in this study. Of this group, 99 (42.3%) participants were non-adherent to their ICS medication. The aim was to culturally validate a questionnaire about children's/youth's participation to be used in a Swedish context.
FUNDES-Child, based on the well-established CASP, was chosen. Questions about engagement and hindering factors were added to the existing questions about frequency and independence in 20 activity areas. Using a qualitative, explorative design, 16 interviews with children/youths/caregivers were made to explore opinions about the questionnaire. Follow-up interviews confirmed the result of the revised questionnaire. Qualitative content analysis was performed.
The interviews provided support for the questionnaire's relevance by being a tool to assess important aspects of participation, to gain insights into one's own/the child's participation, and to promote ideas about what causes the degree of participation. To achieve comprehensiveness, no activity area was found to be missing nor superfluous. However, some examples were needed to be modified where "parades" are unusual in Sweden and therefore removed, while "singing in choir" was added.
